  • dancing sound of memory..

  • Beautiful!! This is the best!

  • Kissin... Kissing my hearth..

  • so rude. why does look at his watch?

    FAIL!

    :)

  • @MrSean622 To be fair...this concert did last a very long time. Kissin came back for many, many encores.

  • in the 2 min 40 sec mark there is a guy looking at his watch in the bottom left corner!!!!! :)

  • man, im so screwed for my test... :(

i hav to play this song

  • My mom is forcing to watch this because she wants me to be like him but I don't like this song! :'(

  • @MrSean622 If you do not like this song (especially Kissin's interpretation of it) you should consider quit playing the piano. And how old are you????

  • @Elsenrail29

this is the only song I dont like

  • @Elsenrail29 a matter of taste... but this piece perfectly reflects Chopin's intimate romanticism his Gypsy-like slavonic sense of lyrism. Still.... How old are you?

  • My mom is forcing to watch this because she wants me to be like him :'(

  • only Kissin would give an entire concert of encores.... Absolutely fabulous playing, though, so incredibly soulful!

  • he has a unique style, just for Chopin Mazurkas

  • This is decent, but some parts need to be more dramatic. You need to show more of Chopin's flavor and style. Especially the beginning, the first note should be louder.

  • This song is nice but makes me feel drowsy... (-.-")

  • hes left hand is weird...= =''...

  • im wondering y would he play something this easy...i played this on my grade 6 exam...

  • @JerryLI1017

You really dont know the barbarity you're saying? You can play this in what year you want, but every time a year pass, the exigency will grow and you'll notice that the musicality, the way you play a single note, the phrasing and other aspects will be so much important as the rest, like the technique. You should be an awesome pianist, you played this in your 6th grade. Did you played it perfectly? If I were you I would take this comment, it makes you look like a dumb, no offense.

  • @ALPRAS couldn't agree more!

  • @JerryLI1017 Grade 6? It's in my Grade 7 Trinity Guildhall exams [formerly Trinity College London]

  • The last several years, Chopin did his most advanced works in terms of subtle beauty.. you can see him almost looking into the future at different musical colors than were heard in his era... so different from his earlier pieces..

  • not enough dramatic, and often off tempo for no good reason

  • @s2818sa21 your kidding right?

  • @josefzachariassen nah this is no chopin, this is a someone trying to add up unwritten stuff, wanting to make it his...

  • i wouldn't play it this way, its not enough dramatic

  • @s2818sa21 Kissin plays this perfect, best version on Youtube, bar none. Please my friend, play YOUR version of this piece and post it on Youtube. Because I can't wait to see a more ''dramatic'' version. Rubatos, the tempo, the articulation etc. everthing is JUST PERFECT in this version. I can't even listen to other versions after this one..

  • This song actually can give u a vague feeling of Chopin's life (that is if u know a bit about him)

  • @aznlawrenzo : You're right.

  • Kissin is such a genius. So many of the great pianists seem to have been born with that as their destiny. In comment to others who have said Kissin's emotional intelligence is high, yes it is and it really is a prerequisite to my way of thinking to interpreting the high emotional complexity of Chopin. There is always 'something else' Chopin has to say in his musical phrasing, just as Mozart's music. Such a wonder. We are so fortunate to have so many great pianists for our experience.

  • I'm auditioning with this tomorrow

  • God liked this video

  • Those are Korean subtitles right?

  • !!!!!!!!

  • BRAVO KISSIN !!!!!!

  • Exquisite.

  • I haven't cried from a piece in a very long time...until now

  • AMAZING!!!

I am playing this for my exam this year...I wish I were as good as this!

  • he is a genious a very good musician :D

  • beautiful

  • come on 2 dislikes ..... who the hell can dislike thissss :S:S:@:@

  • why didnt chopin like this?

i think its a beautiful Mazurka

  • @Balgig Just because something is posthumous doesn't necessarily mean he didn't like it.

  • listening to this makes me droll..

and the ending.. it's so dramatic.. like your heart is being drained

  • Whoa! he sweat! It should be a long concert for him

  • What is the year and location of the recording ?

  • Kissin recorded a whole CD of these mazurkas under EMI classics. In my opinion, he plays them better than anyone in the world.

  • i adore this guy!

  • he played this so well! i'm learnin it right now, and it sounds like crap compared to this dude.

  • at the beginning, he should have instead yelled out 'a minor mazurka by chopin'

  • I wish I can play this piece as good as Evgeny. =( This is soo beautiful.

  • @nelsyeung Do you mean that you wish you had the discipline to practice this piece like Kissin? :)

Because his discipline would be have much greater value than just playing this piece alone, and it allow you to play other pieces very well too. However, his inner genius would also be nice to have haha

  • @TwelfthRoot2 haha 'inner genius' is little more than a lifetime of obsessive practise + a bit of luck with the right teachers. Having asperger's syndrome (which at least half of top pianists have) also helps.

  • @jegspillerpiano My brother has that. He quit piano because he was not good at it... Aspergers is a lighter version of Autism.

  • @TwelfthRoot2 Hehe I did get 21/22 playing this and got the distinction in grade 7. But my teacher did say that because he is so high skilled, the dynamic changes and the distinct pedalling at that speed made it quite hard to master. Hehe but yes it will take a lot discipline to play like him. My teacher actually said it will take a bit longer to play this piece, if I followed his interpretation.

  • why are you people arguing about god and shit, get a life and show some respect to the musician.

  • good point. i think arguing is best kept outside the youtube channel lol. people are entitled to their own opinions and time shouldnt be spent in such a way. so enjoy the music!!! :)

  • Kissin gets to heart of this piece.

  • Fabulous. I'm currently trying to play this mazurka and Evgeny is very inspiring. What a genius!

  • beautiful interpretation

  • wow this guy does it soo well. im having so much trouble with this song with all the rubato and feeling

  • Do you know that Chopin wanted to burn notes of this Mazurka and of many many more great compositions/ He tought that they are to simple and not well-done

  • i would love to see a citation for that

  • this is my favorite mazurka

  • geniusz!!!!!!!!! the best!!!!!

  • super! I want play too this mazurka

  • my little sis is learning how to play this and like... it sounds so pretty!

  • it's easy, but the interpretation is too hard ;)

  • i think all the mazurkas are hard about the interpretation

  • im learnin how 2 play this but i suck!

  • me too :(

  • on dira un tir de fusil gratuit sur la mélodie pour le forte....

  • Praise God!!!! Such a beautiful movement of opus 67!! I will be performing this, along with the other three, parts of this opus soon! I hope that i can play it so that others will receive God!

  • what does God have to do whith this Mazurka?

If you want others to receive God, play Bach´s chorals, Mozart´s Requiem...etc...but believe me this doesn´t have todo anything with God...

i mean...i love God...too...but...this is a "Mazurka" which is a polish Dance... so..u know... nothing to do with God...

but hey!! your intention is good!!

    Try playing Beethoven´s stuff too!!

  • lol thank you for the comment! but everthing i play, no matter what it is, i play for the glory of God!!! He is my everything! So i praise Him in all that i do! what an honor to perform someone elses music for God! everything on this earth has to do with God cuz he created everything! well take care and thanks!

  • well you know, that would be an issue for me...cuz i cannot play and dedicate God what wasn´t meant to be that way... i mean...if for example...there´s a song with a beautiful melody talking about Satan...i wouldn´t dare to keep the melody and change the lyrics to praise God, because the intention of the original work wasn´t meant to be like that...

i really love God...but i rather dedicating things dedicated to him in the first place..,

    Greetings

    God Bless!

  • oh thats ok man. it is up to the person (free will). But hey take care and God bless ok!

  • What a tragically depraved individual you are! Try listening to the beautiful music! Besides, though I don't believe in God, I wonder, hypothetically, how could an entity which created the universe not have something to do with this music, which exists in the universe? Oh wait, I get it, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven - all Germans/ Austrians, and this - Polish, so you're just a racist, like Hitler, right? It has nothing to do with your mythology, you're just a racist bigot! Open your mind.

  • I´m not racist... i love polish composers, such Chopin, but... my point here is...for example, Rap music, and Hip hop music... have nothing to do with God... Thank God music exists...but believing that God invented Rap or whatever is a mistake...this mazurka is beautiful but, i wouldn´t play it in a church because the intention of this Mazurka wasn´t the praise of God, but for dancing or enjoying it somewhere else.

I love music, I study composition. And i´m sorry if my point wasn´t clear.

  • If god created the universe, then he created everything. so he created all music. or did rap come from nothing, or did some other deity create rap? try using logic once in a while.

  • durkma, calm down. if you don't believe in God, don't annoy other people about it.

  • @schnisha95 not god made us we made god ... its out of every persons situation how god is...

for example the sentence "god is fair" depends on your situation ;)

  • @Firesale92 that much depends on your own beliefs.

  • and your own situation and thats what i'm sayin :)

  • You should play for your fellow humans, because they actually exist.

  • i already did! but i gave my praises to my God! I played my heart out to the Lord because he created music. its just that satan loves to steal what God intended to be for Him! I can not believe you do not believe in the Lord. God created the heavens and the Earth. Genesis 1:1 but i will pray for you!

  • The Bible is a myth. And I'll not be satisfied with your prayers, you must also sacrifice a chicken and a goat to Zeus for me or shall he smite ye with his mighty lightning bolts!

  • then let him smite me! Greater is He that lives in me than he that is in the Earth!!! You were the one saying that you love God... but hey its ok. God will deal with your heart. Idk why people get all upset at God when they dont even believe in Him. Idk but He is real and thats all there is to it.

  • You connot say the bible is a myth because the bible isn't a myth, FACT. You can say you think it has no relevance etc, but that is all.

  • I can say whatever I like. Are you going to stand there and tell me that snakes can talk, a single boat could hold all the animals, and that we all descneded from a 600 year old white man named Noah? MYTH. Whence the black people and native americans? Did the bible even mention native americans? no. it did mention the blacks though. It told people to take them as slaves. FACT grow up

  • Ok please don't be ignorant enough to say that the flood is myth. The flood is proven by carbon dating. It was set in the east where there are some black people and infact Ham was mentioned and Ham was black. But why does that need to be mentioned? The bible doens't tell people to take anyone as slaves never mind black people. Where did you get an idea like that? It's not in the bible. FACT. Having my own side of an argument doesn't insinuate that I am of a low mental age fool. FACT.

  • No slaves! have you even read the bible? try Leviticus 25:44-46 for instance. flood? no. I'm a scientist and there is no way "carbon dating" could provide evidence for a flood. have you taken chemistry? the evidence would be in the erosion of the landscape, archaeology, and tree rings (dendochronology). but that's not the point. the point is "Noah's ark" - you couldn't fit two each of all the animals on a boat. it's a myth. like Hercules or the Matrix

  • Yes, I read the bible regularly, I'm a student of the bible. But I can't see the point in continuing the conversation when I believe that god has the power to do whatever he wishes. He couldn't fit the animals in the ark? The psalms say, "the hand of Jehovah is cut short is it?". But why argue?

  • So if god can fit 10 million species on a boat to save them from a flood he created out of his own anger then why cant he stop war, AIDs, or hunger?

  • 10 million species, all derived from a few. Wolves, Hounds, Chihuahua's, Sausage dogs, Rottweilers etc etc all the same family. All you need is say two kinds of dogs and you have potential for millions of different kinds. You only need the 'family heads' as it were.

And why can't god stop war AIDs and hunger? And you say a I'm the one who hasn't read the bible. Read it, then we'll talk.

  • Forget the amphibians, the reptiles, the birds, the insects; even among mammals, there are over 5000 species. You don't get new species in 6 thousand years. Try millions. Rottweilers and Chihuahuas are the same species. Canis lupus familiaris. They can mate. And if evolution happened, the bible would mention it. Actually, the bible says god created them all from the start. So yes, Noah would need to jam all of em in. Myth. And the bible doesn't solve the problem of evil, it dodges it, at best.

  • @durkma2 The fact is, that if god created the earth it would not be out of his reach to be able to get animals onto the ark, you only need family heads to make millions of different types on animals.

The bible says that god created all of the animals yes. It didn't say that he could create every animal that could ever possibly be.

If you read and understood the bible you would conclude that the bible DOES in fact solve the problem of evil, but it' can't be answered with 500 words.

  • OK Benjy, you're young and uneducated, you're just going to have to go discover the difference between myth and fact for yourself. Go and study mathematics, the philosophy of logic, the science of chemistry and biology, human literature and history, and discover all the evidence. Then ask yourself if it is more likely that the bible is literal and factual, or if perhaps certain parts of it are myth created by man.

  • Yes correct I know nothing, because you have too much pride. I am not the uneducated minor here, you are. If someone has a different opinion you don't simply conclude "Oh they're wrong, they know nothing, they should believe what I believe!". Romans 1:20-23 says that god's invisible qualities are CLEARLY seen in his creation and that men squirm around looking for answers and conclude there is no god. Look at creation, even scientists who are 'logical' men conclude that there is design.

  • IT IS INEXCUSABLE. You cannot deny that we were created, there are too many coincidences. Look at the immune system, blood clotting, reproduction, the sperm, the egg, the genes, the DNA to name only a few. Who the heck had the bright idea that all of these intricately made systems can from NOTHING? An idiot. I know Biology, I know enough of mathematics to know that not even the greatest minds could understand it fully, and you believe that it's an accident? I am not the uneducated one.

  • You are not going to move or change what I believe because I have a strong faith and no, not a blind faith, a faith that I can back up with evidence. You can get annoyed and curse me all you like but the fact is that there are too many coincidences in bible prophecy for it to be wrong. There are hundreds of prophecies without mentioning the flood that have been proven true and not a few of those have and are coming true TODAY.

  • @BenjyTehJet Hey are you JW ? Regards

  • @Alexenzo I am. How did you know? :)

  • i take it you have children. if you have children, i'm pretty sure that when they ask you for protection against a bully, you tell them they have to fight their own battles. even though you can probably stop the bully that's bothering them. well, God's the same way. people need to fight their own battles.

  • Hey man... here is not the church. I think that all people in here are very grateful for your opinion. But, don't you think that music is better when we are not fighting for the only fact of having the reason?. :)

  • le génie du piano après Horowitz ! phénoménal et peu autiste !

  • Im uploading this piece soon!!!

    Jordan.

  • (L)

  • Absolutely beautifully played. I'm SOOO excited, I'm going to see him in concert in March in L.A.!!
