i was able to see the factions, but whenver i would click on one of them and hit the arrow to start, it would take me right back to where i pick which type of game i'd like to play. any ideas whats up?

Me and my dad tried doing this, and when we got done, the factions were there, but when I tried to play as one, it wouldnt work and my game crashed, but macedonia worked, which is weird. Does anyone think they can help?

OK, I don't know whether I'm just being retarded, but I have scrolled up and down countless times and searched each of the individual names but cannot find any of the folders mentioned in this video (except Program Files, that is as far as I can get). It makes no sense. Anyone have any suggestions?

@castatiger15 There is a better way. Go to your desktop and right click rome and press open file location and you will get there faster! ;)

This is only the windows vista interface, he uses windows XP, this is just a way that works for Vista.

do you know how to change factions name or add a new faction for example i wanna divide the gauls not in 1 country as it is in the game but as different tribes , same thing from the germans britons greeks dacians tracians etc...the bottom of line is to separate these factions into tribes but with the same proprieties .

Well, I don't know if you're an advanced modder, but you can always search around in your installation folder for files that are related to these subjects.

Well, I haven't heard of this problem before and I don't really know how to fix it.

Did you do it like this? :

1. Ctrl+X (then it disappears)

2. put your cursor in the group of the playable factions

3. Ctrl+V (they should appear under playables now)...

If this doesn't work I'm afraid it won't work at all :(
