  • てか、日本語上手いな。

    まあ、日本人の英語力が低いのはDNAのせいだから、努力しても無駄だと思うけど。

  • Failed to google traduct all this <_<

  • Good jnese .bro :)

  • you got the point!! I gonna find my mokuhyou!!! thanks

  • Thanky for hikozaemon!!

  • すごく勉強になりました。

    英語を勉強したくなってきました!

  • roaming around youtube...totally did not understand what you said besides the "uhm" parts in japanese...but u speak it very fluently ~high fives for you...>:D

  • 発音が完璧ですね。感心しました。

  • I am japanese.

I thinking about learning to English conversation(?) now.

    I will give it try.

    Thank you.

  • 10月からカナダに留学するんですがHikosaemonさんの話すごく参考になりました。ありがとうございます。また気合い入れて勉強頑張ります!

  • I saw many people who speak fluent Japanese and speak it naturally but you are one of the best. I don't see hesitation in speaking Japanese language. How did you learn that!!

  • Thank you very much for your enthusiasm and video! Good luck! VIKTOR :):):) (^__^)

  • man, you didn't have any grammatical erros in this video. I cannot do it in English.. ummm, your Japanese might be better than my English. You are my rival.

  • i agree with you Mr.Hiko!

i dont really remember what i did in english classes at school, i rather amused myself listening to English songs, singing myself, and trying to understand what they say.

IMO, especially for Japanese, English is definitely one of the easiest European language.

because the English verbs don't change so much as Spanish and German do, e.g. "go" --> Yo voy/Tu vas/Ella va... in Spanish

Japanese doesn't have masculine/feminine/neuter nouns also, neither does English.

  • Agreed. I'm always amused by the mistakes made by the people who proclaim that English is easy. As you say, it depends on one's native language.

I've come to think that it's better to consider how different any two languages are, rather than difficult. This applies to English and Japanese in particular :o)

  • i agree

why the hell i always toggle the "spam" flag and it never shows up in the regular way???

i hate this kind of censorship

  • my first is italian

  • that's not all

the alphabet is just one part of the whole thing

french, german, italian, spanish grammars are hard to learn at first. english is very easy compared to them. chinese writings is one of the hardest and even pronounciation. but the grammar is very easy.

english is easier than the others and it's not just about the letters

  • italian is the most complicated language out there (grammatically speaking), french is easier than english. I love french girls.

  • from an italian prospective english is the easiest of all

french is the same as italian. complicated in some parts and easier in others

  • You're good, you talk faster then most Japanese I usually hear. lol Makes it impossible for me to even understand a single word.

  • I wanna speak English well.

    英語を書くことはできるけど、話すことができないんです!がんばります!!

  • haha i'm american and i know my japanese better than my english, too many words that sound or look the same, and there's like so many meanings for one word. the only problem i have for japanese is knowing how to set up my statements and questions and kanji

can u help me with that?

  • Do you have an accent?

  • 外国の方が喋ってるとは思えないくらい

    日本語が上手いですね^^

    英語の勉強頑張ります!

    チャンネル登録しましたw

  • 笑、ありがとうございました!

    是非是非英語を頑張って、これからの動画を楽しんでください!

    Peace

  • JAPANESE LANGUAGE SOUNDS SO AWESOME!

  • hi! i think ur awesome btw lol x]

  • これはほんと良い動画ですね。

    YouTubuの日本関連の動画のコメントとかで、

    少しでも間違った日本語のコメントがあると、直ぐ在日か?や中傷ですからね。日本人はethnocentrism(エスノセントリズム)が強い国だと思います。

    英語は必要ないとか言う方がいますが先進国で英語力が低いのは良くないと思いますね。

    これからも良い動画を作って下さい。

  • やさしいコメントをありがとうございますm(_'_)m

  • @Hikosaemon

    とても励まされます。毎日見ますのでがんばってくださいね。

  • His Japanese is better than some of the Japanese people! WoooooW, he is amazing! Thank you for posting. How long have you been here Hikosaemon-San? You are inspirational!

  • Cheers, thanks for the nice comment

  • @mitincambridge you write "His Japanese is better than some of the Japanese people" who would you be referring to by that statement?

  • すばらしいですね。日本語が。

    説得力のあるアドバイスですね。

    私も最近、私って、なんで英語やってるのかなーって思ってました。コミュニケーションをとりたいではじめたのに、とってないじゃんみたいな。でも、英語を使う環境ないんですよねー。

  • Grammar and vocabulary-wise, I found English that is actually much harder to learn. But Japanese is hard because of the 1000+ kanji characters you have to memorize and get used to, as well as the different words formed using these 1000+ different kanji characters.

  • I think memorizing kanji doesnt matter so much. Reading Shonen manga, Shoujo manga in japanese ( where most of kanji letters are attached to the readings) is a valid way to get used to kanji because thats actually the way we Japaneses learn kanji in childhood without pain.

  • Been in Japan for about 2 years now. Yeah, I read kanji pretty well, but when it comes to writing... I suck... To say the least...

  • not really. how many languages do you speak...? there are things in written english that don't make sense at all (pronounciation), ex: vague, colonel, rough. a lot of things you also have to memorize as well. H + O = HO, correct?, then how does the word house sound like hause? just few examples :/

  • There's some difficulty in every language. You named the ones for the English language, name the ones for other languages now. The reason I say it's easy for me is because without taking any English lesson I became able to speak fluent English. Also no, I did not grow up with people who speak English. I live in a French community. If you compare French to English, French is 2 times as hard. Ex: verbs, sentence structure, accents, etc.. Every problem in English is more complex in other languages.

  • I agree with you when you say that learning english can be a bit problematic, but we do have something in common: I learned english not by lessons. I'm Brazilian and I understand what you mean about English being more complex in its own way rather than other languages. I learned the languange by living in the US temporerally and starting from scratch. Don't think I'm absent-minded in this.

  • That still doesn't make English the easiest language to learn...

  • The problem with English is that its grammar is highly irregular. It is fine for learning by phrases and memorizing, but to try to learn it logically by grammar rules, particularly in comparison to Asian or other European languages that are most structured, English is definitely a challenge. The great advantage of English however is that you can find it everywhere so you always have the opportunity to try it out, but I think that it is a challenging language to study.

    Peace

  • i'm italian and i'm learning french

i learned english at school and while watching movies. i know some arabic rules and all the alphabet, even took a beginner course for german

i find english the easiest language of all!

grammar is so stupid compared to italian or french. not to speak of german, that's harder than italian

  • Your Japanese is amazing....

    I'm stunned.

    You use complex words... haha

  • do you pick up an accent from his speaking?

  • its so hard to speak japanesse i wish i could speak it

  • where are you from?

I am 15 and from germany and i am learning japanese since august 2008...it is difficult to speak it so fast but i can speak some=)If you want i can tell you some sentenses in japanese=)

  • How did you approach learning japanese? I am hoping to start learning soon but I don't know how to start! =)

  • its hard if you make it hard

  • gawd I luff your japanese.

    Sayonara~ with much respect :D

  • well to correct yo youd say jana since your not saying goodbye for a long ti'e jana means see you later since you will probably see one of his videos again

  • てか、日本語うまいな~

  • can i take you home? ahahaha

  • your japanese is awesome!!!

    you speak it so fluently:D

    日本人って英語とか他の外国語に恐怖心を抱いてる人多いですよね汗だからこういうふうに気軽にアクセスできる場所で習えるっていうのはすごく貴重なことだと思います☆ありがとう♥

Thanks for making those amazing videos!!!

  • dude you are amazing I was just about to give up on japanese. do you think rosetta stone is good for learning japanese

  • I am using Rosetta stone to learn Spanish and Japanese , I think it's good for beginner , but need train more after 3CDs.

  • Man your videos are awesome, I have been studying Japanese at high school for two and a half years and can understand about half of this at the moment so I'm trying hard to get better. at my school I'm the only New Zealander who really tries hard though so It's quite buzzy hearing somebody else speak japanese with a slight NZ accent.

  • woooah~ just saw your other vid and decided to stop by and hear this one.. amazing! i only just finished beginning 1 so i have no idea what youre saying (i caught "benkyousuru" and "eigosensei janai"! 8D *feels proud*) but the combination of watching both videos makes me feel even more motivated now! thank you!! ^o^

  • Glad to be a source of motivation mate - I learned pretty much by listening and repeating tv shows, music and so on over and over... It's a good way to learn, and get a feel for the language at the same time.

    Peace

  • k , when i saw ur other vid talking about japanese, i go , here we go again , just a another beginner who doesnt know what he is talking about. after looking at this vid... instant subcribe !!! ur japanese is awesome

  • Haha, thanks man. Well, I like to point out, I've lived here a while, so it shouldn't be seen as anything special. But it is nice to have people appreciate the vids. I try to make all my vids on this channel bilingual, so hopefully you will always be able to get something out of what I put up here.

    Peace

    Peace

  • 英語は、世界共通語ですよ ^0^

  • 確かに、申し訳ないと思うのだが、日本人がアフリカの寮で南米人と会って会話をしようとしたら、共通第三言語としては、やっぱり英語は一番便利ですね。

    だからこそ、英語圏の人もそれを理解して感謝して、何かの言語を勉強すれば良いと思いますね。

    Orangeさん、ありがとうございます!

  • Well, English has already become our common language. It is not very hard to learn English.

  • I'm not really sure what you guys were discussing above..lol, but I beg to differ. As a native English speaker, (for me, at least) English is a very difficult language to learn (and master). I mean, I struggle everyday to improve diction, syntax...to increase my vocabulary, etc. So your comment regarding how English is not very hard to learn...definitely not true.

  • try to learn italian or german.

    english is easy

  • german isnt that hard either though :/

  • i hope you're jocking

    german is a mess

  • doesn't seem too hard for me

  • すみませんでした。沢山のアメリカの方とイギリスの方にお叱りのメールを頂きました。以後気をつけて行動して行きたいと思います。

  • Eri cSurf6って前の動画でヒコさんの英語がうますぎる~って言ってた方ですよね?

  • 笑、俺の1000人登録者記念動画に日本語の話しをしてくれた人ですね。かれは良い英語先生ですよ!

  • I like your outlook. Very positive. 日本語もすばらしい! Keep up the great work!

  • Thanking you kindly - you have a cool channel there yourself. You make those animations? WOW, now THAT is some hard work.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! Much appreciated

    Peace

  • Actually, there are two of us making the animations. We are tired of the "normal" teaching tools, so.. we want to give people an off the wall look at the language. It is a HUGE amount of work.. but its fun too. Our ぶっちゃけ英語コース on the babeeboo website will have over 30 animations when we finish. So, its still a work in progress. Thanks for watching!!

    「楽しい」という感情と結び付けての学習は、脳生理学上も非常に効果的なものであるそうです。

    英語も、まさに「好きこそものの上手なれ」ですよね。

    資格とかも大事かもしれないけれど、英語を好きになろう!

  • How to learn Japanese fast? I don't understand what the white guy is saying because I speak english and I'm trying to learn Japanese.

  • The white guy suggests looking at the list of related videos or my own video response to this, which has a video on speaking Japanese.

    ;)

    Enjoy!

  • I agree with you!!!!

Japanese already know almost whole of English glammar when we were younger.but we can't speak... Actually Its really bored with studying grammar without interest on the desk. But Its interesting that communication with foreigner^^ So I guess we need just 'Speaking'.

Anyway your Japanese are really good!Sugoi!

  • Wow cool! Your Japanese is awesome! O___o

  • Agree

  • good!

  • なかなか英語を習得出来ない日本人が多いのは早く習得する為のノウハウがあると信じて何時もそれを何処かで探しているためではないかと言う気がしています。要するに、そういう人達は正面から取り組もうとしないので、上達するべくもないのです。英語を商売にした宣伝の犠牲者が日本にはとても多い。

  • すごくためになった! 考えてみれば当たり前ですね! ありがとう!

  • 読み書きはともかく

  • Thank you for your good advice.

I wish I could speak English as fluent as you speak Japanese.

Anyway your shirt must be out-of-date, isn't it.
