After watching this review. Now that I have a PS3 PSP and DS LITE I miss my old GBA:SP :( umma go buy one at GameStop. Sell old games I don't like from my ps3 games and buy classic GBA games starting with Super Mario Bros.

I got a game boy advance (not sp) because a friend gave it to me for free. I really like the games for it. I think the problem with DS games is that they take wii games and try to turn them into DS games, which end up not that great.

I didn't even know there was an earlier dimmer version, I guess I lucked out :o I love my silver SP, it still has that sturdy 'bunker buster' feel the earlier Gameboy had, at least compared to my DS. Isn't to say my DS isn't sturdy for what it is, it's just not as sturdy as old Gameboys or Nokia phones.

Back when it was released I was really exited about the backlit screen because before that, the only way to play at night, without a bright light on, was that weird clip-on magnifying glass with built in lights which was pretty heavy and hard to get off the damn GBC ^^

yes the micro did come last, but it did not take gb games, or link cabels, or e readers, or gb cameras, or gbc games, it only played gba games, thats IT, no one likes to talk about them.

i got my gba sp a while ago, like when it first came out. now, its all scratched up, the sound quality screws up sometimes, and he light to show whether its charged or not doesnt work. (i may have just charged it overnight and it might still show red) but i still love it to death! i would never think of getting rid of this thing :)

I'm going to be honest, I bought the GBA in 2001, and got the 2003 sidelit SP as a gift in 2003. I actually bought this solely because of the screen being backlit. I just keep my GBA and older SP as spares should it break or something, and I bought an extra 2001 GBA used before GameStop sold them out. Just as a spare, I love this handheld!

the flippable screens are why I kinda hate the way sony designs their portables. their screens aren't protected and Sony doesn't even give you a free already installed screen protector(they dont include it cause companies pay them so that they can make a money on screen protectors). Game boy advanced SP is definitely the definitive game boy handheld.
