@gonow4thebutter it's just for looks bro, only on GBB(gas blowbacks) would you want to and thats because it'd charge the next round, with an AEG it immediately puts it into the barrel, also if you pull back the charging handle, i'm pretty sure it reveal the hop-up unit so you can change the curvature of the bb hope this helped

Making it work without a BB in it only makes it a little bit worse. Don't do it, just like you don't fire thousands of BBs into your room when you are bored.

In fact, to properly seat the engine on a AEG you have to dry fire it.
