@av787 They Exploited a bug in the save game of the cartridge to inject their own code into the game.

If you read into it more they were able to read the main memory of the DSi. There jsut isnt much to see on the surface of what they have achieved.

@johnathon124 In the future there probably wont be a need to do something like that. They are only having to do this to get to the actual underlying system of the console, so they can work out how to execute their own code to begin with.

That's how it was done with the wii, and where Team Twiizers got their name from, they used tweezers to hard mod a wii.

thanks for pointing that out i didnt think of that. still i was saying, a cartridge was hardmodded just to get any type of access to DSi mode. which means there was no way to exploit the dsi without a weird method like this. so now an exploit is being used to find a much simpler exploit [ and ever since this video , not much new things have come so ive lost hope.

And i already knew how Team Twiizers got their name, i found that entertainting. its a nice way to get the ids keys

thats what makes this video so good. is that they now have a way to load homemade programs in dsi mode. if they want they can alter their program to do something else instead of just showing text. ds mode you only have access to ds stuff, so no camera, menu, sd slot nothing. but dsi enhanced that lets u be in dsi mode now you can explore the dsi features. still i tried to hack the dsi the way in the video adding my code to the makefile and getting the .sav you have like no space to work with D:

no. anything that is hacked or exploited usually would start with a "hello world". that is the easiest program/homebrew that when it loads up, the text u put will show (hello world, or in this case "team twiizers". all you have to do is find someway somehow to load up your program (hello world). now i couldnt find a way to load my program but t.twiizers did and the best part is that the game they used is a dsi enhanced game so it can take advantage of dsi features. like the menu or camera.

ever heard of ChickHEN? its a homebrew enabler for the psp and it uses photo selection of psp to hack it so u can enable homebrew.

maybe you can come up with a way to use the photo channel in dsi to do the same as ChickHEN
