This is the first generation of guys that had hangups about shitting together. In the 50's in a lot of factories, they would just line up like 10 toilets in a row in the men's room with no stalls or any kind of dividers and the guys would just crap with their coworkers and not be embarrassed or think anything of it. Not to mention the military. It is just a natural thing not gay at all.
