I was thinking of getting one of these and I was wondering if it would be what I am looking for. I know I want a Dr. Z but I want to make sure this is the one for me and I think it is but I thought I'd ask you a few questiona. I'm looking for a thick/chunkier dirty rhythm tone and a smoother lead tone but still thick. I want something Marshally. I was trying to decide between this or the Remedy but I like the fact this one has a Gain knob. Do you think this would fit the bill for me?! Thanks!
Wow, that compression at ALL levels is what is lacking in 800 series Marshalls I've played. You have to get them so damn loud to reach that point that your high-mid hearing is shredded. Great demo, would LOVE to own one.
This has Been My #1 Go to Amp for the last 8 years! It's a 96' SRZ RH EL34 It goes from semi clean to nasty in a hurry! I want to thank my Good friend Partner in Tone! Ringmod for perfoming this great Demo!!! AWESOME PLAYER!!!
@guitarist710 Save your money. Vintage Fenders are cool when they work. A tube and cap job can add $150-$300 on top of what you already paid for it.

i want this amp soooo bad! the price is out of my 21-year-old range though.
cheaper to go with a vintage fender head. they get the best crunch sounds with the gain turned up, and 700 is a lot easier on the waller than 1700.

Yes, this amp is great; you would love it. You may also like the Monza, it has a lot of gain.

Great demo. Do like the SRZ-65 better than your Remedy?

@stratsnfuzz
They are very different amps. You can't go wrong with either one.
