sir killy your an idiot. I have personally experienced -30 with -45 windchill whilst riding, and cuz of the mountains i was in the shadows until i got to the top. Also, if its so cold why would there be open water?
And finally, i would love to watch you try to crest a mountain when your ski's are up and your trying to body language your sled up the mountain, while dodging trees cuz if you cannot dodge a cow on flat ground try doing it on a mountain
I am very proud of you for riding when it is really cold, that's great. I will not say that mountain riding is any more challenging than flatland, because any terrain is as difficult as the rider's imagination, however I have taken some flatlanders into the mountains on their first deep powder ride and I would rather take beginners that have never touched a snowmobile. It was the most work I've ever done in a day of riding.
....nice video but i think mountain riders are to big headed...they think they are so special to ride mountains...i think the flat land riders like me have a way bigger challege...jumping field approaches going 75mph...water skipping... avoiding cows while in fields...and to top it all we have to ride in freaking -15 degree weather....id like to see that everyday in the mountians...any way...nice video 5/5
Sirkilly23, Whatever you say man...Every riding environment has it's own unique challenges, I will give you that. However, for you to say that flatland riding is more challenging is stupid. We have water in the mountains too, we also have fields, however the snow is often too deep to go 75 mph, which I'm not sure you could comprehend with your "flatland experience."
I agree...To be honest I am a trail rider and I love it, but I really think it would be a huge challenge to get to be a good mountain rider. Just wanted to say this cause I've never tried it but I wouldn't talk crap about it either. Dont unless you try it. So nayways have fun in the mountains...I'll be ridin around Wisconsin on the trails lol.
@sirkilly23 Come to Nelson BC guy, with your sled. You can stay at my house and ill show you around. When you wreck your sled then perhaps youll realize why sledding in the mountains is a whole other game. Nooffence but how can you side hill on the flats. Ride steep chutes threw tress jump cornices and climb over bowls. Youll have fun but I promise you your sled will be destroyed by the weekend.
@IveGotTheNuts lol to all you guys that took my comment really seriously (BTW, YOUR RESPONDING TO A YEAR OLD COMMENT) i know that mountain riding and flatland riding both have their challenges.... i only said what i said to get a laugh... and guess what, it worked, all these guys getting defensive.... hahaha
yeah definately go bigger...that was pretty weak...i only been riden for a year and i am a pro class racer now...thats of course thanx to the IQ 440 and 600
man, the drop at 02:55 in the video was totally awesome!! wish we could get snow like that in norway! check out my film, search for "snowmobile vefsn"
