  • it rocks, just different guitars,,,,,lol rock0on

  • Wow...I only just found this gem. I grew up on both Dokken and Ozzy, and actually used to play Crowley in our set.As moneycd1 mentioned below,it would have been nice for Lynch to stick to the (key elements) to this solo,it still totally rips with class and expression.Could you imagine if this had of been the original version of Crowley...Not a better solo could have been played me thinks...

  • I'm a fan of both of them. At the risk of sounding like a purist, I wish Lynch would have stayed more true to Randy's solos. Still good though!

  • Really nice guys but dont compare him with Randy Rhoads!.....He cant reach him in this song!

  • very impressed with the lead Mr. Lynch

  • sucked ASS

  • brilliant solo!

  • Comment removed

  • @bgibson70 i dont know man, jake is pretty badass. but when i was 16 lynch was god

  • Is anyone else tired of people whining about changing the song? It's almost like they come here just to complain. If you expected it to be identical then you didn't notice George Lynchs' name was on here.

  • My favorite guitarplayer is Randy Rhoads. I mean, he's everything to me and nobody messes with his solos!

But fuck.. George put down such an amazing solo. His style is so fuckin' brilliant. Respect, and also, good vocals on the track!!

  • lynch!!!!

  • Ozzy Should get george to play for him

  • @MegaAcdcrocks1 They tried that 30 years ago, TWICE!!!!!!

  • better than randys imo

  • Personally, great songs should not be re-done. Certain songs like Mr. Crowley are perfect and should be respected. Changing them is disrespectful! No one should touch any of Randy's solos! Let his genius remain pure. Play your version differently live, but don't record it...

  • @shawnspeed3 Randy is a special case because he was a teacher, and he would have loved to have people play his stuff. He would probably super humble and even tell people they played it better than him even if we all know that is not true at all. I think the worst thing about these covers is the singing, which nobody can do quite like Ozzy. He's too unique sounding.

  • I can't believe everyone is ripping this cover. It's fantastic; I love George Lynch and his sound. He's one of the best guitarists ever. On the point of changing the solos, what is the point of a cover if you don't make it yours? If we want to hear it note for note, we can listen to the original.

  • The version of this song that Yngwie did was with Tim 'Ripper' Owens singing. This is definitely G.L.

  • You know Randy was a GL fan. He let George teach at his mothers studios when he beat George to join ozzy the first time George auditioned.

George never exactly replicates a song - not even his own. He improvises.

What would Randy want? Another exact rendition from one of the worlds greatest guitarists?

  • notice he doesn't change the intro leading to the solo? that's respect right there.

  • great song-cool version-nice studio mix

  • I love George and the solo's are F@## amazing, but... you don't take the masterpiece solos as written by Randy and completely change them. That's sacrilege :-) I don't expect exact copies or replicas, but at least keep to the main theme of the solo's...

  • @diramirez What is the point of a cover if you don't make it your own?

  • aww awww awww eargasm

  • Vraiment extraordinaire ce tribute à "randy rhoads".Un des plus beau solo que j'ai pu entendre.

  • MR crowley from MR scary, the scariest cover of crowley. yeah!

  • i likey. alot.

  • dude randy is my favorite guitar player, and i normally dont like when people change his songs, but as a lynch fan this is a fucking eargasm

  • jl turner sounds like shit.can't believe it's the same person who sang i surrender and magic.i knew that it was lynch and not malmsteen when i heard this.how did i know this?because i didn't yawn.you've heard one yjm solo you've heard them all.

still prefer rhoads 'though.his talent was not earthly.

  • The Singer is Joe Lynn Turner..

  • whos the singer, sounds great

  • @Schimmoller Joe Lynn Turner

  • u could tell thats lynch by the 2nd note actually the first if u know him well...........

  • 5 ppl registered as gay by giving thumbs down

  • Yngwie is a guitar god but for 30 years he's been obsessed with too much speed, sweep picking and ultra fast box patterns beyond the 15th fret in his solos. The album was meant to be in tribute to Randy Rhoads and Lynch has done a fecking fantastic job of keeping to that idea while laying down his own style on the original Rhoads solos. This is by a country mile the best song on the entire album due to Lynch's playing. He is a guitar God. The differenfce is the capital "G!"

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sounds like GL but its toned down if it is him.

  • malmsteen puts lynch to shame.

  • George Lynch Shredded on this with Respect to Randy

  • George Lynch is a guitar god!!

  • George is da man. I luv Randy too. But George is better. As Far as asking Ozzy? Hell he cant remember where he shit last.

  • how does this sound like ngwie??? are you guys retarded?

  • George+Yngwie+Zakk+Jake+Randy=3rd World War

  • guy in pic looks like duane peters

  • Gay. Anyone could play that.

  • @MattyGuitar665 so you can play like Randy? with same feeling and skill and speed?

  • Gay.

  • George is great, no doubt but to imply or attempt to imply that this version is better than Randy's is.....well, ......just plain stupid and ignorant for anyone who has a rock and roll brain. Randy was the best..........just ask Ozzy...

  • awesome! now I like Randy, but I'm sorry I have always liked George and he rips it up on this!! :)

  • ''Mr Crowley'' is not a practice backing track...

I'd like to hear Randy's licks to this one...

  • i'd like to see a midget do a guitar solo to this song with a Van Halen minature guitar, with Rob Halford leather spikes and shades. But he has to run around and scream like a maniac. With a beard and spitting beer all over the room and over himself. especially over his beard. But he has to drink it from his Viking Helmet and yell, "I am a Viking. I'm going of to war..!.da! da! da! da! da da! da! daaa!" then he does the DIO hand sign with his hand and jams to Eddie VH's Erruption.

  • @comanchehotspot ahahah what the fuck?!

  • @comanchehotspot that is if his fingers will reach past the drunk stage

  • I've been playing Crowley forever now and I try as hard as possible to pull off Randy's solos, every time. For me that's a tall order, but I would've liked to hear George do that instead of his own licks, we've all heard George play George. I wanted to hear George play Randy.

  • I love Dokken , I love Ozzy , I HATE remakes, copies ... However this FUCKING is Awesome!

  • Ozzy was a dumbass for chosing Jake E. Lee over George Lynch. Badlands by Jake E. Lee gets their ass kicked by Lynch Mob any day! Ozzy is still a dumbass

  • @comanchehotspot Goerge lynch is in my top three idols ever.. but with out Jake E Lee in ozzy we wouldnt have the bark at the moon album which still goes on as one of the best songs/ solos ever written along with killer of giants , shot in the dark and so on !!! but yes Goerge lynch is the man till this day !!! Metal up !!!

  • @comanchehotspot ozzy can still sing though and before i forget, yes he's had great guitarists. every one of them were great, but i am still disapointed he didn't chose george lynch. oh well. jake e. lee was great. he hung in there

  • @comanchehotspot Ozzy Chose Randy Rhoads Over George Lynch!!!

  • Lynch and Yngwie are both great guitarist and so was Rhoads. Don't forget Van Halen and also Vivian Campbell. Yngwie and Rhoads play classical and Halen, Lynch and Campbell play rock or metal with feeling. They are all great in differnt ways.

  • The funny thing is, George and Randy were actually Ozzy's final choices. He ended up choosing Randy over George

  • awesome cover....rhandy spirit always alive

  • wow......that gave me chills...........im so sure randy rhoads would really loved that.. lynch did a great job...

  • ★☆☆☆☆

  • fuckin hell that first solo is like sex

  • Wow, that first solo was very cool. Fits the song perfectly. How many other guitarists could come up with something to go so well with a classic song like this? Randy would definitely approve.

  • George's solo's great, but on this cover they changed the rythm, that did not go well for the song.

  • Randy Rhoads and George lynch in my opinion are the sickest guitar players ever.

  • @noexistence11 I agree lol

  • KILLER COVER!!!

    SO COOL

  • I'm with HMN on this. Randy would have loved this. And why would anyone want to do a song the same way over and over anyway? It's been done, now here's a fresh version. Don't hate, I'm a huge fan of Randy's but George killed!

  • did he sing here also?

  • How dare anyone change a masterpiece solo like Randy's. That's like changing the melody line for anyone of Vivaldi's Four Seasons concerts! Great playing by George (I love his playing), but mods are uncalled for.

  • @diramirez Actually, most musicians consider copying their solos note for note to be offensive. Rhoads is my ultimate hero, but speak your own voice instead. I'm just sayin'....

  • @diramirez Shut up George did great on this its a cover its not supposed to be perfect!!!!!!!

  • holy shit, major orgasm coming into the first solo

  • Amazing, and absolutly comparabel with Randy. Please post the Lynch/vince Neil Parnaoid version her. Thanks

  • Randy just can't be beaten and this is a definitive fact..nice cover, though

  • It's pretty good, and i really like that he injected his own style into it, but I wish he would have kept some of the original parts to the solo's because they're kind of boring when he does them. Just the beginning part of each solo would have done it for me because i think that the parts Randy came up with are the perfect ones for the song.

  • wow... george lynch at his best

especially the guitar solos rock like hell

incredible sound, always the perfect note at the right time, but never predictable, always surprising

  • One of the greatest paying tribute to THE GREATEST. This is kickass! Randy would be proud.

  • This is a really cool version, I like the way he injected his style into the song. It doesn't always have to sound like the version that we all know very well.

  • i like the screams of lynch's guitar in 1st solo

  • Nice work! Not even.. it's George lynch on vocals also...It definitely sounds like him.

  • try listening to some malmsteen songs, he likes to go off and wank, but he has some amazing melodies

  • This is Joe Lynn Turner on vocals, correct?

  • there should be no discussion. this is not yngwie dio or ripper. this is lynch through and through.

  • Mr Crowley just became Mr Scary Crowley...

  • U totaly owned that guy! If ANYONE thinks this sounds like Ronnie and Yngwie is totally tone deaf. What a tool! He must be like 4 years old !

  • anyone who thinks this is yngwie is a poser ass bitch........lmao.

  • Anybody who knows george lynch will spot him within 1 second of the solo. i cant believe people would get him mixed with yngwie. they couldnt be more different!

  • @melbunny there is a version that has yngwie playing guitar on it... its not this one though.

  • @melbunny of course yngwie can play the guitar!Lynch is a fucking noob!really people how can you hear this guitar player.....study music and change your likes....

  • @gjk200000 In that case, excuse me while I go and listen to the same Phrygian dominant/Harmonic minor shit over and over again.

  • @abdal0wnsj00 xmmm thats a delema vs pentatonic in the 1st box!Not to mention the incomplete phrases and the sucking vibrato....Yngwie not only masters musick theory(if you listen the firsts of his records you'll know) but he was the 1st who break the pentatonic curse. He is a pioneer in technical playing thats why everyone's trying to copy him

  • @gjk200000 Mate, I'm just having a bit of a joke here, I love Malmsteen but I do think George sounds good too. I'm also a big fan of Jason Becker, if you haven't checked him out you do indeed need to.

The first 3 albums by Yngwie are classics.

  • @gjk200000 dude if you dont like lynch than why do you come o his videos? we like lynch cause he doesnt play in the same key over and over like yngwie...sorry but everything that guy plays sounds the same and gets old after awhile so why dont you study music and change yours likes troll

  • @gjk200000 You called Lynch a noob. YOU ARE BEING STUPID AND I SUGGEST YOU TO STOP!

  • @melbunny yep lol duh

  • Its a cd cover from george lynchs solo album "will play for food".

  • this song whit ronnie james dio & george lynch

  • nah, it's Joe Lynn Turner :)

  • i'm quite sure its not yngwie

  • it's not Dio, it's Tim Ripper Owens.

  • The guitar style doesnt sound like Yngwie at all

  • ok i was wrong lets move on. its ripper owens go get a life now.

  • I admited i was wrong, Dio played with yngwie on dream on I got confused if you still got something to say about it.... fuck off... get a life.... move on.

  • That's not Dio

  • Comment removed

  • uh..no hes not. brad gillis is awesome but lynch is THE man

  • you're so right about the solo, it seems as if Lynch is holding back. Ive seen Lynch live in 88,91,93 and 95 and he plays much better and faster, dont know what he was thinking here. love lynch though

  • Lynch played this NO WHERE NEAR as good as Randy Rhoads, but the tone was definitely better than Randy's. That guitar solo was pathetic compared to Randy's.

    I've always loved George's tone...

  • he was good enough to be considered for ozzy after randy died. Brad gillis? he good, but hes not george

  • He did not GET the gig because he couldn't cut it...

  • I,m well aware of that. he got the spot in dokken. But all i was saying was he should have got the spot... Not Brad gillis

  • Why? I'm a Lynch fan, but Brad Gillis is 5 times better on guitar than Lynch...

  • HES NOT TRYING TO BE RANDY BRO.

  • the best guitar player ever

  • wow the guitar solo

  • Lynch have always a way to show us his inspirational and unique playing in anything he play.

  • never heard of this guy but the cover is cool

  • You should be ashamed! :O

George Lynch kicks ass and chew bubblegum!

  • lynch is great in every song he covers...

  • he is the best adn does not get as much credit as he derserves, who is singing

  • Lynch is the MAN...on any track he touches!

  • I love the way George never does anything like the original solo on the covers he plays on - even on classics like this one.

  • That's because he can't play anything like the original. He can't even play his OWN solos the same way twice...
