The only time I've ever got trapped, if you can even call it that, is like this in 3:43 and that wasn't even a trapping.

Like many others have said; most of the time you died or you were given a new chance and jamming the cube in the door quickly became old...

Some of those are pretty clever. It's hard to trap yourself in most levels, but in the case that you manage it, GLaDOS is usually happy to free you.

But many of those aren't valid trappings, they're just finding ways to kill yourself by getting trapped in the path of a moving object or inside a wall.

During Test Chamber 13 on Advanced Mode, I accidently dropped my Storage Cube in the Acid Pool Below me. Unfortunately, I needed both cubes to get out & there wasn't a replacement. TRAPPED!
