Its literally the exact same thing as a drip pot coffee maker, minus the water heater and convenience, lol

except that coffee made this way tastes waaaay better than drip machine coffee - mainly because the water is cooler, and the pot is not sitting on a heat source

This is a time consuming way to do things though when you could use a french press or moka pot instead for vastly superior coffee
