All I gotta say is 72-10 when one of your teams does that then you can come back and say something but ill just say this kobe is officially done phils gone and the lakers are old he no longer has a chance at 6 titles or come anywhere close to 72-10 and for u miami focks lebrons only good for 3 quarters so u don't got a chance! And there's to many other young teams for miami to do anything the bulls are back...okc is looking damn good
MJ and Pippen could have gone on to win 2 more titles in 93-94 and 94-95, if MJ didn't become complacement leadin up to his retirement which was short lived anyway. They could have become the 2nd team in history to win 8 titles straight.
72-10 will stand forever, no team now or in the future will break that record. That team was amazing, no dominant point guard, no dominant center or power forward...Rodman was a rebounding, defensive beast, that's it. Their bench was thin also, outside of Kukoc
@outlawcountrydan Did the bulls team ever sweep there way into the finals and only lost game 1 of the finals like the 2001 lakers. Maybe you shouldnt hate....15-1 in the playoffs is the best record ever
regarding the hand check, remember though that jordan would grab his defender's calf sometimes when he was by him. Kobe bryant would have been great in any era. 81. What iif he was on a team with Wiltor Jabbar, the scores would be 160 daily. That said, the bulls were the best team of all time. If I'm back on D and I see Jordan, Pip, and whatever 3rd player is living the dream on this highlight, history taught me that there is no chance.Even if I'm 1st team all defense. even dwight or BigBen.
@Oo5viper The thing is the guys on the bench PLAYED every game like no other. They didnt pass the ball and watch Pippen and Jordan they played with them or Jordan wouldve punch them in the mouth lol
@8MunchenBayern8 you mean by having biased refs giving the lakers every call to create some "dramatic" 4th qtr comeback? with 3 HOF players, a very good bench including the player with the highest career 3pt % in history? nahh i dont think so
@Oo5viper who wouldve stopped Shaq? we know Jordan wouldve had the upper hand on Kobe, cause Kobe wasnt even in his prime yet...but still Rodman/Kukoc would be done by halftime with fouls
@8MunchenBayern8 lol i hope you not serious about rodman and kukoc being out in the 1st half... rodman was one of the best defenders of that time and could handle any big men, and he played in an era that included patrick ewing, david robinson, both hall of famers. and kobe wasnt in his prime yet, but really michael couldve bashed kobe when kobe was in his prime.. and remember michael jordan played in a time with bs hand checks, if jordan played today he would drop 50 any given night
@8MunchenBayern8 he would be lol, again jordan with that hand-checking slowed him down at times and if he played in today's star-protecting refs he would bust kobe's ass any day
@8MunchenBayern8 and also remember jordan played in arguably the best defensive era, and adding that hand-checking being allowed, kobe would literally die playing back then
@KOnneh1234 haha thats right & yeah i try not to compare but when retards come at me i reallyhave no choice but to do so and completely bash them like that other kobetard i delt with that had over 700 fav videos about kobe bryant -_-
@Oo5viper This is not the greatest team ever. Do you remember the Lakers from the 1980's? They had a way tougher road to go through and they were stacked with Hall of Famers. I'm not knocking the Bulls but their were a lot of expansion teams in the 1990's and the 80's had better TEAMS. The 90's had a lot of star players on separate teams but the 80's teams had a lot of star players on one team so it was harder to reach your goal but all that being said this team was amazing.
@cage000100 Yep and the material used on the uniforms were more expensive. Now its cheaper! Theres more detail in the mid 80s and 90s-2000 with the hardwood classic that has printed names and year on the bottom of the jersey. Now its plain borrowing jerseys.
Rodman, Pippen and Jordan could psyche you out of your game and make you blunder in offensive or defensive sets. That was half their power alone - MIND CONTROL!
The most impressive thing about that Grizzlies game is the comeback...but the fact that the Grizzlies were leading by 12 against the Bulls in 1995 is a close second.
Im on the side that believe that this team would rape any team today.....besides....who has balls enough today to man up to dennis rodman. Dennis will kick your ass...you saw that he wasnt having none of it from Karl Malone.
@BigTimePride most of the 90's team will beat teams today for one reason, teams today are crybabay and the 90's will just break you physically & emotionally. defense before wasn't about how clean you can defense a guy, if you're very good like lebron, they will really injure you to stop you from playing better.
@BigTimePride You made yourself look stupid with that comment. The 90's was the most physical era. Defence ruled the league. Bone crushing defence. Low scoring games. Yet Jordan and the Bull were dominant on both ends of the court through that whole era.
@bolder2009 Stupid? Haha, In 89-90 they expanded the league with 4 new teams and left free agency run rampant, which severely weakened the best teams. So explain to us how the league was stronger in the 90s? Oh, and explain to me how the Bulls only dropped 2 games with MJ the first time he retired and nearly made it to the ECF without him? When the champion of the league doesn't have a good low post player it kind of tells the story. Now lets talk about stupid.
@BigTimePride READ AGAIN. I said THE MOST PHYSICAL ERA not the strongest. The bruising style of defence that the late 80's Pistons made a feature of their game was adopted by several teams in the 90's.
@bolder2009 It was no more physical than the 80s. Those late 80s Pistons couldn't get past the Celtics until Boston faded and couldn't play their physical style any longer. And before them the early 80s Sixers were very physcial. I do agree the 90s had some physical teams but no more so than the 70s or 80s etc...
listen poeple...to say that the 2000 era players have some sort of substantial athletic superiority or edge on the players of the 90's is just a goofy statement. Im not sure the identity of the poeple making statements like that...but I have a suspicion its younger guys who wonder why European players are basically saving the league from turning into a crummy, boring experience where players simply throw up poor shots and then hit 1 of 2 free throws. 96' Bulls would SPANK any team today.
my dream match-up would be the 1995-96 bulls (72-10) vs. the 1985-86 boston celtics (65-17). why? because the celtics won 65 games in a very competitive 23-team league that has big name superstars almost on every team (nique, jordan, ewing, magic, isiah, bernard king, barkley, hakeem, sampson, moses, dr. j, toney, malone, stockton, mullin, etc). while the bulls played in a way-too-expanded 30-team league that feature some of his contemporaries in the peak of their careers (some are past their p
ALL OF THIS DUMB ASS DISCUSSION. THE 95-96 TEAM WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP. THEY HAD THE BEST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE, AND THAT RECORD STILL STANDS 15-16 YEARS LATER. END OF DISCUSSION.
jordan is a fake not a original magic and bird is the real greatest player of all time i very very hate jordan fuck you jordn you a fake not a original you are imitation of magic and bird lolololololololololololol
When people try & pull that "watered down" argument, I ALWAYS mention that 1996 & '97, 10 of 29 teams in the league won 52+ games, That's 34.5%, the highest % EVER in league history.
Shit MJ & the bulls beat "7" 60+ win teams in their 6 ring seasons. Shaq & kobe only beat "1" during their title years & Magic's Lakers also only beat "1" 60+ win teams.
When competitive eras are discussed & detractors try to discredit the bulls era, I mention these things & they get REAL quiet!!!!
@exile103 no, just the truth. why? you a little miami bitch and a lebron fan. seriously you guys gotta understand that you aren't the best there ever was. you only have one title! yes your big guys are good but nothing compared with the best nba player of all time and two other teammates high up the list.
@osamabindead1 seriously, someone that deliberately searches for a video just so they can fucking insult the sport in question is just sad? you're probably canadian aren't you.
@chetburgenstein I know right. He must of been so happy when he heard Mike was coming back to basketball as it would have definitely made placing bets a lot easier for him

with a strating lineup that includes ron harper and luc longley, lol these bulls would get CRUSHED in todays league and would probably make a middling #6 or #7 team in the eastern conference. funny to think about.
@cannedkitty You are a dumb ass who knows NOTHING about NBA history. Ron Harper was in YOUR 2000 - 2001 FAKER STARTING LINEUP! A washed-up player like Ron Harper could still be a starter in your team. That proves how shitty your team was comparing with the 96 Bulls. Not to mention the other two starters, S. O'Neal and Harace Grant, got their asses swept (4-0) back in Orlando in the 97 Conference final!
@cannedkitty What NBA expert are u talking about, cuz I've followed the NBA since 1980, and I've NEVER heard that one. Shaq & Kobe were the top 2 most dominant players in a watered down, luke warm league. But Jordan & Pippen won 6 rings in 8 seasons (w/1 and 2/3 w/o Jordan) in a somewhat tougher league. Expansion watered down both. Neither would've won in the 80's.
by the way the last two laker champions were won in a league that is IMMENSELY more talented than any of the seasons the Bulls in the 90s faced. (their biggest rivals were the 90s knicks who had offensively challenged scrubs like greg anthony, john starks, anthony mason and charles mason!) any 2000s teams>>>>>>>>>>>>>>jordans 95-96 bulls. sure jordan was great in the 90s but lets not let our childhood memories get in the way of reality. jordan continues to be THE MOST OVERRATED player ever
@cannedkitty Are you retarded or what? "any 2000s teams>>>>jordans 95-96 bulls"? Jordan at his age of 39 helped the Wizards win18 more games from the previous season back in 2000. The MOST OVERRATED played is idolized by some of the best players in the game today including Kobe and Labrown. That is how overrated he is. Jordan is 6 - 0 in the final while your Kobe got crushed by Boson badly. He would not have won the first 3 rings without Shaq and Shaq was crushed by 95-96 bulls!
@cannedkitty I am amazed by the fact that you just throw out shit that contradicts with each other. On one hand, you said 95-96 bulls "would probably make a middling #6 or #7 team in the eastern conference in today's league. Then on the other hand, you believe "ANY 2000s teams>>>>>>>>>>>>>>jordans 95-96 bulls."? If they were that bad, how could you say they "would make" the "6" or "7" seed?! Have you ever learned of any critical thinking back in school? You are full of BS!!
@cannedkitty you're dumb. there's been so many changes in the league that 2000+ teams play with shitty, less intense defense. ever heard of 3 second rule? u fking retard, stfu.
@cannedkitty Players now are more TALENTED? REALLY??? ATHLETIC yes, but TALENTED? Basketball players nowadays are "full speed, raw power, bigger, faster, stronger, no brains at all". 80s and 90s players were 100%, pure talent.
@argys666 It's highly questionable if the league is even more athletic today. There aren't really any athletic 7 footers ala Robinson and Olajuwon. And the league is full of Europeans who lack explosiveness.
@19bballer95 Yeah, Jordan, Bird, McHale, Barkley were lazy as hell... Anyone can work. To become really great, you need the talend. (example: Do you think Gasol (had talent, worked his ass off to become one of the nba greatest centers) would stand a chance against Robinson, Ewing, Olajuwon, M. Malone, no matter how hard he works? He can't even stop Perkins.)
are you trying to say that jordan or many other players were only talented? You are destroying jordans hard work,He trained 8 hours a day.Without hard work nobody can be great. They werent only pure talent, they were smarter
@argys666 more fundamentally sound on BOTH ends too ........back 80's 90's players had pride about how they played D tough D too .........i still love the game but all the pussy lil foul calls AND the way players expect to get a call every time they go to the hoop is real weak
@argys666 you don't think athleticism is a talent? i think it definitely is. players may have been more SKILLED back then, but that's because they were less physically gifted, less "talented".
except a few freaks of nature, like jordan, whom, physically, belongs more in the 2000 - 2020 era than the 1980's-90's era
@maulman100 1984 born. But I pay attention to basketball history and particularly to players whom are supremely gifted, to see whether they can use those talents.
@argys666 i agree. players nowadays are like the dinosaurs, big, strong, fast, you name it except for brains, so tiny, no common sense at all, just relying on their athleticism.
@cannedkitty "Immensely more talented"?! With absolutely zero center that can even begin to compare to the likes of Chamberlain, Russell, Gilmore, Malone, Olajuwon or Robinson? And they allow zone defense now. The Knicks had Ewing, Starks, & Oakley on offense. What they lacked on offense they made up for one offense, leading the league in 2 years, and #2 in the 3rd. Jordan was a force this league will NEVER see again. But Wilt was a greater force, and Russell the best finisher.
@thunderstruck103085 as much as i love jordan, jordan n pippen couldnt have beaten shaq n kobe both in there prime...at this point jordan and pippen had just passed their prime and kobe still wasnt there so you really cant try to compare the two...just cuz your a bulls or jordan fan doesnt mean you cant respect kobe and his game
@CK3890 what does that have to do with anything your comment further proves how closed minded and ignorant you really are...watch lakers and bulls game and see who won most of the one on one situations between kobe and mj...yea so before you talk thinking you know anything check your facts i could chool you all day but it would be a waste of my time apparently im speaking to a sped
@JuNBuGElReY You personally said you can't compare the two AFTER you yourself compared the two. I agreed that you can't compare the two because they all played different positions in different times.
To further elaborate on how you know nothing about basketball, you should realize that the NBA then had MUCH tougher defense. Ask anyone who watched basketball back then and now. MJ's Bulls any year would have destroyed Shaq's Lakers.
@JuNBuGElReY You're reffering to decemember 17, 1997 game were kobe score 33 pts 12/20 and jordan 36pts 12/22. I watch that game and its evenly match in one on one situation but MJ school everyone in the post up game and midrange and fake. , i've also watch the feb 1 1998: MJ 31 pts 11/25 while kobe got pts. 20 7/16
@bigfattony007 Umm, yr both dumb asses who know nothing about the history of the NBA. First of all, Ron Harper was an All-Star caliber player before playing with Chicago. He was still a quality guy w/ the Lakers, which is why Jackson went after him. And Orlando lost 3-2 to Miami in '97. They got swept in the '95 finals, after BEATING JORDAN & the Bulls in the playoffs. Yes, Shaw & Penn et al beat the Jordan Bulls. Make all the excuses u want, but Jordan came up short again in '95.
@exile103 Go read some history. Ron Harper had back and kneel problems before he signed with Chicago, and he was NEVER the same! In his first season with the Bulls in 1994-95 while Jordan was out, he only scored 6.9 PPG. He was merely a role player ever since, dumb ass! Jordan was out of basketball for nearly 2 seasons before he came back in 95. He was NOT in basketball shape. Excuses or not. That is the truth! When he was in shape, he showed why he was the BEST and won 3 titles in a row!
Most of the good teams in the NBA right now have one superstar who is their leader most of the time, a star player, and a bunch of role players. In this case, the 2010-2011 Cleveland Cavaliers only have a bunch of role players, and no one is going to want to play for a bad team. However, LeBron could have shown some loyalty to Cleveland and not embarrassed them on national television.
I still think the 71'-72' Lakers were better. Check this out: 69-13 regular season record (NBA record for 24 years) 12-3 post season record 33 game win streak (U.S. team sport record) 18 game road win streak (NBA record) .816 road winning pct. (NBA record) 12.3 point differential (NBA record) 121+ ppg 54+ rpg 27+ apg 3 Hall of Famers
@dallas021 Maybe, but 72-10 plus a 15-3 mark in the postseason, 12.2 point differential, and the kickoff of the most dominant three years of any team in any sport--the next year the Bulls matched that Lakers record again. They also held their opponents to just over 90ppg, which is a better barometer of team than offensive numbers. All of this done without a dominant (or even very good center).
I respect the argument, but as MJ said, "Anybody else win 70?"
@marlowethomas I see where you're coming from regarding the opponent ppg, but relative to the league in 1971-1972, the Lakers were very good defensively. They were 6th in the league in opponent ppg at 108.7 ppg. What was really impressive was that those Lakers were 2nd in the league in lowest opponent FG% at .432.
I forgot to mention Pat Riley was also on that team, another HOFer. I knoe he wasn't inducted for his playing days as much as for his coaching, but it's worth mentioning.
@marlowethomas also, IMO, the bulls' bigs that year were grossly underrated defensively. They were at rebounding collectively (lead by Rodman, of course), and they actually did a pretty good job of protecting the paint.
@marlowethomas The Bulls won 72 vs. who? The Pacers w/ Miller? The Nets w/ ???, the Bucks w/ ????, The Hawks w/ ???, Wash, w/ ??? Howard? They played a bunch of schmucky teams and won most of them, So?!!? What's the big deal about beating lousy teams? Really, tell my how many HOF caliber players per team they beat. The '72 Lakers were awesome, as were the '86 Celtics & '87 Lakers. The '96 Bulls would fall easily vs. any of those teams.
That passing at 2:24 is crazy as shit. I'm actually playing 2k10 and I might beat this record in my player mode. 62-9 is the record. So I have to win every game left to beat it. I wonder if you get something for it?
2:25 passing action...

@BigTimePride READ AGAIN. I said THE MOST PHYSICAL ERA not the strongest. The bruising style of defence that the late 80's Pistons made a feature of their game was adopted by several teams in the 90's.
bolder2009 4 months ago
@bolder2009 It was no more physical than the 80s. Those late 80s Pistons couldn't get past the Celtics until Boston faded and couldn't play their physical style any longer. And before them the early 80s Sixers were very physcial. I do agree the 90s had some physical teams but no more so than the 70s or 80s etc...
BigTimePride 4 months ago
listen poeple...to say that the 2000 era players have some sort of substantial athletic superiority or edge on the players of the 90's is just a goofy statement. Im not sure the identity of the poeple making statements like that...but I have a suspicion its younger guys who wonder why European players are basically saving the league from turning into a crummy, boring experience where players simply throw up poor shots and then hit 1 of 2 free throws. 96' Bulls would SPANK any team today.
maulman100 5 months ago
my dream match-up would be the 1995-96 bulls (72-10) vs. the 1985-86 boston celtics (65-17). why? because the celtics won 65 games in a very competitive 23-team league that has big name superstars almost on every team (nique, jordan, ewing, magic, isiah, bernard king, barkley, hakeem, sampson, moses, dr. j, toney, malone, stockton, mullin, etc). while the bulls played in a way-too-expanded 30-team league that feature some of his contemporaries in the peak of their careers (some are past their p

When competitive eras are discussed & detractors try to discredit the bulls era, I mention these things & they get REAL quiet!!!!

cannedkitty 9 months ago

(their biggest rivals were the 90s knicks who had offensively challenged scrubs like greg anthony, john starks, anthony mason and charles mason!) any 2000s teams>>>>>>>>>>>>>>jordans 95-96 bulls. sure jordan was great in the 90s but lets not let our childhood memories get in the way of reality. jordan continues to be THE MOST OVERRATED player ever
cannedkitty 9 months ago
@cannedkitty Are you retarded or what? "any 2000s teams>>>>jordans 95-96 bulls"? Jordan at his age of 39 helped the Wizards win18 more games from the previous season back in 2000. The MOST OVERRATED played is idolized by some of the best players in the game today including Kobe and Labrown. That is how overrated he is. Jordan is 6 - 0 in the final while your Kobe got crushed by Boson badly. He would not have won the first 3 rings without Shaq and Shaq was crushed by 95-96 bulls!
bigfattony007 9 months ago

@cannedkitty I am amazed by the fact that you just throw out shit that contradicts with each other. On one hand, you said 95-96 bulls "would probably make a middling #6 or #7 team in the eastern conference in today's league. Then on the other hand, you believe "ANY 2000s teams>>>>>>>>>>>>>>jordans 95-96 bulls."? If they were that bad, how could you say they "would make" the "6" or "7" seed?! Have you ever learned of any critical thinking back in school? You are full of BS!!
bigfattony007 9 months ago
@cannedkitty you're dumb. there's been so many changes in the league that 2000+ teams play with shitty, less intense defense. ever heard of 3 second rule? u fking retard, stfu.
wtph001 9 months ago
@cannedkitty Players now are more TALENTED? REALLY??? ATHLETIC yes, but TALENTED? Basketball players nowadays are "full speed, raw power, bigger, faster, stronger, no brains at all". 80s and 90s players were 100%, pure talent.
argys666 9 months ago 52
@argys666 It's highly questionable if the league is even more athletic today. There aren't really any athletic 7 footers ala Robinson and Olajuwon. And the league is full of Europeans who lack explosiveness.

19bballer95 7 months ago
@19bballer95 Yeah, Jordan, Bird, McHale, Barkley were lazy as hell... Anyone can work. To become really great, you need the talend. (example: Do you think Gasol (had talent, worked his ass off to become one of the nba greatest centers) would stand a chance against Robinson, Ewing, Olajuwon, M. Malone, no matter how hard he works? He can't even stop Perkins.)

@argys666 Not entirely true, Jordan had 100% talent AND 100% athleticism. :D

@argys666 more fundamentally sound on BOTH ends too ........back 80's 90's players had pride about how they played D tough D too .........i still love the game but all the pussy lil foul calls AND the way players expect to get a call every time they go to the hoop is real weak
Ryzon28 6 months ago
@argys666 you don't think athleticism is a talent? i think it definitely is. players may have been more SKILLED back then, but that's because they were less physically gifted, less "talented".
except a few freaks of nature, like jordan, whom, physically, belongs more in the 2000 - 2020 era than the 1980's-90's era

KwesiFAgyem 5 months ago
@argys666 i agree. players nowadays are like the dinosaurs, big, strong, fast, you name it except for brains, so tiny, no common sense at all, just relying on their athleticism.

dmun5587red123 9 months ago
@cannedkitty "Immensely more talented"?! With absolutely zero center that can even begin to compare to the likes of Chamberlain, Russell, Gilmore, Malone, Olajuwon or Robinson? And they allow zone defense now. The Knicks had Ewing, Starks, & Oakley on offense. What they lacked on offense they made up for one offense, leading the league in 2 years, and #2 in the 3rd. Jordan was a force this league will NEVER see again. But Wilt was a greater force, and Russell the best finisher.

JuNBuGElReY 3 weeks ago
@JuNBuGElReY You personally said you can't compare the two AFTER you yourself compared the two. I agreed that you can't compare the two because they all played different positions in different times.
To further elaborate on how you know nothing about basketball, you should realize that the NBA then had MUCH tougher defense. Ask anyone who watched basketball back then and now. MJ's Bulls any year would have destroyed Shaq's Lakers.
And did you jack those insults off a 3rd grader?

@bigfattony007 Umm, yr both dumb asses who know nothing about the history of the NBA. First of all, Ron Harper was an All-Star caliber player before playing with Chicago. He was still a quality guy w/ the Lakers, which is why Jackson went after him. And Orlando lost 3-2 to Miami in '97. They got swept in the '95 finals, after BEATING JORDAN & the Bulls in the playoffs. Yes, Shaw & Penn et al beat the Jordan Bulls. Make all the excuses u want, but Jordan came up short again in '95.
exile103 7 months ago

However, LeBron could have shown some loyalty to Cleveland and not embarrassed them on national television.
gooeysalt 9 months ago
dallas021 10 months ago
@dallas021 Maybe, but 72-10 plus a 15-3 mark in the postseason, 12.2 point differential, and the kickoff of the most dominant three years of any team in any sport--the next year the Bulls matched that Lakers record again. They also held their opponents to just over 90ppg, which is a better barometer of team than offensive numbers. All of this done without a dominant (or even very good center).
I respect the argument, but as MJ said, "Anybody else win 70?"
marlowethomas 10 months ago
@marlowethomas I see where you're coming from regarding the opponent ppg, but relative to the league in 1971-1972, the Lakers were very good defensively. They were 6th in the league in opponent ppg at 108.7 ppg. What was really impressive was that those Lakers were 2nd in the league in lowest opponent FG% at .432.
I forgot to mention Pat Riley was also on that team, another HOFer. I knoe he wasn't inducted for his playing days as much as for his coaching, but it's worth mentioning.
dallas021 10 months ago
@marlowethomas also, IMO, the bulls' bigs that year were grossly underrated defensively. They were at rebounding collectively (lead by Rodman, of course), and they actually did a pretty good job of protecting the paint.
dallas021 10 months ago
@marlowethomas The Bulls won 72 vs. who? The Pacers w/ Miller? The Nets w/ ???, the Bucks w/ ????, The Hawks w/ ???, Wash, w/ ??? Howard? They played a bunch of schmucky teams and won most of them, So?!!? What's the big deal about beating lousy teams? Really, tell my how many HOF caliber players per team they beat. The '72 Lakers were awesome, as were the '86 Celtics & '87 Lakers. The '96 Bulls would fall easily vs. any of those teams.
