I never watched this on regular TV. Instead what would happen is in primary school, we'd play in the playground at break times. However, if it was raining, everyone had to sit in the hall and watch Bangers and Mash on a TV that was out in the equipment cuboard for PE and we'd all sing the theme tune.

I can date Bangers and Mash back to the late 70's, I remember reading about their adventures long before this cartoon was broadcast, in a series of books at play-school. Classic stuff!
