Well hello, friend. Seems as though we have bought exactly the same car, color and all! I've read that the P-Zeros slip in the wet. Have you noticed this as a problem? Thanks and good driving!
@CoonBabble I'm looking at those cars too. I'm getting the GTI (lightly used 2010) because the 128i isn't sporty at all (compared to the 135i). The GTI looks great, has a much more appealing interior, is more practical, and probably cheaper depending on options. But, if I had $31k to spend on a car, I'd get a barely used 135i.
@MrBabirusa i like the 128i's interior way better than that interlagos plaid sillyness. i got the terracotta leather, and jesus is that pretty. its got better performance stats than a gti, too. making it more sporty in a way, but without showing it off. both are nice, dont get me wrong. i liked both enough to be happy with either. the gti really shines in the fuel economy department, though. beats me by about 4 mpg on the highway.
@1006Will i got the 128i. it was about 35 grand vs 32 grand for the GTI. i really dont think my car is a skeleton, though. i got xenons, saddle brown leather, sport package, and harmon kardon sound system, with a MT. i feel like i got more car for the money. still love the GTI though dont get me wrong.
@1006Will I think skeleton 128i > loaded GTI. With even the most basic 128i, you get RWD plus a 230hp NA engine VS 200hp Turbo engine in a FWD car. NA > Turbo maintenance wise, and RWD > FWD.
@geckoisgiko very good car, great quality, I got a few collegues who drive older 3 series models and they're jaleous and a buddy of mine is getting one in a few months! Engine sound is good, and it's got enough to scare the little ladies who sit in the passenger seat!
@geckoisgiko No problems as of now... but I drove only got 3100 miles... manual tranny is solid, same for the body, nothings loose, nothing cracks, and I got the full warranty for 4 years so it cover brakes, wipers, bulbs, adjustments, so even if I make more trips to the dealer in the future who cares it's all covered! They'll even detail the car if I go see them!

@downtempo76 your manual tranny has paddle shifters...?
CoonBabble 1 year ago
@CoonBabble no it's a 6 speed manual transmission.

@geckoisgiko I think it's very reliable. The car is very nimble. the 135i has the same body style only thing different is the engine. (N54)
