I was more than a little disappointed with simon pegg :/ he had the weakest character in the entire film as far as being remotely believable goes...
absolutely every other member of the main cast, I could imagine growing up into their Original Series version, but scotty....no. sorry to all those people who liked him, but I didn't. and its a first for me because I've loved him in nearly every other role he's done that I've seen.
@sirjohnrambo Karl urban is an impressive actor i hope to see him in alot more stuff. Watch RED with Bruce Willis and Morgan free man, Urban is also in it
@devildavin yeah RED is such an awesome movie. Urban is great in almost anything. He was in one of the Jason Bourne sequels too loved it , good actor no doubt
James Doohan used a convincing Highland Brogue accent for Scotty whereas Pegg's pitiful version made him sound like a sassenach Lowlander. Bad casting.
@BboyFiZiX why would he?? then it wouldn't be funny anymore, hes a talkshow host not a comedian, if he did the exact same routine with every person it would suck because it has no punchline and if it did it will still suck because its not a comedy DVD its a weekly show...geez..think before you type dude
@TheLydianRocks i think you missed my first point. it wasnt at the actual joke he made, but if you watch Jonathan Ross doa ny interview, he asks questions then interrupts the answers because he wants to make another joke. its just annoying. Parky never did that did he? he asked a question and sat back to listen. parky knew his viewers tuned in to see their favourite stars chat. not to see him and i think thats what Ross forgets. people tuned in to see simon pegg, not jonathan ross.
@BboyFiZiX I didnt miss the point, i think you failed to remember he isnt parky and its his show not simon peggs, so he isnt a clone of parkinso...pfft hes done alright hasn't he? i personally dont have a problem with the talkshow host talking, it usually ends being better than parkinson who always asked tame questions especially as he got older, dont get me wrong hes great, but if all you ever had was parky it would be shit, i like the way ross can be a bit more controversial
German machinegunner shot him 4 times while he was crossing a minefield...blew his middle finger off his righthand and 4 bullets through his legs.....
oh, I just looked it up. I've never seen that commerical. I don't think they've ever played that commerical here otherwise I'd have heard about it. :D
I'm afraid that Simon Pegg as Scotty is embarrassing and painful to watch and listen to. The crowning glory to this awfulness is his lovely dyed hair.....
Speaking as a Scot - it is cringeworthy and ruined the film.

I really like how the host keeps building up the moment. For a long time I didn't really care that there was a Star Trek movie coming out, but now that I have seen the trailer I'm excited to see it.

I hope you understand that in Star Trek he is the smartest person.

Remarkable...,
