I think as far as the other issues go, if you look a little deeper into what he's saying you'll be suprised--especially on education-he's definitely for improving ALL schools, not just for blacks, and he's definitely not for bussing or forced desegregation.

So people without healthcare or people who are unhappy with their healthcare will have another option. It does not take away any freedom for people to choose their healthcare, Dr.s, Hospitals, Medicine etc.
Does Obama's plan control cost like medicaid and medicare do? If so then it limits what treatments and medications you can get, how much Doctors can charge, and lastly how often and for what you can be treated.
These price controls exist in every UHC program around the world and they will exist in this one. Also it will cost about 1 trillion dollars resulting in nearly a 50% tax rate like in the UK.

Good point, but he could have been supportive of his pastor and he decided to try to take middle road instead. He had three options:
1) Support everything Wright said and the Church does.
2) Reject everything Wright said and leave the church.
3) Try to find a middle road rejecting some of what right said yet remain loyal to the Church.
He chose the third option. Now as to his speech I did take a closer look at it in my LJ and it does indicate that he carries some of Wrights racism.
