  • This is SO BAD FOR THE ENVIROMENT YOU HAVE TO RECYCLE THEM FIRST BARBARIAN PEOPLE!

  • omg can the jaws of this machine be stopped?

  • One way to get rid of a FUCKLOAD of tv's. LOL....

  • and this is what they make out of ipods and touchscreens out of old crappy tvs

  • This is the poorest and the most stupid waste company I´ve seen because this company still hasn´t been able to understand that there are dozens of monitors, TV´s ,microwave ovens etc. at each collection point on the trash days. Each appliance contains copper ,aluminium ,gold and dangerous heavy metals like lead and mercury so electronic waste must be recycled corectly in waste recycling companies not be sent to landfill. How many trash days will have to pass so that the company understannd this?

  • Converting the whole of new york into a garbage dump would last the country 2000 years.

  • ...it would be funny if after all the stuff was crushed a person from the tv show Antiques Roadshow walked by and said " Omg! you just destroyed a priceless piece from the 1800's that was worth $1million dollars!"...

  • An area of 34sq miles has enough landfill space to last 1000 years.

Surely by then things would of improved somewhat.

As for metal, well theres no need to worry, theres enough to last pretty much forever

  • holy carp that was great but i hope you swept the glass off the road afterwards

  • Such a waste... over the years I've seen so much waste. We live in a throwaway economy where it is cheaper to throw away the old and buy new. Thing is people need to stop thinking about money so much and start thinking about resources. I bet most of that could have been re-purposed, repaired and/or reused for years to come. Instead it ended up in some landfill I'm sure.

  • Yes most of this stuff could have been repaired for reuse, unfortunately it isn't worth my time since nobody wants to buy used appliances like this anymore.

I did however remove the recyclables like copper and aluminum.

  • @packrat79 I'd buy it if it was around here. I'm sure if you put the word out and didn't overcharge (like so many do) someone would be interested. As of right now I could use a TV as I don't have one. I personally prefer older TVs over newer ones. If it runs well and I can hook up a cable box or digital tv box I'll be fine.

  • when will it poop? LOL

  • Any one who complains is just jealous because their garbage men wont take big things like these

  • if you look at the video it clearly shows wire and metal........you only recyled what your lazy face saw.............And $60.00 a ton is better then 600 years in a landfill.......scumbag

  • @packrat79 lol

  • No, it gets sent into outer space

  • @packrat79 HAHAHAH-"it gets sent to outer space" the public is so silly! Actually the public sucks!

  • you should have removed the metal before disposing of, silly man!!!

  • All copper and aluminum was stripped from this stuff and recycled, but the steel was not worth recycling (at $60 a ton).

  • @packrat79 Its no excuse, silly man!!!

  • no way our bin men would take that much

  • could make money scrapping a bunch of that junk

  • I stripped this stuff of recyclables like copper and aluminum, and made some money that way. What's left is totally worthless.

  • @packrat79 first the enviroment than your wallet you stupid earthling!

  • thanks mates!

  • i think i would be wearing some saftey glasses for sure....

  • What a bunch of yaboes. Hasn't anyone there heard of recycling?

  • Probably the best reasons why garbage men stay working as garbage men. DESTRUCTION!

  • them were the good tvs that we cant get any more

  • Thumbs up for your vids, keep em comming (Ie: TV burn, dropped from a cliff, smashed in a rock quarry, burried in a landfill with Liberals)

  • AAAHH!! All those nice old TVs!!

  • So that is how "Flat screen tv's" are made, LOL.. Great job!

  • you sissy-ass liberal faggots.

  • holy tit...........the power of hydraulics

  • shit no buddy has that manny old tvs you must did this as a joke like went trash picking or picking at the dump to get all them tvs im shoure there not laughing if i was the garbage man i just leave it and let the oner take it all to the dump

  • Now I know how they make a "Flat Screen Tv" ...LOL...

  • action !! ;D

  • watching this gives me a boner

  • are you serious? Im not making fun of you or anything, I just want to know if people really get off looking at garbage...

  • im dead serious, fetishes can be of anything, it has to do with psychological conditioning at an early age, and it's nothing we're conscious of. Fetishes also dont = being crazy.

  • How on earth does one develop a garbage fetish?

  • Well your one of them otherwise you wouldn't be on this video page.

  • What's that chain on the packer blade used for?

  • its used to dump large dumpsters

  • ge our town we are only aloud 2 bags or cans the rest we have to take it to the dump thats amazing if your town colection can take that pile of shit

  • thats how i got my bionic arm , yrs ago

  • check out the smashing videos on my channel

  • were did all dat come from

  • at 1:47 the TV got cut in half

  • How do you get all of that suff :)

  • Interesting. From about 0:20, to 1:00 an EZ-Pack garbage truck is being used (it's not the same as the green one that backs up at the beginning of the video which is a Heil). I remember they had EZ-pack trucks when I lived in Toronto from 1990-1997.

  • EZ paks, or those Fanotechs?

  • DAMN! LOL

  • all them t.v.s that were in that pile all had copper rings on the back of the tubes but now that metal will sit in a landfill

  • They're called deflection yokes and for the last time, they and all recyclable materials were removed from these before disposal!!!!

  • All the recyclable materials were removed? Kind of hard to miss all the metal in there. Thats worth the most.

  • Things like plastic, glass, rubber, lead parts, wire striping (plastic that goes around wires) I will throw away.

Anyway, cool video, though it is rather sad to see the old wooden ones die (R.I.P. American craftsman ship).

  • Comment removed

  • Is this really America? How sad.

  • OMG look at all that stuff!!! I love how rear loaders can just crush that stuff. I saw a couch go in one of those things once, no comparison to the newer side loaders. Maybe it's just that great crunch sound.

  • fuck that packer is slow lol did he forgot to put it in neutral lol our truck picks up recycling and garbage its a split box RL

  • will it crush? that is the question. that would be a lot of despeakered TVs (remove loudspeakers) if I was there b4 the truck and found all those TVS id gut all of the junk there for parts lol.

  • cool

  • In all states soon enough all TVs and monitors will be banned from the landfill

  • In Minnesota It is Illegal to throw TVs in the Landfill

  • Remind me never to move to Minnesota.....

  • Just you wait, in time to come all TVs and monitors will need to be disposed properly because TVs and Monitors contain hazardous chemicals such as led that should not be put into the landfill.

  • @chrisstv1979

    they also cantain mercury

  • Also von Mülltrennung, bzw. Elektroschrott scheinen die nichts zu kennen.

  • Me hungry garbage truck!

  • This is what causes polution

  • does the stuff work

  • YES! SOme nice E-trash that will later on get to our water maps! sweet lets all die from cancer....

  • I cannot believe people actually buy videos of this! It's so horribly destructive! I bet lots of that stuff could be parted out and sold off to folks who could actually USE the pieces!

  • I don't know how many times I have to say this, but:

Everything here was stripped of any recyclable/reusable parts, including copper, aluminum, and various electronic components. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - you want to complain, complain to the people who discard perfectly good appliances in the first place. I'm just the middle man.

As for the video sales, all I can say is hey, we're guys, it's just our nature to enjoy seeing stuff get destroyed.

  • Thats a crock of shit i saw a whole mess of metal/plastic/glass.

  • These two just don't seem to get it.

  • You couldn't have removed the pollutants from those CRTs that got broken and exposed those workers to lead and barium. Wheres OSHA when you need them?

  • lol, this is some of the best TRASH on the TUBE!!!you turned those old tv's into FLAT SCREEN MODELS,they never looked or sounded so good until now!!

  • dang, is all that going to a landfill?

  • Just received the video today, awesome!! This video has professional quality menus and resolution. Great smashing action!!! I hope you sell a bunch these, you definitely got some time invested in this. You have my recommendation, fast shipping too!!

  • Glad you enjoyed it & thanks for the recommendation, I'm hoping to make another one if I get enough new video....

  • Great video!! Anybody actually purchase the video? I dont like the paypal link, looks like a fake and there is no secure log in, not sure about sending about money for this

  • I've sold about 15 copies so far.... yeah I know, I won't be able to buy a Porsche anytime soon, but it's at least a bit of extra pocket change. The Paypal link is legit, you should be able to log on securely. If not you can also send a cheque/money order, just E-mail me from the link on the site for instructions.

  • Idiots! Those could have been kept. Who cares if they dont work, their anteques.

  • Stuff from the 80's isn't old enough to be considered antique.

  • thats alot of trash

  • hay canadianbuck7. when u die ill dump a shit load of tvs on ur burial site. u dumass

  • When we were done loading up the tv's we drove them to a lake on an indian reserve and dumped them there.

  • Yeah that's a good way to improve relations with the first nations people.....

  • Wow.. what ashame!! all those electronics going to wastes! Stupid! I used to take apart any electronics I could find (except TVs/monitors) and pull all the circuit boards out for recycling! Now you just go and throw so much of it away! All that gold and precious metals, as well as toxic metals, being thrown away!! How stupid! electronics ARE recyclable!!!

  • i saved 20 vacuums from that fate. ii feel like a hero. i am a good person.

  • i used to pull speakers out of stereo console and tvs in the trash.

  • I would have kept the appliances for the Cabinetry,,,,Quality has kind of been swept to the side when it comes to appliances and electronics,,,everything is blk n cheap lookin...I even love the old chrome nobs on the old appliances

  • is thre anything that these what looked like a heil cant compact if there is let me know if they have a hard time doing it try to get a vid of it

  • thats a long ass truck

    great vid!

  • Videos like this make me want to gouge my eyes out. There were probably many collectible and desirable units in that pile. The least they could've done was taken it to a bunch of thrift stores. The stuff is recyclable for parts, at the very least. Please excuse me while I go get a fork. DX

  • Trust me - there was NOTHING collectible or desirable in this stuff. I personally collect antique radios and even vintage TVs (including some that many collectors wouldn't bother with), and have kept anything good either for myself or to sell. Anything that does end up in the junk has been stripped of any useful parts or recyclable metals. How many times do I have to keep repeating myself?

  • Sorry, didn't read all the comments. That makes me feel better in any case. :)

  • were did all of it come from?

  • OMG! all those TV tubes contain toxic substances, which will be released into the environment and the stupid workers are stood there breathing in the toxic dust. New regulations have come into force in Britain requiring that all electronic waste is collected and properly recycled. Google WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

  • thats the footage i was looking for ^^

  • I hope all those TVs got recycled

  • Any recyclable stuff (copper, aluminum, etc) was removed prior to disposal. I once inquired about recycling the glass picture tubes but the recycler told me TV glass cannot be recycled :-(

  • What about all the lead.. like 4-8 pounds per TV, and that leaded glass should not be landfilled, the recycler is stupid for saying it cannot be recycled, it CAN be, just at the right locations! The tubes contain so much lead..

  • Ahhhh! Thats how you make a " flat-screen"!

  • tv got owned

  • AWESOME VIDEO!

Better than the last one...keep'em comming!

  • Wow ... Thats alot of TVs ! o.o Man ! If only i lived there =( .

  • There's more stuff coming out off the truck then there

    was thrown in!

  • GREAT FOOTAGE!!!!!!!

  • Now you see it...now you don't! CRUNCH CRUNCH!!! Great job again!

  • And I thought that I owned a lot of TV's! Nice highlight reel
