@101Beautyandmakeup I was diagnosed at 17 & I highly recommend you go to a Neurlogist ASAP & have a full set of MRI's taken WITH contrast!! Do not let them talk you into a spinal tap! They are one of the worst things you will ever experience & completely unnecessary in diagnosing MS. I had one at 17 & wasn't diagnosed for a further 7 years. If you DO have it, get to a Neurologist & get started on one of the disease modification drugs.
@101Beautyandmakeup MS is different in every patient & does not mean have to mean disability. There are many great disease modification drugs available now & one is even a pill!! More & more drugs are coming out all the time & the sooner a newly diagnosed person gets started on them the better their chances are of never having significant disability! Best of luck to you hun!! I truly hope you do not have MS but if you do, try not to be scared. There are far worse things!
@101Beautyandmakeup Feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to. I have had MS for 14 years & would be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Take care!
@ChronicFatigueSyn I don't have MS but a very good friend of mine does. It is one very "shitty" illness indeed. She didn't realize she had MS till March when she was diagnosed. Currently she is labeled partially disabled and is sometimes in need of a walker. Symptoms are quick and terrible. She is only 21 and she is slurring really badly, has wobbly legs, her bones ache, she is unable to even stand over the stove to cook, she hasn't driven since her diagnosis... many things. And it WAS sudden.
My auntie was diagnosed with MS at 20. Everyday she continued as best she could. She made sure everyone else was fine before considering herself. She outlived so many life expectancies. Unfortunatly she passed away peacefully at the age of 47. Im blessed because I was born on her birthday and I share her middle name. It's just a shame that the disease only allowed me 17 years of knowing her. I hope one day a cure is available that way it can save the pain of losing someone. I love you Theresa <3
a couple of months ago my mum started getting a feeling of pressure in her head, her condition gradually worsened until the point of having episodes of losing her speech, dizziness, and being unresponsive. she finally went to the hospital after many trips to the doctors and she was kept there for 3 days, they did many tests and scanned her head but found nothing.
Over the next couple of weeks she got better with her symptoms becoming less frequent but her symptoms have come back , whats wrong?
@porkchop1990able I'm not a professional, but if you're wondering about MS - there isn't one definitive test to diagnose someone with MS. It's more a case of doing many tests and eliminating what those tests test for (if the tests come back negative). It's a diagnosis of exclusion - once they rule out everything else they think it could possibly be, then they say it's MS. Also, you can get acute symptoms, and then the symptoms can go into remission and you can be symptom free, intermittently...

There is now a Reformed Multiple Sclerosis Society that is urging for the medical community to check out Dr Paolo Zamboni's discovery that MS is caused by poor blood drainage from the brain. The answer to restore blood drainage from the brain is angioplasty. Watch the before & afters for this surgery called CCSVI on youtube- simply amazing. In just 24 hours a world of difference.
My understanding is it is Oligodendrocyte (like you said) which is the glial cell that makes up the myelin sheath nerve fibres in the CNS, and Schwann cells (like you said) make up the Myeline sheath in the PNS.

My mom struggled everyday with this, unfortunately she was taken away from me, the way she lived was no pretty, although I miss her dearly, I know in my heart how happy she is to never have to struggle with this disease. I've made it my life's goal to do everything in my power to help other families dealing with MS. My mom had progressive MS and it was horrible. I'm going to college, then to university, I want to help others.... I do this for my mom and its helps me deal. Never give up!

ms seems like it would be hard to deal with... i have noticed most problems in the body are caused by the immune system attacking what it should be protecting... talk about ironic...
WHAT'S NEXT Human trials are ongoing. Trials for later stages of MS are being conducted on animals using embryonic stem cells. The team has also successfully tested the treatment in other autoimmune diseases, including lupus, Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
CHALLENGES: The therapy for early-stage MS makes patients susceptible to infection. Later stage treatments require controversial stem cells; they face government restrictions and a lack of funding
Omega 3s, low saturated-fat diet (<10g/day), vitamin D (5000IU/day), and a multivitamin. Takes time to regenerate the brain with the right fat (15 weeks to 2 years), but it will help build myelin and reduce inflammation in the long run.
I'm 18, and after dealing with some numbness/sever pain/tremor problems in both my forearms, having balance problems, headaches, horrible mood problems, and pretty much all of the other symptoms of MS I'm convinced that I can finally tell my doctor that I need to see a neurologist. For about a year now I've been going to different types of doctors that have told me "it's not all in your head, there's something wrong with you, we just don't know what" Hopefully now I can have a prognosis
The reason why I haven't seen a neurologist until now is because all the other doctors (physical thereapists, chiropractors, message therapist , orthopedics , etc) told me they wouldn't tell me anything: and that getting an MRI would just come up as inflammation. I really hope that my theory is right and I do have MS, because it would be nice to just know what's going on with me.
It is a bitter-sweet road to know. The first time I saw my MRI I thought I would be relieved to know. Instead, it was a big bummer. Good luck. No news is sometimes good news.
@seekirk I understand completely. It's just, I can't stand this off and on and off and on pain. It's starting to ruin my life, and I'm heading to the next part of my career as a cello and bass performer/teacher, but I can't do that because my arms can not handle the movements like they used to.
I got an A.A. and B.A. in Bass Performance and Music. I understand completely.
I quit playing for a while, and now getting an MBA. I want to be the richest cripple on the block someday. MS did affect by decision in ways, but... I will will adapt. I don't advise you to do the same. It's just that things like MS force you to look out into the future (causes anxiety too). It forces you to think. no pun

i have multiple sclerosis & it fucking sucks see it's because of ms that i wake up every day never knowing if that day will be my last one day to walk

mS is so terrible. Mystep-mom, who is practically a mother to me, has it and I'm doing everything I can to fundraise money to stop and/or cure it. It's good to learn the scientific background
This is a good and simple explanation of MS to those who want to know more. I have MS and am very Positive about it. I have a website on a Positive approach to MS.
@WesternSandgroper Sorry for delayed reply, didn't realise you'd replied. We are all so different and all so unequal. If we were all fit, healthy, successful, happy and all the same.. I'd go with your theory. Conditions such as MS and other short comings we all have, give us the opportunity to be human and help others, give to charity and show/teach us humility. For me life is a challenge/test.. This is just my opinion.
some say MS is nothing more then a vesicular fungal infection.
vitamin D3 primary function is that it promtes the healthy cycle of the cell.vitamin was proven to cure cancer in the 1920's I am sure if it can help all dis-eases of the body.
over 10 years ago 40-60 nanograms per milliliter was shown to reduce the death rate of cancer victims in the study by 75%. the normal range is 75-150.
@r22gateway1 Campath. Check it out. Also, see H3ADY1313's channel. She recently went through a campath treatment and is now walking (with the aid of a walker) from not being able to even stand.
@r22gateway1 I know the cause of MS, I have had MS for 2 years and did many trials on myself that I am convinced what causes MS, this is also backed by research, if you want the information PM me.
METHANOL CAUSES MS. I avoided methanol from food, smoke, drinks for the past 3few weeks, and i regained sensation in my feet and face. burning and pins and needles in my head are going away very slowly, but over time i should be back to normal. avoid canned/bottled juices, fruits, vegetables, fast food. if you want the details pm me.
don't blame the immune system, you are doing this to ur self, the immune system is merely doing its job. quit poisoning ur self and ur immune system won't attack ur mylein.
now we know ms is not somthing you can get from a person who has it right? well the other day i was at red neck world aka wallmart & this old bitch was looking at me like i hope i can not get what he has well 2 thing u should know about J-man 1 i love hot sexy grils . 2 when i'm in a hover round don't piss me off well long story short i hit that bitch so hard i put a dent in the hover round lol
I have both MS and type 1 diabetis which can be a issue at time as they work hand in hand! If the diabetis isnt well controlled and you have a hypeo/low blood sugar,it can trigger a relapse with the MS.
So keeping the diabetis well controlled is sound advise, even if you dont have MS.
If you would like help with MS with a natural product (that actually works :"), see what Montel Williams is using. Click on my channel and watch his two videos about Protandim.
If you want medical proof that it works, go to w w w (dot) pubmed (dot) gov and search Protandim. Also search oxidative stress to see what role that plays with MS. Very interesting. These are studies done by major universities. Would love your feedback! Lauren
i was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when i was 13 and now im 17, i was in the hospital for 1 week. and the doctors had to do a couple of exams on me. but they said i was one of the lucky one's because some people spend months or years recovering.
@213menace , I cheecked with my doctor and she is sending me to a nurologlist ( spelling?) I won't see them until january though :( . My dr. ran some tests like checking to see if my diabetes is back, my tyroid gland and a few of things.
Have you heard about the MS research study examining benefits of apoaequorin for those living with MS? You receive apoaequorin, a supplement that may help symptoms of MS, and fill out a monthly survey tracking improvement. It's being done by "HOPE Trials" and you can now volunteer to support MS research.
this is a poem i've been working on about multiple sclerosis . when you bully me every day . you try to stop me in every way . but not to day so leave me alone get out of my way because i am some one's son,mom , dad, sister . multiple sclerosis can't stop us . while some of us can't walk or have to use a wheelchair, cane we are going on with our lives because ms will never take away the power to love, want for more or to be us with out you
@JMAN19851 I just watched another Rick Simpson interview and he says M.S. is cureable I have looked at a lot of his videos and he is speaking the truth. search RICK SIMPSON INTERVIEW PART 3 FROM MEDICINALCANNABISJOURN @2MIN 20SECONDS........... GIVE THIS COMMENT A THUMBS UP AND SPREAD THE WORD.
@JMAN19851 have a look at the RICK SIMPSON STORY RUN FROM THE CURE on you tube he is curing cancer by extracting the thc from the cannabis plant and eating it.... he also says that it helps with all sorts of other illnesses including M.S..... chrychek's videos....good luck.....also look at JIM HUMBLE M.M.S if it is a pathogen causing the problem his mineral soloution might work.
@Freddiewgbs That is a really sad story just remember that we are spirits in bodies ...your dad lives on....the cure is here.......... see my comments just above yours.
my dad has ms and hes really bad, he gets muscle spasms his feet are numb so he cant walk and is in constant pain, he still lives his life and chooses not stay in bed all day
@zombiechickenify2 have a look at my comment to JMAN19851 above my friend has M.S. and smokes cannabis but Rick Simpson has a new angle hope it makes your dad well.
I started to have numbness and weakness in my left leg/right hand, dizziness and other symptoms 10 years ago. Medical Dr. did not recognize the root cause until three years ago when I visited a neurologist and diagnosed with MS. I decided to create a website (mslogs.net) to help others to track their symptoms and injections. I hope it would help you too.
@kavmslogs Well, if you really want to help the MS-patients, please report the vascular origin of this disease on your blog, and results of the venoplasty procedure.
What is more important that I have done MRI examination from about a month. The doctor was surprised. She told me; the MS has completely stopped acting since your last MRI (from 5 years)
If you would like to ask me more don’t hesitate to send me a message.
To all MS patients, I was infected with MS from about 10 years. After being diagnosed in 10 months I took by chance the BLACK SEED OIL. As a summary, I’ve got rid of all the permanent disabilities, got extra power and the most important; I’ve lived since then for 10 years with no MS attack.
My MRI examination shows the stop of de-myelin for 3 years.

For about a year now I've been going to different types of doctors that have told me "it's not all in your head, there's something wrong with you, we just don't know what" Hopefully now I can have a prognosis
assilem405 1 year ago
The reason why I haven't seen a neurologist until now is because all the other doctors (physical thereapists, chiropractors, message therapist , orthopedics , etc) told me they wouldn't tell me anything: and that getting an MRI would just come up as inflammation. I really hope that my theory is right and I do have MS, because it would be nice to just know what's going on with me.
assilem405 1 year ago
@assilem405

I quit playing for a while, and now getting an MBA. I want to be the richest cripple on the block someday. MS did affect by decision in ways, but... I will will adapt. I don't advise you to do the same. It's just that things like MS force you to look out into the future (causes anxiety too). It forces you to think. no pun

Lauren
