  • a friend of mine introduced me to this...i thought it was some new up and coming artist until i looked him up. i was amazed to find that my pop was a huge nick drake fan when he put out those albums!

  • no one else thinking of pink floyd? ;)

  • Allez écouter, par curiosité, les BAPTIST GENERALS... ce n'est pas la même chose, certes mais leur musique est également habitée...

  • The more i read about him the sadder i get that people could not see the great talent he had.

  • So cool....I'm related to him......

  • commercial should thank nick drake.

  • Let's all be thankful that the commercial made people realize how great Nick was

  • Genious!

  • Mollyty, lovely job!!! Thanks!

  • @conniealoha1 haha sorry but i didnt make the video

  • There is something about this song maybe a distant memory, melancholic, beautiful, innocent and pure in a place were we have been and wish to be again. Simply powerful

  • IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOON....U

  • I didn't know about Nick Drake till my ex Chris turned me on to him, glad he did, this man brings me to a different place, Nick that is.

  • It's a complete cliché, but Nick Drake changed my life pretty much. After listening to his records, I had a completely different grasp on life, knowing his story and all. He was hardly successful, but nowadays is regarded as a genius. it's got a certain Van Gough quality to it. It taught me that you may never know how good you are in this lifetime, but what others say about you right now will not always be true. RIP Nick.

  • @willscomix Respected or not in life, some individuals do not realise their true potential until it is beyond grasp.

  • Nick Drake makes me hate the world a little less.

  • Nick Drakes IS JUST AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG , es increíble : )))))))))))))))))))))))))

  • This guy remembers me so much of Donovan..they were contemporary. Amazing stuff

  • beautiful

  • 2 people have no heart

  • "In 2000, Volkswagen featured the title track from Pink Moon in a television advertisement, and within a month Drake had sold more records than he had in the previous 30 years". Winki

Amazing. That's how I discovered this beautiful song.

  • @NewsDenizen it's truly incredible. shows how timeless his music is. this song was recorded in 1971, but it sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday. that's when you know you've discovered a true master

  • @NewsDenizen That's corporate power eh?

  • @digithree exposure never hurt anyone. It would be the same if it were featured in the soundtrack of a popular film. People responded to the song, it's not out of love for volkswagon.

  • @moonlily1 Ah yea, true but my statement stands. Just highlighting the annoying nature of the power of money and business in the arts world

  • @NewsDenizen yep me too, i was 12 in a movie theatre when the commercial played, i struck me so hard i went home and for months after scoured napster for any song of him i could find, i was in LOVE with nick drake for a good few years of my early life, my older was such a jerk when i asked who the guy was playing the song, he just scoffed at me, disgusted with me for liking him and was like "ugh.. nick drake.." I think he was just embarrased by the commerical's depiction of tennagers or whatever

  • @dvzqz87 he was an idiot, but nick drake is awesome

  • @NewsDenizen Me too :)

  • @NewsDenizen Nick Drake was just featured today on Wiki. Let January 19, his birthday, be his holiday.

  • @Pharenheitz Happy birthday

  • @NewsDenizen that just pisses me off

  • Comment removed

  • @NewsDenizen I feel the inner troll coming out.

No, but really. LEARN TO MUSIC STUPID NEWB

  • @NewsDenizen WITHOUT TV U HAZ NOTHING!

STUPID NUB GO LISTEN NIKKI MINAJ MUSIK

  • @NewsDenizen

That's terrible, has no one discovered him because he was a musical genius?

  • So raw.

  • was nick drake self taught

  • @PuffSmelly Yes. He never had lessons but practiced all the time. He used various alternate tunings on his guitar, and I'm not a guitar player, but from what players have told me, he liked cluster chords.

  • Classic

  • i love this song, is the best

  • RIP Nick Drake and his fucking good music i just recently found you thanks to my mom you were a beautiful person and i hope were ever you are you would be the best possible

  • Great song, great beauty, but you feel the underlying melancholy.

  • Big Nick..

  • His best album by far.

  • Just hits right in the heart, till your tears are beating too!

  • Fucking Drugs. =/

  • @TeeTownSounds No drugs. He had a disease, Recurrent Major Depression and had to take potent antidepressants, full of secondary effects. Tryciclic antidepressants. His death was accidental. A tragedy. But he was no junkie.

  • @TeeTownSounds

so... "potent antidepressants' don't qualify as drugs?

  • @TeeTownSounds Not recreational drugs.

  • Thanks for the up!

    Love it

  • this guy is the best in Music.

  • Beautiful song. RIP Nick Drake.
