Check out her duet with Nick Cave doing the song "Where the Wild Roses Grow." Fabulous. I also like her very much in "Do That Thing." So many things! She reminds me a bit of Stevie Nicks in some of her videos (Firething for an example.. have you seen that one? Ohhh you must must must).
Oops! I mixed up my Australians! It's is Kylie Minogue who does that song (Roses) with Nick Cave). But I still think you should check out "Firething" and "YadiYadi" and "Do That Thing." She's amazing..
anita is not in the "where the wild roses grow" song. that's trivial "pocket venus" kylie minogue there, in that song, doing duet with cave. that only happened 'cos he was infatuated with minogue at that time. anita is a brilliant artist, i can't understand how could you confuse her with minogue? :D lol
and anita was first love & girlfriend of nick cave.
Sorry kissbajja, I made a mistake about Anita doing a duet with Nick Cave.. it was Kylie Minogue (It's still fantastic!). Just type in "Nick Cave Kylie Wild Roses" in the search bar and you'll find it quite easily. It's eerie and dark but it's amazing. I actually did a painting that was inspired by that song and it's a favorite of mine.
Be sure to check out her collaborations with Gudrun Gut (Berlin-based). It's vastly different from this but it's flipping good! She does at least three songs with Gudrun, perhaps more?

Anita Lane's voice and the attitude she gives off in her songs reminds me of PJ Harvey, don't you all agree?

In fact Anita Lane is Nick Cave's long time muse. Failed relationship & all that.

But they actually did a duet in 1995, the cover of the song I Love You Nor Do I, which can be found here in YouTube.
