  • Awesome! what pedals did you use?

  • Great job. One of the best I've heard, and it destroys mine

  • good job.

  • 0:28 I think david is pushing the whammybar down not a slide... good job anyway :)

  • that's a good one...if you play by ears - can you pls write down tabs and share? thanx a lot.

  • Nice sound and execution.

Watch out: at second 29 you make a glissato, but DG makes a dive downpitch with the whammy bar :-)))

  • Thanks for sharing. Awesome!! Love the shirt too!

  • try to use delay or some reverb, it would be perfect...

  • an atari shirt!!!!

  • thought i oughta bare my naking feelings

    ..good job!

  • Nice

  • Awsome at it's best

  • Omg really good stuff.

  • where did you find the correct tabs for that i found some that look like this close but are off to what your playing ?? can you send me a link to what your playing

  • I play everything by ear :)

  • nailed that buddy about time we got more of these on you tube thanks

  • wow..close to original

  • what settings and amp are you using??

  • Nailed it!

  • You even have the same type of strat Gilmour used back in the day.

  • sounds great - I would love to have the tab for this - can you tell me where I can find it?

  • Played by ear.

  • very well done! good tone also!

  • that was sick! i gotta learn it now

  • marvelous. 45 seconds well spent.

  • thanks :)

  • beautiful

  • your tone is very close to gilmour's. you got the feeling of the song, great work. it didnt sound like you were all that confident playing it, and it suffers from that. but thats just a question of practising the solo more :)

    Peace!

    Giving you 4/5

    :) Good job!

  • sorry, don´t wanna bother you, but what about the strings?what is the best type to play pink floyd?

  • Perfectly valid question :) I find .010,.013,.017 to be light enough for serious bending (I can bend 5 semi-tones with my .013). Gilmour uses .010,.012,.016.

  • oh,thank you :) I'll buy them for sure

  • Just switchd to .010, .012, .016 and I think I'll stick with it ;)

  • Great run, dude! You got the feeling of master Gilmour. Btw, does anybody know a good type of wood to play floyd? I really need to know

  • You mean the neck of the guitar? I'd really suggest the maple neck, because it's much better to bend strings on a maple neck (smoother neck), and you'll be doing a lot of bending when playing floyd

  • thank you, mate. Yes, I was talking about the neck. So I think I'll get a maple neck right away, thanks again buddy!

  • Gilmour mostly used a rosewood neck in the 70s.

  • nice sounds just like floyd

  • Dude, your amazing. Your strat, is nearly exactly the same as Gilmour's red strat.

  • Bitchen!!

  • Great !

  • EMG pick-ups, mate. Helps a lot. 2004 american strat, with vintage '57 bridge and neck.

  • Hey that was really good. Great tone

    Cheers

    adrianjemond

  • Overall sounded good, only thing I would say is could you record using a backing track, as hal the reason you sound good is Mr Gilmour is playing form your CD at the same time. Its apparent when you miss the pitch on one of the bends. We would be able to hear your tone and your playing better if it wasnt mixed, if you get me :)

  • Nice job! Love the tone.

  • Splendid, sounds brilliant.

  • Very nice!

  • cheers, mate :)

  • how old are you and are you lyk british or australian?

  • your tone is quite gilmourish..

    good job, man..

  • thanks :)

  • pretty good. you can improve it tough.

    from Brazil.

  • I appreciate constructive critizism. But constructive critizism involves saying what's wrong :p

  • VERY VERY GOOD...

  • good !

  • I'm playing ontop of the original song, yeah.

  • 5 stars for you!

  • cheers :)

  • wow fantastic

  • good mate

  • good job:)

  • great

  • Cool to listen this solo on youtube !! Very rare, thanks ;-)

  • Perfect, great job. I don't think there's anything to improve on.

  • cheers

  • I agree, perfect feeling and sound

    bravo! :D

  • wow

<---- the die hard floyd fan says :wow

  • Wow man...Almost perfect. You surprised me sir.

  • Congratulations!!!...you got the same style as Gilmour...this is one of the best Floyd solo!!!

  • awesome.please can u tell me what gear are you using and amp. and amp. settings

  • good work

  • very well done.

    tone was spot on.

the strat was nice to look at.

  • cheers

  • Like it, like it alot.

  • Very good representation of Gilmour's red EMG 57' strat. It looks like u went to his house and stole it. How much did the 57' reissue neck cost? I have your guitar, same color, except its MIM and I have the standard series pickups and neck. Debating whether i should fit it with EMGS.

  • I wouldn't ever regret getting EMGs. The neck wasn't much.

  • Not bad at all A++++

  • i love that song...... VERY NICE in DEED young chap

    is that a 80s fender 57 reissue ?

  • I'll have to call it a custom 2004 american strat, now. I bought a 2004 strat, then fit on a '57 neck and bridge, along with the DG20's.

  • are those the EMGs which david gilmour uses on his red strat?

  • yes

  • very nice playing and tone you have there.top notch.ive done one myself.see wot you think.

  • Brilliant mate, one of Gilmours most overlooked Solos. Got any more from the Final Cut?

  • Great song! and very well done!

  • good work

  • Looked and sounded perfect to me. Lacking the harmonizer effect, but whatever. 5's.

  • this solo is a masterpiece... very beautiful tune

  • my fav, well done, we need more from the finalcut

  • very very well played one of my fav albums of the floyd well done :-)

  • Fin T-skjorte :D

  • Clean, composed, and a great choice of music. ATB

  • that was smooth! 5 stars!

  • That gangsta music....I like

  • I love that gansta music

  • UR TEH BEST EVAR

  • Let's see.. the effect path would be:

    Compression Sustainer -> Gate -> [ Rat Distortion -> Analog Chorus -> Hiwatt 100 -> Marshall cabinet ]

The stuff in the [ ] bracet is all through my PodXT Live, meaning it only simulates a Hiwatt. I don't own one.

  • nice tone and feeling!! what are effects are you using?
