  • And don't lock out your elbows at the top!

  • Every time i do shoulders presses by shoulders hurt. And when it comes to my bench pressing day, i press less due to the pain om my shoulders. I really hate shoulder presses. Any suggestions?

  • arnold would rip your fat head off faggot:)wtf arnolds lmfao faggot:)

  • Is that guy a midget? Whatever, good job.

  • How funny would it be if some guy just ran up and came on his face mid lift?

  • @AaronCarterRocks faggot

  • His legs are so not in proportion with his upper body. Clear indicator of a future injury.

  • @Nightmaresins yeah may suffer from arthritis.

  • Those chicken legs look tasty!!

  • Chicken legs!!

  • Chicken legs!!

  • his face looks like weeman HAHA

  • Great form dude, the only guy on here that is doing it right. and your lifting more than them. Good job!

  • thats not a proper arnold press

  • no that's just what it looks like with really heavy weights...

  • Guess there are as many versions of how to do a "correct" arnold as there are of how to do a "correct" push up ^^

  • check out my video shoulder press 70 pounds in each hand for reps and dumbbell bench 90 pounds in each hand for 32 reps less then 5 mins

  • Ive seen about 4 different ways of doing this..and all called the arnold press lol.

  • wtf shitty form

  • Pretty good form actually. That is an Arnold Press. He could have rotated them a little further at the bottom, but overall that's how they should be done.

  • That is totally an Arnold Press. Good job man!

  • i thought arnold press was doing the normal press then bringing it in front to squeeze ur chest...oh wellz

  • it is lol

  • thats what i thought it was lol

  • he started the lift with a neutral grip you'er suppossed to start with your palms facing you

  • dont arch your back dude, thats not an arnold press

  • nice form

  • That would be impressive if he were actually doing an Arnold Press. He is doing a regular shoulder press and simply twisting his wrists in the process. An Arnold press is when you bring the dumbells all the down and in front of your body and twist them so the outsides of the dumbell touch eachother under your chin. Try doing that....It makes a HUGE difference. 100lb dumbell presses are not impressive....100lb arnold presses are!

  • chyea. imagine having to do that 100 pounds and keeping it in front of you. i can bet ronney coleman has a tough time doing that, or even more i bet, but still. Not doable by mannyyyy people. that takes some serious fuckin muscles.

  • LOLL i like that ''That would be impressive if he were actually doing an Arnold Press''.

  • right on. "thrill as a really heavy person does a mediocre lift for their weight/experience with terrible form"

  • exacttttlyyyy dude i do them at the gym, ppl look at me like im retarded. haha. ive been doing arnold presses since highschool days.

  • haha

amateurs probably wouldn't know about it, which is what you get ALOT of at the gym... I LOVE the Arnold Press so much b/c it focuses so much on your front delts which are incredibly hard to work unless you do front raises(which i hate) and at the same time raises strength b/c of the way you have to lift them

  • "when you bring the dumbells all the down and in front of your body and twist them so the outsides of the dumbell touch eachother under your chin"

this is larry scott press man!

  • @dom89031

no professional, but i'd think it'd be hard for him to twist them because his chest is too big lol.

  • @dom89031 100 lbs presses aren't impressive? lol. To most people they are.

  • no shit where thes idiots come up with calling them arnold presses fuckin piss faces:)

  • wow dude

    way to go man!

  • does that make the shoulder wider?

  • hmm.. it would certainly put mass on your shoulders and you would get a little width through that - however i think pull ups or hanging of a bar would widen them

  • DB Lat. Raises build your outer delts (shoulder width), Arnold Press builds your front delts.

  • it's ok but try to slow down a bit and try to do it better somehow..I don't know but just try to do it better ok? thankx.....

  • hands down your a strong guy, id watch to not lock your elbows bro

  • definitley not an arnold press....

  • It is if youre on a bulk you jealous fuck! You can't gain muscle without gaining fat unless youre on steroids. You gain and get stronger, then you cut fat for a while. shut the fuck up!

  • @MerkabaStar finally someone who knows what the fuck they're talking about.

  • @MerkabaStar

You don't need to get fat to build muscle.

  • @HowAboutSomeTruth1 well, said

  • @MerkabaStar gaining fat is a side effect of bulking, but in the end the more fat you gain during a bulk the longer you're going to have to cut and the more muscle you will lose during a cut as well.

Too many people bulk incorrectly and get fat with this mentality. The goal should be to gain as little fat as you can while bulking so you don't have to cut as much.

  • @beamoflaser You're still going to gain fat unless you're on steroids. I didn't say you're gonna gain a ton of fat or that you should. The bottom line is you need to run a surplus and should be counting your intakes to adjust

  • @MerkabaStar That's not true. You can gain muscle without gaining fat. I'm a sports nutritionist.

  • @ChrisNogiecFitness Well unless you're a newb or havent worked out in a while you're not going to gain a sizeable amount of muscle without gaining fat. Muscle gain is optimal in a caloric rich envrionment. Is there a certification for Sports Nutrionist? People who aren't playing around will eat to maximize their muscle gain. If you want to minimize it then try to do it without gaining some fat. And how are you measuring the muscle gain? Trainer and Consultant of 15 years here.

  • @MerkabaStar Yes, there is a certification: CISSN, it's the top sports nutritionist certification on par with the CSCS (both of which I have). I'm also a doctoral candidate where my research is in muscle metabolism.

One can effectively gain muscle wihout gaining fat by apropriately adjusting workout and nutrition. It's not neccessary to cycle gain/cut, if someone's goal is to gain muscle wihout fat-even bodybuilders. The necessary fat gain is a myth and can be avoided.

  • @ChrisNogiecFitness Ok just watched your videos and there's really no need for me to talk anymore. Ugh

  • @MerkabaStar sry but ur wrong

  • @MerkabaStar Wroooooong.

  • thats just a weird looking shoulder press. thats not an arnold press

  • jesus man.. his arms are trembling just as he lifts the weight to get into position. good stuff man, musta got a great pump :)

  • wats witht he form wats wrong with form dickheads talk like u knts noe it wtf!!!!!!!!!

  • he looks like a midget ? if he is gd on him , ur short ass can live more weight than halve of the big people ino

  • try to not lock your arms out brother!

other than that wow! ur one strong dude

keep up the great work bro!

  • its ok form, but he is doing it too fast with that weight, he is also locking his arms sometimes, but bravo to you

  • you know its heavy when you need your leg to get started

    impressive

  • ohh my god!!! man you are strong!!! how long you have training?

  • holy shit...

  • nice but u need to work on those calves....

  • wow, gorgeous form on that weight.

  • hahaha. wooow. damn you, make it look like CAKE!

  • nice, good form considering the weight

  • WOW!!!

I agree his form is not bad at all.

    Keep it up!

  • it's all about form and control. it's not how much you lift

  • Tehn i will take some 2 kilo's dumbells and make 1000 reps...

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • it wus good form and control. plus goodweight So SHUT UP!

  • heavy

  • Most impressive can't see what they mean you dont lift right. Looks really nice. Full range of motion and nothing that will harm your shoulders. Keep it up! I dunno why so many are such complainers/perfectionists at youtube..

  • He just needs more twist

  • Still its nothing wrong with what hes doing. I think it will stress more on his rotar cuff if he goes further down and twist more.

  • You're actually right, I'm just not used to that much weight with an arnie press.. And believe me, I am quite impressed :P

  • thats crazy man cause arnolds are a kinna hard dumbbell workout with altota weight.

  • 100's?! holy shit. that's really impressive.

  • all wrong, using to much weight and as a result his form is wrong.

  • You guys can sit here and talk shit, yet you are probably both complete pussies who cant lift so you read up to sound like you know what your talking about. Post videos of yourself lifting if you can talk shit about this dood

  • I think your technique is wrong as your arms are not to lock out at the top and also inside of dumbell is to be lower than outside. Just constructive critcicism if you want it.

  • Both is correct:

    a) Arnold himself was kinda famous for loading one side of a dumbell heavier than the other to train his holding strength. Here the grip does the same.

    b) Not locking out means less time to rest in the top position, this increases the intensity while putting less strain on the joints.
