Damn you Peter Jackson and wasting our Halo Movie money on fucking movie whose name escapes me because no one actually gave a shit about it to remember it.
Ahh AceyBongos, the thing I am most happy about is that the Community cat managed to beat the Forum Fox over control of the Horsehead Nebula. The backside is 50 planets were destroyed in the process.
Yeah, most of them do think it's 100% original. Which in fact, Halo is very far from it...the drop pods as you mentioned, the covenant, spartans, the halo "ringworlds," the list goes on... You can't be mad at the young "dikwads" though. You can't expect people to research where an idea for something was came from when all they want to do is comment something like 'cool ad, drop pods were sick.' This is the internet after all and is not to be taken seriously ;-)
Man, that would take crazy ass writing (because they can't interview anyone for covenant battlefield conditions, etc.). But if they could pull it off....
That was cool. However if Hollywood is going to make a Halo movie I hove no faith in them to make it as cool as the commercials. They would ruin it with over the top CGI and popular actors like Beyonce or that guy from Twilight or something.
I can only hope and pray they would use the guy who directed these commercials and stick to the platform created here. If they were to make a movie that is.
I think it depends on the director. If Steven Spielberg directs it than no doubt it'll be what you predict, i.e mediocre actors and over the top CGI.. Transformers 2 anyone?
I think the best they could do is go with someone with less experience but has done something that was memorable and I feel Francis Lawrence (director of I am Legend) is a good choice.
But whomever directs it I hope they take the direction of this AD into consideration for what we the fans expect.
@JRDShamrock Wow what an ancient comment but I guess I'll reply. I Am Legend garnered nearly 600 million in the box office with just about 300 million of that from it's domestic gross. It was also a critical success. Even if you didn't the film it's clear others think differently.
@RobReignhell "it was also a critical success" did you not read my comment? Please don't reply to comments more then a year old. It makes you seem desperate.
What is with you people replying to me on this video exactly one year later?
You kind of people exaggerate the term "critical success".
I Am Legend was a mediocre film that will be forgotten in due time. I prefered Will Smith when he was the Fresh Prince instead of getting by in dull, uninspiring adaptations and B-movies.
@RobReignhell "fuck off"? Dear friend, you replied to me did you not? I'm glad that you’re able to give an assessment of a film without tripping over your own toes but try to remember that despite your distaste for the film and putting future predictions aside, at the time the film was a box-office and critical success. No matter how much you bitch and moan, in the end a fact is a fact.
Desperate for conflict of course, what else? Now go find a new hobby. I wont be part of your sick fetish.
@KraXoom Sick fetish? Wow, now Freud is really coming through. xD
You weren't supposed to take "fuck off" so literally. It was just meant as a derogatory stand first. Like "shut up". Obviously, I don't mean for you to shut up. But if you would like to, well, that's your decision, and if you need to make up some odd reference to 'sick fetishes' in order to do so, then be my guest, but leave me out of it! xP
@RobReignhell Oh gosh, this is why I don't enjoy posting comments. There's always someone out there desperate enough to reply, and not only reply but take time to send several. I guess it just shows how much you enjoy my company. Sadly I don't enjoy yours, it's dull and gives me gas.
I really don't care to preach to you about the success of a film. Statistics speak loudly, you don't need my assistance to do a Google search friend. Now go away Rob, this is a conversation that is not warranted.
@KraXoom Oh dear... statistics? You should see the box office for Brothers Strause films. By your logic, Skyline was a good film. As for the rest of your half-arsed post, I stand by my previous comments.
@KraXoom And if you insist on playing the desparate card, then let me point out, that it was you who sent this conversation down a path of conflict. I started an open discussion, with nothing offensive. As it happens, I like discussing films. Yet you had to try to take moral high ground, by questioning my ability to read, and of all things your comment's time stamp (because I'm sure youtube users give a fuck). PM all of the reasons why you think the film was a critical success if you want to.
I never said I didnt and i know its an ancient comment
but seriously the end of the movie just wasnt cool...atleast over here when i went to see it, it was a full room there where like 4 rooms playing that movie and all where full and i could hear it in the crowd that nobody really was like blown away from it...
Good thing Hollywood won't be getting any creative control over it. Bungie isn't rushing into making a movie, they won't sign with a studio that wants to change shit around.
OMG that's awesome. Just saw the link on your Twitter. Glad I clicked it. If they EVER make Halo movies I want the movies to be as cool as those commercials. lol

Very cool...hope the movie turns out like the short.
One quick note: you all realize the 'individual drop pods' is an idea taken directly from Robert A. Heinlein's 'Starship Troopers'....right?

Cuz most of you young dikwads have zero appreciation for the classics and think all this new video game crap is 100%original...that's "so".

@XxHydrilusxX Its a very creative and well thought out plot though. The amount of time put into halo is why people love it.
