but seriously people, every band mentioned in this video sucks. marylin manson is just gay beyond gay, and metallica just hasn't put out anything worth listening to. none of metallica's songs are even remotely fast or complicated. also, having heard their "new song" just proves that you all have another "load" album to look forward to.
well, you can have fast and interesting, or slow and boring. it's fun to listen to a song that sounds damn near impossible to play. that makes it exciting. when you have a slow ballad type song you can basically predict how the solos are gonna be if they're in there at all. thats what makes metal great, when you hear a lightning fast song you don't know what's in store. it's the "holy shit" reaction.

I, for some reason, like Jeordie. While he's a great bassist, let's be honest: he wouldn't be huge without Manson [not that I like Manson any more than I like Jeordie]. He's here because he's Twiggy, Manson worked with Trent Reznor which = Twiggy working with Reznor, giving him a place in Reznor's mind when he wanted a bassist for that merry-go-round that is NIN. Great guy it seems, but his fame isn't because of his actions, really.

well, you can have fast and interesting, or slow and boring. it's fun to listen to a song that sounds damn near impossible to play. that makes it exciting. when you have a slow ballad type song you can basically predict how the solos are gonna be if they're in there at all. thats what makes metal great, when you hear a lightning fast song you don't know what's in store. it's the "holy shit" reaction.

they've done the 500mph thrash thing which was cool but now they have nothing to prove speedwise, we all know they are thrash gods, but if u ask me they are using a lot more musical talent in songs like unforgiven and hero of the day because they are musically much more complex songs.

Watch a year and a half in the life of... and you'll see him saying he's always wanted to be able to write a solo like that but never been able to, which shows it's more difficult than just doing loads of hammerons and pulloffs on the same frets
