The guy from the monster arena? You just have to buy some weapons from him, the best people to buy them for is Tidus, Auron, and Wakka, and I think I missed the fight here.

Just finish a monster off with a weapon that has the capture ability, you can buy those from the monster arena.

You get important items for weapon customization. And I believe you need to finish it to fully unlock Auron's ultimate weapon.
