I've seen Roger Waters five times in concert. and I love him dearly. However, this last time, it was a purely political show - anti US propoganda spray painted on the pig, and this speech ahead of "Leaving Beiruit." I bootlegged the entire show on video and am glad to have the footage but I really wish rock stars would stop thinking that we look to them for political views. It took a lot out of the show. My opinion only. Aside from that, it was an incredible show.
I agree.....seeing him live was very nearly a religious, life changing experience. I saw him in Tampa as well...from the 4th row. I always felt the people who were so emotionally moved by certain performers were some how " a little off"....but I am now one of them. I was at this show. Sitting dead center of the floor. The explosion and fireball was THE most significant production event and most mind-boggling subbass I have ever experienced. Awesome sound, amazing visuals and flawless performances. Thanks for bringing back the memory!

Actually Comfortably Numb is essentially two songs welded together. The Lyrics are by Roger as is the music for the verses, the chords sequence for the chorus was written by Gilmour when he was making his first solo album.

I'm surprised how mild mannered the crowd is, I've been to every Roger concert in the Boston, Ma. area (5 since 1999), and when he performed Perfect Sense the place went into a frenzy.

I've seen Roger Waters five times in concert. and I love him dearly. However, this last time, it was a purely political show - anti US propoganda spray painted on the pig, and this speech ahead of "Leaving Beiruit." I bootlegged the entire show on video and am glad to have the footage but I really wish rock stars would stop thinking that we look to them for political views. It took a lot out of the show. My opinion only. Aside from that, it was an incredible show.

I agree.....seeing him live was very nearly a religious, life changing experience. I saw him in Tampa as well...from the 4th row. I always felt the people who were so emotionally moved by certain performers were some how " a little off"....but I am now one of them. Don't want to sound like a p****, but I was literally brought to tears watching him. I'm a 42 y/o guy, and I've seen Floyd twice, but this is the best, bar none

Roger Waters is a beast! It's too bad nobody takes his solo career as seriously as his Pink Floyd days. At the concert, I was the only one who knew this song, and most of the people around me where getting up to take a piss or get another beer. Rock on Roger!

I always watch concerts all the way through. I saw people getting beer during Have a Cigar and even a few leaving before the end of Comfortably Numb! What a shame.

I got crazy when I heard this live, I wish he could have played all 'amused to death' live ! .. .I waited for 10 hours to be in the fence and I made it, and roger saw who else is singing all my songs ... I was crazy and he saw me ... this is no kidding... only for big fans who understand this amazing feeling

(1) the monkey= the monkey from the album concept who watches tv
(2) the stones/broken bone = 2001 reference
(3) memory's a stranger/history is for fools = reference to Israels defence policy

I was at this show. Sitting dead center of the floor. The explosion and fireball was THE most significant production event and most mind-boggling subbass I have ever experienced. Awesome sound, amazing visuals and flawless performances. Thanks for bringing back the memory!

Actually Comfortably Numb is essentially two songs welded together. The Lyrics are by Roger as is the music for the verses, the chords sequence for the chorus was written by Gilmour when he was making his first solo album.

I'm surprised how mild mannered the crowd is, I've been to every Roger concert in the Boston, Ma. area (5 since 1999), and when he performed Perfect Sense the place went into a frenzy.

Funny, I just posted a comment about this elsewhere. And I think RW is much affected by the crowd, he is a lot more into the song when ppl scream and sing along with him... Check videos of his concerts in latin america and you'll see (Rio, São Paulo, Argentina, Bogota, Santiago...). Cheers!

i totally agree. i've only been to one concert, and my boyfriend and i had really good seats. just his expressions make you really realize how much he appreciates his fans. it's a sensational feeling.

The segue of the tv interview of the southafrican woman about her failed suicide attempt on "Three Wishes" is the most moving part IMHO.Roger Waters leaves no room for doubting his lyrical genuise and music sense.

Roger way of singing has much more soul than any song sung by any other floyd member. At least on his own songs which are almost every PF song since 1973

Waters solo work is way better than any albu of PF without him. DSOTM was born from the brain of RW. The little sucess of Roger solo albums is because he isn't a commercial and video clip guy. His music talks for itself. Waters is pink floyd.

YOu are 100% correct! Roger Waters is Pink Floyd. He is the Rock Opera writer. Pink Floyd without him only writes songs of questionable value to his solo work. He is musical genious. He wrote the entire album The Wall on an air plane while the rest of the band was sleeping.
