Conca made the right move. For only half-season he has established a Messi-like reputation in China. Everybody is so happy. The fans are excited, the club is winning championships and himself is making a lot of money. If he did not move to China, the best further achievement he could expect is warming up bench for Messi in team Argentina.

And Santos has Neymar, Ganso; Flamengo has Ronaldinho; Fluminense has Deco and Fred, Sao Paulo has Rogerio Ceni and Luis Fabiano.

Brazil isn't even the team it used to be anymore, Ronaldinho was playing terribly in MIlan before he moved home to Brazil. Deco is too old for the top European leagues and the other players you listed are mostly beginning their careers as professional footballers. Of course the big teams in Brazil always have full stadiums but they are all less than 50,000 capacity.

Not too hard to understand... China (Asia) is less attractive to any good soccer players. They have to pay premium to get someone like Conca. For Conca, it's definitely a tradeoff between career and money. He was on the edge by being drafted by either Brazil or Argentina national squad, but going to China definitely kills the future possibility.
