Wow, Keaton's suit was pretty good for almost 1990. But I'd go with the Batman Begins one. The Dark Knight one is still pretty sweet, but I just like the overall more solid form of the Begins one leaving that classic Batman touch to it. I even liked Val Kilmer's too. Clooney's were a bit ridiculous; kinda cool in its own way. The only bad ones were really the 40's and 60's costume, but what do you expect from those? lol. Good video.

As most here agree it looks like Burton got it right the first time. Burton's 1989 movie has an unforgettable special touch that tells you everything that you need to know about The Batman. The cape sported an intimidating black trench coat look that just said, "this guy means serious business"!!! Micheal Keaton's mysterious attitude as Batman gave the costume an even bolder feeling.

My personal favorites are the ones like The Dark Knight series ones (Christian Bale), the second picture of Batman Forever, and the second picture of Batman and Robin, I like the ones that dont make the bat blatant (like the yellow circle with the bat in it) I like it just kind of lane over the costume
the suits were a matter of philosophy and interpretation for Burton, Schumacher and Nolan and how Batman would reflect the script and direction the movie was taking. Burton wanted an muscle look that came off imposing and changed it to the more armor looking suit in Batman Returns. Schumacher wanted the look of a Greek sculpted statue (nipples and define butt in the suit), as he put it. Nolan wanted a technological suit of armor rather than organic looks.
@smathematics actually they were a mixture of foam and rubber. the viscosity and thickness of the rubber and foam varied from Keaton to Bale's. Just like Keaton complained so did Bale which is because of the material, they all would work up a sweat.

the suits were a matter of philosophy and interpretation for Burton, Schumacher and Nolan and how Batman would reflect the script and direction the movie was taking. Burton wanted an muscle look that came off imposing and changed it to the more armor looking suit in Batman Returns. Schumacher wanted the look of a Greek sculpted statue (nipples and define butt in the suit), as he put it. Nolan wanted a technological suit of armor rather than organic looks.

The Dark Knight suit looked way too weird to me. I think Batman Begins is my favourite. The ice themed Batman & Robin has to be the worst.

@smathematics actually they were a mixture of foam and rubber. the viscosity and thickness of the rubber and foam varied from Keaton to Bale's. Just like Keaton complained so did Bale which is because of the material, they all would work up a sweat.

I don't really have a favorite. I like all the suits from the Burton and Nolan films.
By the way, "Batman Forever" came out in '95, not '94.

@00TIDIS00 yes it comes from a comic and no, lame is some kid batsuit. the dark knight batsuit looks like a battle armor and it intimidates, the proper suit for someone that fight crime alone. i like all the armor, but the best one is the one from the dark knight accept it, it is a movie about batman, it haves to be reallistick, not some lame batsuit that doesn't even looks for a superhero in real life.

@EwingAmaterasu yea your right. i love superman 2 and i would like it better if it were more realistic. so take away his lazer eyes, x-ray vision, and his godly powers. your watching the wrong kind of movies if you hate fantasy so much. you should just stick with documentaries. the whole point of super heroes is to escape reality.

@00TIDIS00 i am talking of the suit, not the powers. iron man: the armor is not like the one of the comics, but it is more reallistick. yes, batman and iron man may look incredible in the comics and cartoons, but in the "real" world with "real" actor, they need "realistic" suits. if you are going to make fantasy in the real world, at least try to do it realistic.

@00TIDIS00 like wolverine, X-men 1, 2 and 3 doesn't shows hugh jacman with the yellow wolverine suit, the movies shows wolverine with a black suit with a little of yellow, it is not the same as the comics, but it is very reallistick. this is not narnia or harry potter where you can do it as the books, this is dc and marvel mate. if you want the most comic suit of batman, then the best ones are from the 40's and 60's. in the comics is great, but in the real world... it haves to be reallistic.

Michael Keatons 1989 costume was awesome I also like how the cape comes from his shoulders and not his back. For the others I didn't like much really, Batman begins ears to short and the the suit becomes something different which probs is a good thing for the others whats with the nipples?
