  • So many on the long list of those who fail to recreate "The John Hughes Shermer, IL Universe". What a joke.

  • Looks worse than "Small Wonder"

  • 0:18 John Adams High from Boy Meets World. This TV Show looks great because the movie is funny and having a TV Show about it makes it funnier

  • Best part of the video is the part showing the clip from the movie.

  • Looks like COUNTRY BUMPKIN SITCOM DOGSHIT.

  • I remember marking the premiere of this show on my calendar ... and being VERY disappointed.

  • He sort of looks like John Candy

  • There were 22 episodes of this shit?

  • Had no idea.

  • Would have been better if the show had the same cast from the film.

  • Kevin Meaney is a motherfucker

  • Never new it happened until now.

  • Wow, that was embarrassing to watch.

  • Go upstairs and change! You are my niece, not a whore!

  • are there any episodes available online? I remember watching an episode of this show and thought it was watchable, plus the girl who plays Tia in this show is much prettier than the girl from the movie.

  • I thought this was a spoof I can't believe it was actually a real show !!.. R.I.P John !!

  • You know, from a distance, he actually looks like a thin John Candy.

  • Ok. Even a sitcom about Uncle Buck...is BAD. But still...You couldn't even get JOHN CANDY to play the role. You are aware HE'S Uncle Buck. No one else.

  • if not John Candy then Ken Hudson Campbell (played in Hermans head and Down Periscope) Ken would have made Buck a little crude but funny and seeing Kevin in that scene I'd like a White Sox fan out of no where just to smack him and that hat off of his goofy ass head.

If I was the creator I'd scrap the whole casting to begin with Replace Dah-ve Chodan with Tiffany Brissette. Jacob Gelman with Matthew Lawrence & Keep Sarah Martineck oh yes and writers with brains

  • who the fuck is Kevin Meaney? he should have just kept hidden and stuck with cartoons and stand up and never done TV

  • Buck (tv): Ever hear of a tune-up....hehehehehe.

Buck (movie): Hehehehe....Ever hear of ritual killing...hehehehehe

Buck (tv): I dont get it.

Buck (movie): You gnaw on her face in public like that again and you'll be one......hehehehehe.

  • Looks very bad. Another form of Uncle Buck (whether it be film, or TV) could have been good but ONLY if it was John Candy in the role.

  • @HankJennings maybe maybe but if John Candy didn't want to reprise the role Ken Hudson Campbell would have been good maybe a little bit of a crude looking version of him maybe with a tad bit more crude personality it would have been good still

  • As if Uncle Buck needed a series at all?

  • I wanna smell Dah-Ve's little butthole. I bet her anus is beautiful.

  • What that fuck... this looks terrible

  • Sorry, you're no John Candy.

  • Why couldn't this guy have died instead of John Candy?

  • @danamcwonderful: That's cruel. But if I may be cruel, too: I would prefer to see Ottfried Fischer dead and John Candy alive. Fischer is a German actor, and because he's 400 lbs and speaks with a thick Bavarian accent, people consider him a funnyman. However: He is a comedian who is not funny, a variety star who is not witty and an actor who cannot act. Sorry folks, but just being big does not qualify you as a funnyman. Candy had class, Fischer has flab.

  • didn't he get his life together and move in with his girlfriend by the end of the movie? so why is he still in the house w/ the kids and where are the parents?someone please explain i refuse to wikipedia this!!!

  • @douglasfranks This is supposedly a different universe than the movie. In this show, Bob & Cindy died in a car accident, and Buck is named guardian of Tia, Miles, and Maizy, much to the objection of Cindy's mom (the kids' grandma), whom was played by Audrey Meadows.

  • WTF Is this

  • As Bart Simpson once said "i am shocked and appalled"

  • What were they thinking?

  • Really?

  • this isn't real... right? no way this can be real.... right?? it's like they tried to squeeze the entire movie into one gay intro.

  • @snakebandit They tried too hard to make a series, give them some credit.

  • This was embarrassing to watch. It's amazing how many cliques they can squeeze into one 59 second intro.

  • this looks more like a MAD TV parody about uncle buck the TV show

  • i bet this lasted 6 episodes

  • @thisguyiscool69 22 actually.

  • That house they're in is from another 80s/90s tv show, anyone know which?

  • john candy will be always everyones uncle buck

  • I'LL PRETEND THIS NEVER EXISTED!

  • is that the same high school in boy meets world?

  • Terrible theme song! I never knew about this show.

  • I remember seeing an episode of this show where he was making a peanut butter sandwich (The size of the pancake) and used jello for jelly when he couldn't find any.

  • LOL

  • Wait... this really happened? I knew there was a Ferris Bueller TV show but this one is news to me. 1990 was (mostly) a terrible year for television.

  • @lordmaldad I guess since they thought it was a brand new era, they may as well try all this.

  • I heard of Kevin Meany, but I have no idea who any of these other cast members are.

  • This is one of those fake youtube videos right? Right?

  • @scottieman2 Afraid not.

  • No one will ever play Uncle Buck better than John Candy.

  • @PreviewDude52797 I agree. John Hughes created the character, but John Candy gave him warmth and depth. Any actor can play a quirky uncle, but only John Candy could play Buck Russell to perfection.

  • @Prorokini1 Agreed!

  • Time for another good idea/bad idea!

Good idea = Making an Uncle Buck movie with John Candy in the starring role.

Bad Idea = Making an Uncle Buck TV show with none of the original cast or writers.

  • @NYG4LIFE123 That's how most shows are, unfortunately.

  • This is REALLY stinky. CHRIST!!!

  • @dothedeedee not as bad as Ferris Bueller the tv show

  • it could have been worse...they could have made a TV show based on "Schindler's List" about the wacky goings-ons at a manufracturing plant and their manic employer Oskar Schindler (played by 80's icon David Hasselhoff).

  • @fratguy76 Does anyone know if he gets with the older daughter in this show?!

  • @fratguy76 Buhahaha, look up "Schindler's Pots" on youtube. its pretty much just that.

  • LOL lemme guess, this show didnt do to well hence it was only on for a short time.

  • OMG, I had no idea! Thank God it didn't go any further.

  • I remember this show, it was garbage. Same with the Ferris Bueller TV show.

  • .......damn...Just damn.

  • just smash a turd into your VCR and viola, you have the Uncle Buck sitcom

  • watching this makes me ashamed to be human

  • Thank goodness I wasn't allowed to watch this show when it was on for 5 minutes.

  • Sad by all standards. I briefly watched this show for 5 mins. I'm forever scarred.

  • looks dreadful. reading on here i see the star kevin meany is an arse bandit. typical.no escaping gays anywhere.

  • i dont remember uncle buck tv show???

  • I dont know any of these people... I dont want to meet them

  • Well at least there was no Breakfast Club series........ Oh wait im giving hollywood more ideas...... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What the Fuck? They made a tv show?

  • U disgraced John Candy with this piece of shit show

  • Horrific.

  • this i just stupid

  • i dont know who Keavin Meaney is but i hope wherever he is. Its in a grave across the mexican border

  • so this is what killed John Candy.....

  • --Wwwhhhoooaa...

This is the kinda bad that you get from an exaggerated joke that should've stopped 3 sentences earlier.

  • the movie is way better

  • Oh shit! Is there any way I can un-watch this?

  • @tricesimo mind eraser from MIB. but this show is better then the Simple Life and the Kardashians

  • @tricesimo LMAO if you were in hell and had to choose between 2 TV shows to watch & the Choice was this & Keeping up with the Kardashians you'll love this but 263+ episodes are made of each. do anything more major then shoplift from wal*mart or have sex before marriage then you're only choice is sex in the city & Golden Girls (badly made version with more St. Ola stories to boot and the cast had naked 3 titted 74 year old gremlins with eminem hair who look like Rosie O Donnell & Sandra Berndhart

  • IS THAT A FUCKING JOHN CANDY LOOK ALIKE?

  • i don't know what's worse this or the Ferris Bueller series..

  • How could such a great movie been such a horrible sitcom?

  • Uncle Buck with John Candy was a classic but this looks like a godawful failure of an ABC TGIF sitcom.

  • whose livin life to his own kinda rhythm, its uncle buckkkk, uncle buuck hahahaha

  • so John Hughes allowed a Ferris Bueller tv show and an Uncle Buck show but not a Sixteen Candles show? where's the justice?

  • I've seen an episode on USA back in the early 1990s and I remember thinking this show wasn't that bad but I prefer the movie a lot more

  • I actually think kevin meaney is funny, but they shouldn't have tried to make him do a character that John Candy made popular. There is no way that you could live up to peoples expectations.

  • what the fucks is this??

  • @emoviebuff87 I remember this show, agree this is shit, I tolerated a few episodes, but then chose to watch something else instead. They could've gotten John Candy to play the character he made famous instead of Kevin Meaney, maybe having Amy Madigan play Chanice, and it wouldn't have sucked ass the way it did.

  • h-o-r-r-a-b-l-e

  • The show would have been more popular if they'd had the cast from the movie.

  • If there is TV in hell this is what would be on.

  • @roadkill818 Don't forget Who's the Boss, which would be on every TV station. xD

  • Rob Corddry/Lou needs to destroy the development of this show while he makes his way through 1990.

  • @Foofighter18 - yea and destroy the makers of the Next Karate kid with Hillary Swank..

  • This is shit

  • Well...the song is pretty sweet.

  • More like Uncle SUCK!

  • Oh no. Oh no no no. NO! How can I make this no exist?

  • @arloj it's a difficult procedure, but clasp your hands together and spin in a circle really really fast. you'll pass out, but when you awake, you'll have forgotten about the show.

  • @CampMovieCamp What show? ;)

  • You know the song is pretty catchy!

It may not be as good as the John Candy movie but its whatever!

  • @brenthatesashley I'm glad you see this in a more positive light.

  • Its Uncle Buck! The Copyright Fuck!

  • kevin is/was a comedian, though i guess only moderately successful...

  • @CampMovieCamp - Is...he's done Broadway shows for several years as well as Vegas standup shows. Not super-rich like Seinfeld or a few others, but has apparently done well for himself. He did just come out as gay after his divorce a year or two ago, though...and that MAY have had some affect on his professional life over the years.

  • @xnonsuchx I'm glad to hear he's still in the biz! I remember him from something else besides this show, his wikipedia and imdb pages provide no clues as to the mental visual i have of a movie, maybe show, he was in...at any rate, what I'm getting at is, I want to see Uncle Buck: The TV Movie

  • Who is kevin meany

  • worst thing ever

john hughes would have rolled over in his grave, if he had been dead at the time...instead he wisely divorced himself from the types of morons of make this shit

  • @crieff405: Have you even seen the show!?

Regardless of how bad it looks, I won't pass judgment on the show until I see it. I'm still looking for it on the net, which is how I found this video. An interesting footnote in television history, a minor controversy arose after the airing of the pilot in 1990 because of a scene where Maizy tells Uncle Buck: "You suck", the first time this had happened in an American network TV series.

I know that seems like nothing now but, at the time it was epic!

  • @SpookeyR I second that.

  • @crieff405 John Candy must have thought this would be great, as he gave Kevin Meaney a box of wine with a note wishing him good luck.

  • Ridiculous indeed...
