have a leash hooked up to their collar and stand on the leash that is hanging on the ground. If they try to jump they will only get an inch off the ground. Second you can put them back against a wall. Third you can really focus on having them sit and making sitting really rewarding especially for longer and longer periods.

My dog keeps backing up and Jumping :(

Then when he jumps up hold your hand there until he sit and then he should sit and as his bum reaches the ground say sit!
