By the way, how do royalties from iTunes work?

I'm new to iTunes, so I'm not completely sure. I think they take about 30% off the top. They pay the distributor the rest, and then the distributor takes another 9% for themselves. In theory, that means I should get about 60% of whatever you pay, but I'll be surprised if it really is that much. In any case, it's way better than if there was a big record company in the food chain.

Yes. The original date for the party was June 27th, but I think that's been pushed back to July 2nd. Ian hasn't confirmed the date yet. If we can't do it by then, it'll have to wait until after Summer NAMM.

Unfortunately, you won't find it in your local record store. If you're looking for a physical copy of the CD, there are really only going to be two places to buy it - amazon . com or weaseltrap . com.

The official release date is July 1, 2009. but Amazon is accepting pre-orders now.

If you wanted to download a copy, mp3s will be available at iTunes and lots of other sites. iTunes may be slow to post it, since they handle so many new releases, but I'm hoping it won't be long.

256kbps. It sounds really clean and crisp. I've already listened to the whole CD twice while reading and I love it! And that reminds me, I'm quite ashamed of myself for spelling write "Wright" a couple hours ago haha. Being a Literature major doesn't mean I'm immune to being sleepy...

My music does that to people. I'd avoid operating heavy machinery for a while, just to be safe.

Good news about the bit rate. I provided the distributor with full 24-bit 44.1KHz masters, so it ought to sound good.

I wish there was, but our official CD release party isn't until June 27th and that's going to be cutting it close for delivery of the CDs. Amazon and itunes won't have them until then either.
