@houtsree Sure the odds of a win go up as the hopper gets full, but there is no way to know when that will happen. Get caught lurking and you will be out on your ass. Or 'round the back getting the crap kicked out of you. Casinos take money off idiots who think that THEY are more likely to win a game of chance than anyoe else. A monkey has the SAME chance of winning that you do. That is, the machine will pay out 70% of what is put in. Whether you take out more than you put in is pure luck.

Yep. I love playing slots, but I only take as much money as I can afford to lose because I know that's the likely outcome. I have had trips to the casino where I brought home more than I took, but many more times I come home with an empty pocket.

And like all things, there is a way to do it that does not attract the wrath and ire of the casino, and of course there is the callous way of doing it that usually brings the casino’s security quickly upon you.

I don't recall saying I "hate" to lose. I said I only take what I can afford to lose. There is a big difference. A cheaper solution, though, is to play online for free.

Honestly, though, I rarely play anymore. It was a phase I went through and grew out of. I still like it once in a blue moon, but it's not really that exciting to me any more.
