DelalovesDarlina, Obama would probably still have been elected if he was white because of his eloquent speaking. But the media wouldn't have shielded him and crowned him for nominee and president as you mentioned if he was white. But you could argue that if not for the the media shielding due to his race the Democrats would've given Clinton Florida and Michigan like they should've and hence given her a much better shot at the nomination.

Obama is an excellent speaker, that is what you need as a politician to succeed. If he were to be white, I'd think he'd have an easier time. I think him being black is actually more of a testament to how much of a skilled politician he is.

Obama isn't as great a speaker as you people make him out to be. He has throughout the campaign been given the easiest questions and when given a legit question like many of the other candidates he just talks in circles. As far as 90% of what he says is empty rhetoric, most of it evidently lies. Do you think Obama would be pres if he weren't rich? Or if the media didn't give him the election on a silver platter.
