Thank you for sharing this! I loved it from when I heard Lulu's version when that came and but never realised who wrote it and what it was about.. It is special to hear it performed by its creator.
She wrote this. She was not considered the original writer for years. Some guy....whom I dont recall at the moment...for certain reasons....was credited as the writer of this song. Bonnie said she loved the Grateful Dead's version but she said she was too shy to approach them and and tell them how much their version meant to her. I take it shes very sweet. I loved ..LOVED to sing this as a younger girl. One of my favorites. And the Dead introduced me to the originalSo cool to find this here. TY!
Great song, too bad Tim Rose had to go and list himself as the co-writer on this song 4 years after it was released, all due to a loophole in a copyright law! Tim then got partial royalties for a song he never wrote. What a rip-off he was!!

Play Jeff Beck's, Nazareth, the Allman's version. Then play this one. What a wonderful way to wake up in the morning.

As far as rock versions go, the Jeff Beck version is my favorite.

I saw Bonnie do this in 1963 at a concert in Princeton. How beautiful this still is!

What's so interesting about the fact she was 21 at the time of this perforance?
Dylan debuted in 1962 and he was the same age.

@MIKECNW: That's also pretty interesting, if you ask me.

A beautiful song about post-nuclear holocaust. Read "On the Beach" by Nevil Schute.
This is one of the best versions of Morning Dew from the woman who sang it best.
Thank you, andrijadragon, for posting this wonderful music.
