this song explains perfectly the feeling in the game at this point. The hero standing strong against the storm of evil charging against him. One weak man (kid?) setting one foot in front of the other one, again and again to face the evil that threatens the land.

Thats why the drum is weak, and never changing pace while its nearly drowned in the wind and other music. It the represents link's never faulting courage and honour that helps him to keep going.

my brother and I debate as to whether this Dark Mountain theme was the best or the one where Link first enters as a bunny. I vote this one my brother voted otherwise.I always wondered why. That drum beat was like a march to a decisive battle. It was like when I heard that song I KNEW I was close to the end.The other one was to "whimsical" I need to force my brother hear this one again!!

I think 'Dark Mountain Forest' is a great song. That's when you either enter Skull Woods or even warp to the Dark World on death mountain. There are three warp tiles on death mountain you can warp to the Dark World to use the mirror to return to the Light World as you reach the Tower of Hera, go inside those caves and reach on top of the Turtle Rock.
