im trying to help my buddy out so far he has msd wires,bbk cai and mac long tube headers i just don't know if he should go with a cated x pipe or h pipe and flowmaster mufflers somebody help me out

I have stock header and cats. But I would good with a h pipe for the best for sound. But if you want power, get the x pipe. Keep your cats or get high flow for a deeper sound.

yes get x pipe, more power and sounds good and get high flow cats but dont take them off it would sound scattered

Sounds nice. I'm trying to figure out if I should go with a whole exhaust system or just a 40 series muffler. How much was the whole thing including mechanic, or did you put it on yourself? by the way, is that in Torrance, CA?

I had it installed about 5 years ago. It costed 450 at the time. Yeah its Torrance =P you would need to get the whole system. But if I were to do it all over again, I would buy a exhaust all ready made for the v6.

Thank god it's not a Honda with those whiney sounds and fart pipes. Nothing wrong with a beefed up V6, a V6 is just as deadly as any Mustang with a V8, it's all about how you go about creating the monster.

Don't even trip over what these "V8-babies" like Link. When you did the mini fly-by it didn't sound all that bad for a V6 with just Flows. I'm sure you have alot more in mind for your Mustang. Going through the proper channels and getting a little dirt on your elbows, it'll put the hurt on those 4.6/5.0 liter GT's out there.

yeah but on a v6 flowmasters are deeper, ive watched about 14 million v6 exhaust clips before i got mine and loudness is second to tone unless you have a v8

to be honest w/ long tube headers and an OR x pipe the mac has unbeleaveable tone. im in the process of rebuilding my v6 with a 4.2 cam and lifter set in it and i will post a clip asap. but hey itw ould be no fun if they all sounded the same lol

Mac isnt too bad, magnaflow sucks, lol, and having that 4.2 cam will give you a better "blubber" sound. But ive always been a Flowmaster Guy, lol.
