  • if i had an XML script.. what would i code and compile it in? im so confued O.e plz help.

  • @hackerfromhell1 XML is very similar to html. It's just a bunch of tags that you use to organize information. Does that make sense?

  • @derekbanas kinda.. ik it is just basicly another ley out for text to be read by a comp/machine/and also humans.... but i was reading up on a bot that works like a scripting engine and it only understands XML coding... but i question how it could read tht and play certain things . . . so sorry if this comment makes no sense i am struggling to explain... Ty for replying anyway.

  • thanks u

  • your audio is terrible, but your tutorial is good.

  • @FukUrselfHard I fixed my audio in future videos.

  • @Thecashflowman My JQuery Video Tutorial Pt 7 shows you how to grab the xml data. JavaScript Video Tutorial Pt 6 covers regular expressions in JavaScript.

  • @Thecashflowman You can extract the info in the XML code using regular expressions in JavaScript. I have a JavaScript video tutorial if you don't know how to program in it

  • Have you considered using the software service Prezi? It may be a good way to teach XML.

  • Have you considered the software service Prezi? It may be a good way to teach XML.

  • on-xml . com is a free xml editor online with hosting for your xml documents so u can edit anywhere

  • First tutorial, no actual xml covered and I'm already hooked. two ritalin, three ritalin, good to go. Come at me, bro.

  • @viel009 Lol I'll be redoing this tutorial so that it is as good as my new tutorials. It's still a pretty good first try

  • @derekbanas Great to here it! I'm a few tutorials in, but will be sure to come back and check those out.

I challenge you to put them out faster than I see them -- maybe I can transition from the 11th old to the 12th new tutorial or maybe 7th to third if you upped the learning pace ^^

  • @viel009 Wait till you see my new tutorials. They are extremely fast. I actually teach JavaScript in one 30 minute video :)

  • Beautiful. XML has the power to change the way we structure our world view. Once we understand the power markup can offer we can use these ideas to power the future. XML is the lingua franca of interchange.

  • @mcshadypies Most people have just scratched the surface of what can be done on the internet. It is a wonderful time to be alive. Information is free and I agree with you that XML is a piece of that power. I hope to redo this tutorial, but I want to first figure out how to teach XML in a great way. Thanks for the nice comment :)

  • Thanks Very much good tutorial, Ill have a interview about XML in two days and I would like to be prepare. What you recommend me?. I will appreciate it

  • @rponcec The best thing you can do is practice creating xml data sets. You may also need to know how to grab and manipulate that data? My JQuery Video Tutorial Pt 7 shows you how to grab that info dynamically, but you'll have to understand php and javascript to do that. I made tutorials on those languages as well. I hope they help

  • I really, really appreciate folks of good will like yourself who put up these tutorials for others. You rock. Thanks.

  • @ridicter Thanks a bunch :) This is just the beginning. I'll eventually get into all areas of study. I was just obsessed with teaching these first few subjects first. I think communication is most important and through programming I see a way for people to gather information more efficiently. Much more is in the planning

  • You can create tags in CSS.

  • where can i buy this book?

  • @alisus17 You can download the whole thing on my website. I wrote it from my brain, but it is completely free. Hope it helps. I'll be making un updated version soon

  • @nando4204life Thanks a bunch. I have almost 250 videos. Most are on programming. I'll cover soap very soon.

  • very professional & informative

  • @greeppl Glad you liked it. Thanks for the nice comment :)

  • I am looking forward to seeing your new tutorial. Thanks for the reply. Please keep up the good work.

  • @AJSwisgirl Thanks a bunch :) I'll cover XML and SOAP again after I'm done with my Web Application Security Tutorial.

  • @derekbanas yw :-))

  • You saying if you have no knowledge on HTML, you cannot learn XML, am I right?

Why do you compare the two? I know XML stores the data, has no tags etc, but I think people can learn one another without the knowledge?

  • @AJSwisgirl It helps to understand HTML before you would move on to XML because HTML is so simple and is just a series of tags like XML. The difference is with XML you can define your own tags and XML is used to store more complex data among other things. I'm working on a better version of this tutorial that contains more examples and goes into more complex subjects like SOAP.

  • Please remove background music, it is very annoying.

  • @monirittube Sorry about that. I think it's more noticable because I recorded this while my baby was sleeping in the next room. That's why I'm whispering. I will re-record when I get a chance.
