  • Kajukenbo is in the same family as the other Hawaiian art Lima Lama as tuaght by Tino Tuiolosega and his son Rudy.

  • Too bad kajukenbo isn't as mainstream in the world as karate, judo, boxing, jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, wrestling, and muay thai.

  • OMG * 10 000

  • i never heard of this art before... but for me it looks really interesting, effective and powerful... i´m sure if you train this you are able to kick asses^^

    BRAUN - OGRO COMBATE

  • Look's sick. Great technique's.

  • That... is so BADASSS!!!!!

    Saludos

  • Technically itś Hawaiian, it didn´t become a US state until 1959; 11yrs after Kajukenboś creation. Itś American however if u dnt acknowledge this fact, as if Hawaii was one of the original 13 colonies of the US. I´m a GojuRyu student & will never say Karate came from Japan when it originated from Okinawa & heavily influenced by China. Taking it a step further none of the founders of Kajukenbo were American, as in white male, but of Asian descent. Wish they had Kajukenbo out here though!!

  • "i think they do more grappling now in Kajukenbo too"

That's true because Kajukenbo is always evolving, they refer to the Jeet Kune Do philosophy of always using useful techniques from any art.

  • You gotta love it when you see the synergy of several different systems into one comprehensive martial art.

  • Very good technique and form with a solid emphasis on proper pivoting. Too often, martial artists forget the legs drive the hands. Nice vid!

  • i think they do more grappling now in Kajukenbo too

  • thecreditcure...have you researched kajukenbo? the first true american mix-martial art! it was created by five men of different styles and systems in 1947. as per hiddit's comment...it's much more aggressive than wing chun and uses more angles of attack.

  • Its not american. Its HAWAI'IAN!

  • hmmm...last time I checked Hawaii was the 50th state. Also, every kajukenbo site says it is America. btw...i'm from Hawaii and a kajukenbo practitioner.

  • Then you above all ppl should know about the unjust over throw of the Hawai'ian manarchy. You been reading too many american history books written by haole historians Braddah.

Just as most okinawan karate-ka whom practice Karate will tell you that Karate isnt Japanese. its Okinawan.

  • of course i know about hawaiian history and island sovereignty groups. are you in the kajukenbo system? unless you are and have direct contact with the sytem's founders and chief instructors, maybe you should take it up with them and see what they call it. i can give you their email addresses if you want. msg. me.

i'm big on history and culture, not just America's but on the world scope. The only true hawaiian martial art would be Lua.

  • Its from Hawaii, even though its part of America its like saying judo is from Asia, its just an umberlla statement suggestings that it is from a general area.

  • I haven't learned the advanced moves like they display.

At 0:55, that's what I learned. The combination post take-down attacks. This video needed more of those.

  • Hey, Hiddit I was just saying how it looks kinda like a hybrid of JKD and saw your comment. Good eyes buddy!

  • kann man das auch in deutschland trainieren ?

  • nice

  • its looks as fast and agressive like wing chun

  • It was good
