The first two games had better stories than this "American J-Horror remake"-styled installment. Siren 2 also had deeper gameplay than this re-imagining of the first game, which is kind of sad.

this game is awsome but not a real survival horror game try amnesia the dark descent or penumbra both the first and the black plague they are real survival horror game especialy amnesia the dark descent you got no weapon to defence you have to hide in the dark so the creatures cant see you but at the same time you cant stand in the shadow to long and you cant stand in light when theres a monster the only thing you got is a journal and a oil lamp!

@117starpower it is considered a real survival horror game, the game encourages you to avoid shibito not confront them! there are missions that dont allow you to pick up a weapon at all and you have to sneak around shibito, sure siren bc is alot easier than the previous sirens but its still a survival horror, in siren you are just relieved that you are not dead in a world filled only with fear! infact the previous sirens were too hard making it less acessible to a wider audience!

LOL, this is why you should do some research first before blubbing out your mouth. SIREN and Silent Hill creator is the same person. After Silent Hill 1, the creator of Silent Hill left Konami to create SIREN. With him, he took some of his invention. In SIREN, you can see how some elements of Silent HIll would have evolved (instead of remaining the same as always) if he had stayed and work with Silent Hill.

like nibehlung said Team Silent worked on on Siren as well. So there are bound to be lots of similarities. Silent Hill may not be a dead siries, but team silent no longer works on them except maybe for the sounds director. Other then that Silent hill has been made by American companies and Konami is oke with it cause they are just the distributors not the makers of the game.

Make sure to buy the ASIAN VERSION of this game. it includes all 12 chapters on the one disc & is in english. Everywhere else in the world will have to download each chapter from the PSN which i honestly think is stupid so i got the Asian Version instead :)
