He has no idea what is going on around him while he is looking through his viewfinder. hinsight is always 20/20. the pats had put up 500 yards of offense against the then #1 ranked defense in the league...they only needed two yards...manning had already taken the colts on two 70-yard drives in the 4th quarter....plus it wasnt an insult to the defense..the call was a testimate to how well his offense and manning were playing....

Combine those and you have a 74% chance of ending game by going for 4th and 2. Punt the ball to Manning with 2 minutes left, time outs and 70 yards to go and MAYBE you still have a 60% chance of winning.
