  • so like how much problem did this car give you going from 100k to 200k miles? like uhhh how many times did you have to take it to the shop and pay for something to get done on the car

  • i have 42,000 to go to reach 200,000 in my 2003 chevrolet trailblazer

    NO BREAKS

  • do you have any transmission problem whit that car ?

  • @itzzEric2 I did. The reason why these cars are infamous for tranny problems is because they have no filter. There is one inside but its part of the rebuild process. These are sealed trannys that are drain and fill. I changed the oil constantly every 6 months. I rebuilt the same tranny for 800.00.

Its worth noting that i rant his car during the summer for 50 miles with no oil! The car wouldn't let me accelerate beyond 4K RPM. Once i put oil in I was back in business. Engines are solid.

  • yaaaaaaaaaaiiiii

  • my '86 prelude has 219,000 miles and still goin good

  • owner of a 1990 accord LX with 247,500 miles <---- original engine/trans ....take care of these hogs and they will take care of you :)

  • My accord 98 coup 4 banger at 207,000 just today,

  • was there ever a tranny problem?

  • my 98 ex got 131,000

  • it better not be the original oil

  • I would laugh if your car broke down as soon as u hit 200,000 :)

  • My dads old 89 4 cylinder mustang is at 275,000 miles on its original 8 valve 83 horsepower 2.3L engiene

  • @bmxsodasmash u dont know what r u talking about this car is 10 times better than a old craped up saturn hondas last longer than saturns saturns are cheap cars so ur moms car has less miles than this car so what the engine on this car last longer its a honda

  • my mom's saturn is a 95 and it still has less, that things totally crap cuz the rpms suck and it can't go much faster than my go kart.

  • I just came across this vid. Since it is three years old , I was wondering do you still own this Accord and if so, how many miles on it now?

  • @itsmegp46 Sold it for 3k @ 239,000

  • my 98 got 231,000

  • thats a lot of miles for that year. my 92 civic is getting ready to hit 98k miles.

  • i have a ford expedition with 164k, although its on its 4th engine lol :D

  • I HEARD JOHN & KEN ON THE RADIO!

  • @hahatrainwr3ck they said truck is possible to make up 1 million miles.

  • lol my honda 1000 miles away!

  • LOL! Nice! I wish you another 200,000 miles. We got a '05 Toyota Camry, 119,000 miles (191,000 kms) and still runnin' like new!

  • v6 or 4

  • @Ignacio001 thats why it was at like 3000 rpm at 80. the 6 cylinder sticks at about 2600-2800 or less until you get to about 85 or 90 then it reaches 3000

  • i got 2007 accord an i have 572,*** 3.0vtec and run good i drive from ny 95 down to miami eva other week

  • @DAT843 Wow!! Thats alot of miles is your engine and transmission original? Do you still make that 95 commute?

  • @PeterGriffin4200 i did have 5XX on it i jus hit 650,000 last nighton my way back from vegas i drive it eva where it the save engine but not the trans and im on my way to miami from east bronx ny bout 2 i wil be on my way honda do good i got 97 civic wit 429,000 on it

  • @DAT843 So on what milege did the transmission went out on it? These Hondas are reliable as hell!

  • lol... yaaaayyyyy

  • I have a 1999 Accord with 458,000 kms with original motor and it still runs great! :)

  • v6 or 4?

  • Guys I agree the v6 99 most definately had transmission problem. But so did SOME 4cyl too. Just google and you'll see people complaining.

Infact, Honda extended warranty to 7 years, 100,000 miles. Thats for both 4 and 6 cyl. If your car is not giving you problem, you are simply LUCKY. So enjoy.

Btw, I would still buy Accord, even with transmission problem. No Camry crap for me. Honda rocks !!! And STOPS too, not like Toyota lol.

  • 161k on my 03 Accord LX Coupe...I can feel its not going ANYWHERE.

  • @9683636 No you are totally correct. The 4-cylinder accords last forever and have minimal problems

  • i hate japanese cars. you always see them broken down on the road or something

  • @blazzing4321 you just make a stupid common. do some research on american cars

  • dud 1998 accord 370,000+ miles i do a oil change every month its only 20 bucks keep the car happy :)

  • Man thats good news for me, just bought for family 99 V6 with only 90,000 miles. She rides like butter, but once in a while transmission jerks.

I suppose I better start saving for new transmission. This is my 7th Honda, never thought about doing research, didn't 99-03 were fucked up. Shame.

  • @spacyfoil Well the 99-03 models that did have transmission problems were only for the v6 engine. I just bought an 03 with 161k miles on it but its the 2.4l 4cyl. Im really condfident in it and it rides really well. My transmission shifts fine.

  • jajaja thass nothing man my accord 99 lx has 280,000 miles on it rite now lol

  • my honda accord 99 lx has 340,000 miles lol

  • Comment removed

  • @pr0sketch the v6 accords. The transmissions didnt go bad in the 4 cyls...less than 20 4 cyls made during 99-03 had that problem

  • I have a Honda Civic Shuttle 1.4 Dual Carb of 1991 and almost 100,000 Miles - And still pulls so hard ! Honda for life !

  • 1988 CRX 282,165 original motor and trans and that bitch runs hard and doesn't skip a beat!!!

  • you probably have like 300k now

  • I have one has 178,000 and still going and same original powertrain.

  • I would hope it doesn't have the original oil!

  • thats a Honda for you :) I'm a proud owner too :) 1999 Accord V6 baby! put all them camreys to shame!

  • Any car can hit 200,000 miles...

  • Really? Post them... More common on imports than American. Although I do see alot of truck past 300k. I have an F150 with 75K. I'll post the 100K video when i get there.

  • I'll post mine when I get up to 200k miles. have 195,000 on my Hyundai

  • @Ignacio001 NO!!! shut up if you take care of any car it will make it past 200k my dad had a 1989 buick century that had 130k and still ran solid without any major work done to it

  • @Ignacio001 hahaha yeh 300,000 for diesel trucks is just warm-up

  • @Ignacio001 i wanna see a ford or a chevy or even a dodge truck go past 200,000...

  • @Ignacio001 I took my cummins up to 750k, on a single rebuild, and my f150 to 210k on two transmissions.. Although I took my other f150 to 250k on original motor/trans, and my accord to 200k on original motor/trans.

  • @calebcowan85 95 powerstroke motor replaced at 1 mil 115k and my 84 f150 I6 is at 450k original everything

  • @calebcowan85 Damn you drive alot!!

  • @Ignacio001

most of the german cars can do 200k

  • Comment removed

  • mines still chugging at over 300k miles cause the speed censor completely died and died a year ago so i say about 400k now

  • Just sold my Honda. :( with 239,344 mi. I sold it for 3K cash. :)

  • what did you buy to replace it?

  • 2003 Honda 2003 Odyssey.

  • i have on my HONDA ACCORD LX 2.3 >> 341,000 MILES

  • why would you have the original oil sherloc

  • I miss our 99' accord, sadly, we had an accident, and for some reason, the airbags didn't deploy...

  • yay for 200,000 my van recently peeked at 200,000 i bought those glass chalk markers and wrote all over my car to celebrate :)

  • Yeeeaaaahhhh...

  • No shit not the original oil, it has 200,000 miles on it lol duhhh =]

  • Woo-hoo! You should've had a party and get cake and put a party hat on the car

  • my 1997 prelude has 215,000 miles, still runs strong

  • 200,000 is nothing special for a Honda.lol. The most I've seen is 500,000 miles

  • my stepdad has a 93 acura legend with 524000 and it still runs like a charm

  • wtf? are you serious?! lol

  • lol how funny would it have been if the brakes locked up the engine overheated then the wheels fell of. lol naw jp my dad has one of these. he has the 4 cylinder manusl. if only they threw a manual transmission by way of that 6 cylinder. it would be a beast!!!

  • I have a 98 Taurus with 215,000 miles on it, original engine. Damn, original OIL? That thing should be siezed up by now

  • Tranny rebuilt at 235,093.

    Still the original engine.

  • well come to the 200 high mile club lol, you need about another 38k to catch up to me but your closer that anyone else i've seen has...

  • transmission can't seem to keep up tho.

  • Funny you mention that. The car now has 229,421 mi and the tranmission is slipping. It only does it after you drive for more than 2 hours. Since the tranny has no filter (Filter is inside) i am going to try to flush it... It only acts up when it heats up. Nonetheless I am going to run this car untill it dies!

  • Trannies on these accords had a really high defection rate. I'd be careful of that, when I had my accord the transmission did the same thing, and a few weeks later it would only use third gear. Get it checked out soon if you can, Honda dealerships will replace it for free. Takes a day or so.

  • dam mines only 53k, costed me $3,100, but no problem wit the car everything works fine, the reason it was cheap cuz the guy who sold me needed money real fast. lol o well

  • Im 104 in my 98 Accord

  • congrats on your honda break-in. see you at 400k

  • my 2000 Accord EX is not at **240,000**

  • yeaa i got 27000 in my 2001 accord ex v6! lol it costed me $5k though.. aparently an old lady owned it before me.. but oh well im really happy with the car.. anyone know of the problems in the tranny with the v6 accords? anyone had em? let me know please.. im thinking of making lots of money to make a cl-s tranny swap in the future..

  • mine is at 140k, bulletproof reliability! i"ll keep it till the wheels fall off.

  • hey dude!!! would you believe me if i tell you that...people here in youtube..hate me cause i tell them that honda is so much better than ford...and they tell that specially accord has so many recalls and its worthless.........can you believe that?

  • That's why Ford stock is so good.. anyways, I also own an F-150 so I can tell you first hand that Honda's are built to last. My F-150 has 50K and still going but its starting to rattle like and old Ford. The window switch went out, they still cant fix my rear end (clicks) and well what can I saay. That will be the last Ford I will ever buy...

My next truck is a Tundra..

  • I think the best car ford makes is the Crown Vic, I purchaced a police package at 35k and drove that car to 160k with out any problems. Cant say the the same for the rest of ford's reputation. The Accord, Civic or any car that Honda makes is a great car in Gas mileage and reliability. My V6 Accord gets about 300 to 310 miles per tank in the city, the engine sounds smooth and feels like it has 40k miles at 142k. Thats why abought this car with high miles and will keep it. I wish it was manual!

  • I am currently 196,000 and uh...climbing.

  • I am almost there on my 1999 Accord. I'll have to remember to get video of mine.

  • And here's to another 200,000 !

  • Sweet. I have a 1998 HONDA ACCORD LX with only 120,000 miles on it. Its manual, VTEC ENGINE. 2.2L IT runs sweet and it hawls as$

  • was the original oil thing a joke? lol

  • Yes. :) I have ran the car with no oil.

I asked my self why has the check engine light come on? Why cant I go past 4,000 RPM?

    NO OIL!!! :)

Went 40 mi, no oil with the AC on. Still runs like a champ.

  • real playas roll odometers. haters walk.

  • I got a 1999 ex v6 going on 150,000. Its amazing how these Honda engines run. You can abuse the heck out of them and they just keep going.

  • i had a 99 Accord sedan Ex 4 cyl and i got rid of it at 94,000 miles in 2003. i wonder if i kept it, would it be at 200,000 miles too?

  • probably.

Im putting in an average of 160 mi a day. Eventually something has to give. I drive this sucker hard! My average speeds are between 75mph and 85mph and I get about 400mi to the tank. Not bad.

I am planning on converting this car to run on water. With soaring gas prices I have no choice.

  • hahah yeeeeeyyyyyyy. i can still do a 100...

the digital odometer's aren't as fun as the manual ones that roll over. but still "fun" i guess

  • loll..tru say!!...i have 3 honda's, 86 civic(fun car)...91 accord(super fun)...n this 99 accord(pimped out)....i drive the shit outta my civic n 91 accord n think 91 accord is the best!!!

  • NICE, i also have a 99 accord EX and it's about to turn 100k, thanx for the video man it's good to see that they last that long.

what kind of engine do you have in there is it the VTEC?

  • Yes, that is a VTEC engine. :)

FTR, i am now up to 222,000.

    I am averaging 160mi a day. :(

  • aint no vtec i got the same car

  • my dad has a 98 accord LX with the 2.3 in it. it has 137,000 miles on it and it still feels like new. It also has the original tranny fluid and original rear drum brakes. I'd say it would do 0-60 in 8-8.5 sec.

  • puhahahahaha yayyyy

  • actually, i changed my mind, i am going to buy a honda del sol instead :D

  • Those are very nice!! They only made them for a few years.

  • only problem is that del sol's are hard to find and they dont go for cheap :(

  • lol you're a dork. but ya gotta love the accords <33

  • i have a 1994 accord ex, with 145,000 on it, the engine feels just as strong as it did when new. :D, and also, my next car i want is a 1999 honda accord coupe, do you think i should buy one, and whats some pros / cons of them?

  • The only one con that I've heard of is the transmission (auto) tend to go out. These tramissions dont have an actual filter like most cars. It's just drain and fill. :)

Other than that just make sure you run a car fax report on the car and you should be good.

  • thanks man, maybe ill consider getting the stick shift for it then, i like stick better anyways hehe.

  • I have a 99 accord coupe with 170,000 miles on it. the transmission is fine and i am the second owner, so far it runs perfectly and we only had to replace the engine mounts (not as big as it sounds) its an awesome car and has amazing interior/leg room. great gas milge too. although the stock stereo is WEEK!

  • I have an 1999 Accord with 156,000 miles. I'm the original owner and have never had a problem at all. I'm not surprised as my previous car was a Honda Prelude that topped 200K miles. When I sold it, it was still running strong.

  • My 1999 Accord has 185,000 and counting! No major work done aside from the usual stuff. Hondas are great!

  • I have a 1999 Accord with 178,000 so I will be there in 2 years! Original Engine and Trans. Changed oil every 3,000. Drive 100 miles a day.

  • very cool. i have a video of my turbo diesel beetle just hitting the 100k mark on here! i used to work for honda very common to see 200/k ++ i think the highest one i was in was like 410k amazing!

  • great car i have one too... LOVE IT

  • Damnand still running strong! GOOD CAR i got a 96 and shes long lasting car of mine.
