By playing this video, I have seen my kid of 6 years old with the same behaviour (but a bit less exagerated). As a mum, it hurts ....above all when you know that his QI is above average. Actually ritalin has the opposite effect on ppl with ADHD, it makes them calm and able to focus i guess.

i take ritalin, and pesonaly, i dont like it, and it makes me kind of a dull person and makes me shake alot, and anxious, and i seem to want to do things in fast forwars, i personaly just want to flush it down the drain, i weight like what 84 lbs, and my eating habits are kind of weird but im not anerexic or anything, i eat, but dont seem to gain any weight, and im 5 foot 1 and im 13 just incase i forgot to mention that, idk if thats normal or if thats the ritalin

Right now, the charts say 1% of the worlds population is ADD/ADHD. if people would car for the children , and diagnose them , then you'd see that its more like 40%

The woman who is laughing in the video should realize this is not funny. This is a serious matter. If the boy is on ritalin, it is the same as being high on speed back in the 60's and 70's. The parents should be ashamed of themselves for not being vigilant and carefully looking out for what is best for their child. Dr. Feingold wrote much on the subject of how ADD and other mental disorders have been caused by a poor diet. If only mothers would feed their children good meals.

and I think and know that that drug is bad. my younger brother was on it for a while and acted out at all times and when we did not give it to him he was fine.

bullshit, energy vamps are people that annoy people for their own enjoyment, the annoyed one gets tired(because he was annoyed) and the vamp getting more energetic. its like you are tired or emotionless but when you listen to a song or see something cool(stimuli) you get energetic and hyped.

Frivilous recommendation of psychostimulants is no joke. (In case you're not aware, Ritalin is an amphetamine-based psychotropic drug.)
The kid is just a kid, leave him alone. Kids have very active developing minds and a lot of energy. Though if there are serious behavioural problems a diet change and exercise will probably remedy it to a large extent.

Im not saying i think he retarted, Autism should be considered a different language, or avenue of communication. autism DOES NOT MEAN INFERIOR!! I know several people who have (asd). keep in mind, there is a lot of evidence that Einstein had autism. its a good thing he was never given ritalin. it is important that our current society try to seek to understand those who communicate / behave different from the " norm " and stop trying to " cure" everything with drugs.

There is a high chnace that this kid could be the genious of the class. But the question is, will it be realised in todays dumbed-down, complient society? Succeeding at school has the following requirements 1) Excellent memory retention. 2) Excelent ability to carry out tasks. This has absolutley nothing to do with intellegence. No wonder the human race is going down the pan.

ritalin would have no affect on some hyperactive kids,,, BECAUSE CHILDREN LIKE THIS PROBABLY ARENT HYPERACTIVE, watch his fingers!!!! this child needs to be tested for autism. it is a common mistake to put children with ASD ( autism spectrum disorder ) on adhd drugs, it can seriusly hinder them mentally and make them seem even more hyperactive, sphycotic and sometimes violent.

The other kids are scared and shy. This kid just acts out however he feels. He seems like a free spirit who will eventually learn that acting this way isnt tolerated in society. I just dont see why some people are seen as "autistic"; like they have some disease that makes them inferior or sub-human to the rest. Many of these autistic kids can perform all sorts of tasks alot better than non-"autistic" kids.People are just looking for explanations that make them feel better about themselves.
