I wish someone would do a followup on the after affects of SM. I had non-viral SM. For the past 25 years, I have suffered from severe insomnia. My meds no longer work and I was wondering if there is anyone out there that suffers complications from the non-viral type of SM.

I went to a doctors office when I was 9 just for a regular checkup they thought I had spinal meningitis then I went to the hospital to do blood work, Luckily, I didn't have it. My mom was crying.

I had this Spinal Meningitis when I was 18 months old. Clearly I also had ears infection. Now I am happily hard of hearing man.. My mom was scare and she did cried..

@wendyblue7 the inflammation causes all the damage, and the inflammation is caused by the bacterias, parasites, and virus.... this microorganisms have toxins, and when they die (after multiplicate), they release that toxins and also, cell rests, parts of the membrane, and all that things causes inflammation

I had spinal meningitis when i was 13 and it was the most painful experience in my life. It was so painful that I constantly passed out from the pain. I never want to go through that again.
