It's funny the way this American news show has presented this story. If you click on the Australian news channel 10 "Dog Phones 911" it will tell you that the dog buddy doesn't actually dial 911, the dog is trained to hold down a number for 3 seconds and that will automatically dial 911 and it will show up on the operators computer that "Buddy" has called and they send an ambulance to them.

@awhatzable There is a special device you can get that once the dog pushes a button 911 is automatically dialed and the Department has that device on file registered with the addy and info attached. That is how a dog can call 911 as obviously the way their paws are designed makes it impossible to dial each number.
