When I'm away from Coldplay for a while (since their last album) and then come back, I tend to be initially shocked by their demeanor and over-effort to be accessible. However, here is what is important - their music is fantastic and inspiring. At the end of the day, sure, they try WAY too hard, but their tunes are amazing. Just bought MX, so once again, I'm on board!

Man, the awkwardness of Chris pushing Johnny out front on a few different occasions was hard to bear. There is definitely a force within this band that is driving them to try to be something that is always more conventionally accessible. I.E. - the idea that someone needs to be out front "entertaining" the audience while on stage. Its the music that matters, and they do create great music for the most part - I just wish they weren't so concerned with being accessible. Perhaps its just me.

@awolf007 chris does that at a lot of their shows. it doesn't show that they're trying too hard, just that chris wants the other band members out front in the spotlight as well. chris and jonny are best friends so it makes sense that he does that a lot. and they do put a lot of effort into their shows, which is why they're so great live. they're concerned with being accessible because they genuinely care about their fans.

The crowd is a bunch of older people by the looks of it. If i was there i would be screaming my lungs out and moshing big time. When i saw them it was amazing, a packed stadium with tens of thousands of people, all singing as loud as they could and showing to much emotion!!

I sure love coldplay and also their live sound, but unfortunatelly they are also working with playback on stage, although it really wouldn´t be nescessary!! In detail I mean at 2:42 (guitar solo), he just plays the melody on the guitar, am I right? But where do the deeper notes, the organ sound come from? Obviously playback, but why, the bass could have easily played this, but he just stood there during the solo. I just don´t understand it!? But well, although really a great performance!!
