This PC is actual even today because it can launch Windows 7 because of 1Gb RAM and comparatively fast CPU.

Whilst Windows 98 is nice for some nostalgia; you can definitly do modern computing on this device. Windows 98 is highly unstable, unsupported and very limited OS for today's means. You could easily install any modern Linux distribution on this pc; probably using a lightweight WM such as FVWM2, Fluxbox IceWM or even XFCE for DE adepts. You'll actually find Win95/98 programs running more stable through wine than natively.

@the747videoer I didn't have all the drivers for old Sounblaster and that's why I didn't have any system sounds. But a few months ago I bought a new SB, so everything works perfectly now :)

@kiltsonfire164 Totally agree man. Got a PC with Windows 95, and only 48 MB of RAM, and only 1 GB of hard drive space. And it is still fast. By the way, it is a Compaq Presario 2200 desktop from 1997. Still fast.

@kiltsonfire164 I agree with you. I have a Windows 98 SE computer with 384 MB of RAM and a 500MHZ processor and it booted up and shutdown faster than a Windows 7 Home Premium computer with 4GB of RAM and a 2.7GHZ processor.

@kiltsonfire164 ..and crash even faster (the OS). What's a windows 98 PC anyway? A pc made in 1999 or 2000 is a windows 98 pc for you, I assume. But they can run windows XP fairly well. And they were contemporary to Windows 2000, which is a fairly (but not completely) outdatedOS now, but not as much as 98, and far more stable. Windows 98 is just for quick fun on virtual machines, or nostagia with old PCs, but not for productive use by any means. Productive use of old pcs-> light linux distros.
