  • Shut up Ross, you idiot.

  • perfect man tbh!

  • love Simon Pegg and his humor... bless him.

  • johnathan ross isn't as good now - thumbs up if u agree

  • I still think Paul McGillion would have made a better Scotty. A real Scottish accent, a bit chubby and not as comedic.

  • start raging at 0:50

  • was this recorded with a potato?

  • @ThePickledOnion One of the new Ground-buster 500-PX Potato Cameras.

  • GET ON WITH IT!

  • I was more than a little disappointed with simon pegg :/ he had the weakest character in the entire film as far as being remotely believable goes...

absolutely every other member of the main cast, I could imagine growing up into their Original Series version, but scotty....no. sorry to all those people who liked him, but I didn't. and its a first for me because I've loved him in nearly every other role he's done that I've seen.

  • @Rohan2300 what do you expect they brought him in just before the end of the movie and he barely had any screen time

  • @devildavin doesn't surprise me :P

real pity though..its the only role I've yet seen him in that I didn't like.

  • Simon Pegg was a good Scotty but Karl Urban did the best Mcoy ever

  • @sirjohnrambo Urban was AWESOME as McCoy. He and Zach Quinto impressed me the most!

  • @sirjohnrambo Karl urban is an impressive actor i hope to see him in alot more stuff. Watch RED with Bruce Willis and Morgan free man, Urban is also in it

  • @devildavin yeah RED is such an awesome movie. Urban is great in almost anything. He was in one of the Jason Bourne sequels too loved it , good actor no doubt

  • LOOLL!

  • James Doohan used a convincing Highland Brogue accent for Scotty whereas Pegg's pitiful version made him sound like a sassenach Lowlander. Bad casting.

  • lol - his face at the end XD XD XD <3

  • Pegg is no James Doohan, but he's great in the movie nonetheless. "Can I get a towel?"

  • 35 people dont have a sense of humor

  • #LOL funny man Simon and he did a fookin great job he did.

  • I love you Sir Simon Pegg, why did you cut your curly hair? Are you still conducting?

  • AMAZING he sounded just like he did in the movie

  • Search 'Star Trek and idea' to see Scotty's best idea ever.

  • will jonothan ross ever shut the fuck up, let someone else talk and STOP wanking off over the sound of his own flawed voice.

  • @BboyFiZiX so you missed the joke then??? him talking and interrupting was part of the joke mate

  • @TheLydianRocks so.....he makes that same joke in every interview he does then?

  • @BboyFiZiX why would he?? then it wouldn't be funny anymore, hes a talkshow host not a comedian, if he did the exact same routine with every person it would suck because it has no punchline and if it did it will still suck because its not a comedy DVD its a weekly show...geez..think before you type dude

  • @TheLydianRocks i think you missed my first point. it wasnt at the actual joke he made, but if you watch Jonathan Ross doa ny interview, he asks questions then interrupts the answers because he wants to make another joke. its just annoying. Parky never did that did he? he asked a question and sat back to listen. parky knew his viewers tuned in to see their favourite stars chat. not to see him and i think thats what Ross forgets. people tuned in to see simon pegg, not jonathan ross.

  • @BboyFiZiX I didnt miss the point, i think you failed to remember he isnt parky and its his show not simon peggs, so he isnt a clone of parkinso...pfft hes done alright hasn't he? i personally dont have a problem with the talkshow host talking, it usually ends being better than parkinson who always asked tame questions especially as he got older, dont get me wrong hes great, but if all you ever had was parky it would be shit, i like the way ross can be a bit more controversial

  • that was lame

  • "Scottie"....the real actor....James Doohan-

    WW2 Veteran D-Day Normandy.

German machinegunner shot him 4 times while he was crossing a minefield...blew his middle finger off his righthand and 4 bullets through his legs.....

  • oh, I just looked it up. I've never seen that commerical. I don't think they've ever played that commerical here otherwise I'd have heard about it. :D

  • @thePsychoticSatyr I'm so taking that word, that hilarious!

    "That's Supercalafreakinawesome!" :D

I'll totally give you credit for it, don't worry. lol.

  • Agreed....

But I would also help if they were paying me 6 digits to do it :-/

  • I come here to see Simon Pegg channelling Scotty, and all II get is Wossy and a cough... :)

  • Awesome, right? :D

  • I hope you understand that in Star Trek he is the smartest person.

I'd estimate his IQ level above 180 for that character.

He let alone brilliance is my favorite for reasons being quirky and unusual for problem solving and laughing at parts everyone threats over.

    Remarkable...,

    : )

  • I've been a fan ever since I saw Shaun of the Dead.

Yeah, I know, he's been around long before that movie came out but that was what made me first sit up and take notice.

And even though I did NOT like the new Star Trek movie I DID like Simon as the new Scotty.

  • hahahaha, he's so funny.

  • yep, shut up wossy

  • i thought he was an amazing scotty!! especially his innocent sacrcasm ^^

  • yes it will be all over the internet, dimwit

  • i love you simon pegg

  • My all time favorite comic relief next to C-3PO.

  • shut up rossy

  • I just saw the movie and I thought Simon Pegg was excellent.I was kinda dreading his accent (i am glaswegian) but I was really surprised about how good it was!

  • i think i read somewhere that his wife is scottish, and she helped him. but i loved him as scotty.

  • That's exactly what Scotty sounded like when he coughed, though. xD

  • Simon pegg is from Brockworth in Gloucester about 0.2miles from where i am from in the same City.

I am honoured to live so close to where this famous actor is from and hope he achieves much more in the future

<3 Simon pegg you've done Gloucester proud!!

  • Haha! Yes! Any famous west country-ers make me feel proud. I'm from Bristol which isnt too far from ur place. Support your local stars, folks: Justin Lee Collins, Mark Watson, John Cleese, The Wurzels lol!

  • Simon Pegg has been one of my favorite actors since Shaun of the Dead. As a huge trek fan I was beyond happy to hear he was cast. Not to mention he stole the show as Scotty.

  • I agree

  • haha i knew hw was in it but when i sat in the movies i was looking for him- i nearly screamed when i saw him lol

i love him- they couldn't have chosen a better actor to play the part =]

  • Aw I love Simon Pegg. He was brilliant as Scotty. The casting for the movie was overall pretty good, I think.

  • see, we scottish people pwn.

    GET TAE FUCK!!!

  • and that's him coughing

I love yOu simon pegg!! <3

  • went and saw movie/simon peg was the highlite of the movie for us he was brilliant / he really did a perfect job it was worth it just to see simon in the movie wished he was on screen more/ but he did have a lot of important scenes/ in the theatre we over heard other people say hey thats simon peg he had the audiance for sure/awsome simon peg.

  • Lol, I love simon pegg

  • No one ever told me Simon Pegg was playing Scotty in Star Trek. It wasn't until I was watching the movie that I realized, hey! That's Simon Pegg!

  • What a prick you are! FAIL!!

  • Can't wait to see the movie! Jonathan Ross is such a tosser tho....

  • He was being a jerk for comic effect. :P

  • epic, lol

  • Simon Pegg, great guy !

  • Hilarious.

  • I'd never heard of this guy before I saw Star Trek, and now I LOVE him!

  • If you like simon pegg, I would recomend seeing shaun of the dead.

  • oh yes , Shaun of the Dead is my favourite movie ever <3

  • id hit!

  • you too, are an idiot.

  • when did he do a scottish accent ?! he coughed :L

  • LOL He coughed in a Scottish accent...

  • He practised his accent with his Scottish wife...

  • you are so restarted I want to cry

  • I want to cry at your inability to use the English language. "Restarted"??????

  • DAMN YOU!

  • that other nobody is a somebody hes Jonathan Ross a lot of people no who he is & hes the host of the show

  • His accent is kind of...muddled, it jumps from an eastern scottish accent to glasgewgien to northen but it certainly grows on you

  • In Pegg's defense, original Scotty James Doohan was born in Vancouver. And Pegg was trying to do Doohan, not a true Scotsman.

  • Simon Pegg is awesome. :-D

  • hahaha, genius

  • I love Simon!!!!! he's soo funny ^-^ the movie looks cool

  • I really like how the host keeps building up the moment. For a long time I didn't really care that there was a Star Trek movie coming out, but now that I have seen the trailer I'm excited to see it.

  • I love Simon.

  • Who doesn't?! ^___^

  • I love Jonathan

  • Oh. My. God. Unclench your buttocks. I love Star Trek and have ever since I was very young. I am a purist. I love the original series the best. And I am SO looking forward to the movie. It looks fantastic. It will NOT change my love for the original series in any way. Maybe you should try looking at it with that mindset. You might actually enjoy the movie when it comes out.

  • Jonathan Ross cracks me up. It's like Elmer Fudd turned British.

  • this movie is going to be awsome there going to make it alot better then the boring sci fi tv shows. and im pretty sure G. Roddenberry whould have loved this movie and whould have done the same if the tech was around back then. this is 2009 if you dont like it dont go see it go watch the hannah montana movie

  • I disagree.

They're trying to revive the franchise with something that will appeal to many.

The most successful Trek film to date is First Contact, which is very much a Trek film. This is in the same vein as being a film that will appeal to many people.

  • If you think it looks like shit, then why the fuck are you here?! Piss off and don't come back if you don't like it! Shit, some people are just total dumbfucks

  • Millions of people, hundreds of tv channels that rake in the dough from TOS would disagree with you that TOS is boring. It's cerebral, let's just use that word mmm kay? No flashy explosions, no coked out ADD camera angles, it's a thoughtful look into a possible future.

  • The Peggster is too funny!!!!!!!

    Dd Lov

  • LOL

  • People need to let go of the old show and movies. This new film is a complete remake and retelling of the original story.

Any character could die.....but then they wouldn't be in the sequels. LOL!

  • You are a total idiot! This isn't a remake, it's telling the story of the characters before the original

  • tho its meant to b set in a alternate timeline

  • yeah i read it somewhere that it is. Thats probs the meaning behind why Nero say in the trailer 'James Kirk was a great man, but that was another life'. It would have to be set in an alternate timeline anyway to satisfy the hard core trekkies and explain why the technology in the film is so radically different etc. Though i don't really care bout that, just looks like a damn good movie to me

  • I think it was abrams himself actually though the character stories are the same he said

  • that romulan is from the future so he might have met or heard about kirk

  • How am I a faggot if I'm a fan of Halo? And how is that even funny?

  • Yeah how IS he a faggot? Halo Ftw!

    (Also new trek movie ^_^

  • lol

  • No! if scotty died in the movie his character would not be in the original series. This film is a prequel. Can`t wait!!.

  • Does Scotty die in the movie then?

  • omg i need to see the movie now :D

  • yaay! XD so unexpected

  • LMFAO

  • LOL

  • Wow that was spot on... uncanny!

  • Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Morgan Freeman, and Frank Black are the gods of the world!

  • Beam me up Scotty.

  • that line was never actually spoken during the series. They always said shit like "3 to beam up" but never beam me up scotty.

  • this is true..

  • Simon Pegg is a genius, I don't care who you are that is unbeatable wit.

  • Damn right!

  • F**K YEAH!

  • SIMON PEG FOR PRIMINISTER

  • Best scottish-sounding cough I've ever heard. What a superb actor.

  • Leave it to Simon to get your hopes up like that, let you down a little bit, but still make you laugh. XD

  • lol. this isn welllllll funny. but i don't really like startrek. i believe the bbc has better coverage of the inncodent. i'm just saying! gud video 5 stars

  • F**K YEAH!

  • I can see what David is trying to say! (thank you Liz) even if he is being a TWAT!

  • XD reading that tottaly transported me to the scene.
