  • This sounds really good, guys. I would personally do it a bit slower, but that's just me! Great job!

  • correction , this is the Barbershop arrangement , it can be found at the Harmonymarketplace ( and this one has the learning tracks available ) my quartet just picked it up , if we sing it 1/2 as well as this , I`ll be happy :P

  • very very good!

me and 3 other girls are doing this piece for contest in a couple weeks!

  • "A couple weeks" passed. So, how'd it go, justalimarie? :-)

  • This took my breath away! It's absolutely beautiful and chilling! Our quartet sings this song with a similar arrangement, and we'd love for you to check it out and leave us feedback! Please post more videos!

  • very nice job guys! blend is great and you are all together. I would like to hear the lead use more of a head voice, but otherwise its really good.

  • Eh, i'd have to disagree with you Corndogisgood. Leads don't need to use head voice. That's reserved for the Tenor. This is kind of barbershopish style...if you can easily hit the note, you stay in chest voice...otherwise you switch to head. If you listen to a barbershop quartet, you'll notice that the Tenor is the only one using head voice. Leads don't normally use head voice unless singing a "screamer" tag (AKA: a very high ranged tag...like Acoustix's "Stars & Stripes" tag).

  • when you say head voice i believe you mean more of a falsetto... the tenor uses falsetto.

  • Technically the same thing. The difference between the term "head voice" and the term "falsetto" is that people put "head voice" with women and "falsetto" with men. But being me, I don't really give a hoot, lol. It's still the same thing....well, depending on the method you're taught. Theories on this have actually changed over the years. I haven't kept up with the theory changes, so I have no idea where it's at now. But I do actually use the term "falsetto."

  • ya it is pretty much the same just a different tone quality, the head has a more open bright sound and isnt as thick, this is why i said i'd like to hear a head voice more in the lead. but it is very good as is so not alot needs to change.
