People are ijjjats, this is the sort of bass heavy garage that went on to influence the first generation of Dubstep producers who eventually brought about the elements (140 bpm, sub bass wobbles, simplified 2-step rhymth IE. 'halfstep) that make of Dubstep today. But that doesn't mean it's not garage. And it's sure as fuck not DnB. No need to even get into explaining that, in te same way this isn't Country Western or Singer Song-writer, it's not DnB lol
This ones a bad Dubstep beat! Pmsl To all the kids here, click some more of the links to your right>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> and educate yourself in the music that gave birth to and still dons Dubstep IMO,UK Garage!! Uploader, sweeeet tuneeeee and a personal fave, still polish my copy and wish it good night after every play on the 'Wheels of Steel'! :) Lol
does anyone know the track that features Goya - Getting off on you hook. It might be a Steve Gurley production as the sound was his style but could be wrong.
I hate when people are like OH YEAH SKRILLEX REAL DUBSTEP. No you clown. This is real dubstep. This is its roots for Christ's sake. I bet if any of them heard this they would be like NO THIS ISNT DUBSTEP, WHERE ARE THE WOBBLES?
@G3AK09 Well, as with most genres the definitions change as they develop, so even though most people would agree that these are the roots, they would also be hard pressed to classify this as strictly dubstep.
@007tron this is fairly old uk garage, how can you think a 2 step 138bpm classic garage remix is dnb? its 40bpm to slow for a start..... its garage you fucking idiots, not dnb or dubstep, i will explain it so a retard can understand, ukgarage is the dad of dubstep & dnb is the grandad, they have the same roots but garage is garage, dnb is dnb, it wont ever be dubstep as dnb & garage came 1st you twat`s. simple. you cant go round re classifying old ukg as dubstep, thats fucking disrespectful!!!
@stonedjunglist It's true, dnb is quicker and dubstep has way more modulated basslines. This is UK Garage. Kinda slow and repetitive, but the awesome shit we listen to at shows like EDC and TAO is all thanks to its roots like this stuff. I'm American, but God Bless The UK. Gave us dubstep, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles. I plan on moving there someday. Hope they are accepting of Americans with a passion for dubstep :) If not... bring it on you cunts!
@stonedjunglist EI-B , Steve Gurley, Oris Jay and Zed Bias <--- the 4 farthers of all Modern Day (bassline-DNB-Dubstep ectttt by definition this is one of the original Dubstep Tracks But oo our modern day ears its (garage) not try too start a argument.
@DjSprinks890 nah garage is more boom boom with tissshh tisshhhh plus u never get a singer on garage tunes , wat your hearing is drum bass , u see most drum bass clubs play this at start and finish of every set just to let everyone whats going on ,, see i no no coz i been to every rave since 1991
@007tron Lol I'm sorry mate but there is so much wrong with that statement,I don't know where to begin! This is Garage,UK Garage to be precise! DnB is about 20/30 BPM faster and typically has few vocals. What u heard at early raves was most lightly early House,Acid House and early Hardcore, some of which had a similar BPM to Garage.I have been a House & Garage DJ for about 8 years and have listened to all of them for as long as I can remember! Lol Wiki Garage and DnB for Documented fact
@DjSprinks890 I also play a bit of Jungle and Hardcore too,got quite a few vinyl! May I ask what country you are from? As it may be you are confused with the whole US/UK House and Garage thing,U know,I say Tomato,U say Tomato and all that Lol....I can also provide you with many examples of vocal Garage and Drum and Bass so you can see the difference or you can just seach them your self^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ :)
@G3AK09 wtf man some people dont have a clue but what kinda retarded comment is that. You should be ashamed of yourself for calling this dubstep and it aint just about wobbles fool
ive got over 3000 old school garage mp3s spread over 4 dvds for sale! trax from todd edwards, mj cole, tuff jam, 24 hour experience, tj cases, anthill mobb, chris mac, zed bias, booker t, dreem teem, groove chronicles and so on....
@megthemoo Cheers. I have a lot of the stuff you mentioned. Just thought this track had a cool sound to it. Not too crazy about dubstep. Don't mind some of it like Burial and such.
Just chilling with Mr. Steve Gurley at the mo. He has just read the reviews with a smile on his face. He is working on a few tracks at the moment. More tunes on the way. Ill put some previews on youtube in the next few weeks. There will be info an a new Steve Gurley website too.
the latest tune i hav of steve gurley is his remix of keep on, dat was about 2001-02 since den i aint heard nothing from him, he as also made a few tunes with jason kaye back in da day.
Right enough of this mental masturbation... I'm getting down!

I like it but this is either A) recorded hot, or B) pressed hot, it sounds way too distorted and loud.
Belter of a tune though.
