Kate was an educated woman, and she herself came forward while she was very angry at him. So why does this have her in a saloon, and who is asking the questions? Why would he think she knew anything? No one suspected Doc Holiday before he accusation, or even after. Its very unlikely he even was involved. It sounds totally unlike what he usually did. He obviously far too sick to exert himself to that degree at that point. Why put up stuff thats not true?
